I think it's nappy-time already, I'm so tired and it's only 10 am !!

got alla da critters fed, and inspected the newly-roofed shelter.

I was nervous yesterday, as it rained very heavily after the crew left... so, I worried that it would wreck the concrete slab.

HAPPY to see it's okay, luckily, it was a very SHORT downpour.

the main reason I'm so goshdang tuckered is I gave a tour to half-a-dozen neighborhood kids, they wanted to see all the new patitos y conejillos (baby ducklings and baby guinea pigs)

then, they picked fallen mangoes for an hour, while I supervised, and provided (used - recycled) plastic bags for their booty.

it's good to feel PART of a village, and to share, because I hate waste... there's so many mangoes we couldn't possibly eat them all...

we canned cases and cases of chunked fruit, jams, preserves, and even made some really great chutney, so basically, I don't wanna even LOOK at mangoes for a while.

and remember, my hands are all swollen from mango-rash (same oil that causes poison oak and poison ivy) so, I promise I didn't help pick this time.

oh, and my honey made falafels for breakfast, since it's officially Falafel Day:

Did some light chores and ready for a nap here too. It amazes me sometimes how something so small can wipe a body out. But I am doing it bit by bit. It may not be perfect, but it looks a lot better than it did before I started.

It has been raining/storming here since last night. I may need to build a raft. I went into my office this morning and finished my last syllabus. Now I am off to get something to eat. I don't think I have done too well this week with the diet.

Howdy Joelle! Come on in and make yerself comfy. Never mind trying to get caught up 'cause you can't. I try to post once a weekday and just lurk on the weekends. A or says it all when there are too many posts to respond to. Hitting the thanks button works just as well. I should do that more often.

Well I got a few things done but need to get back at it. Ugh. Think I'll tackle the mountain of dishes next. Gotta get out from under this mess before I can really play.

OHG (Our Hearts Greeting) has put my work up on their site. I am so excited about it and hope that it helps them raise funds for their cause. If I can figure out how to put a link up in my profile I will. Otherwise, the painting titled Colors of Water in my album is the one that I donated to them.

Apparently, this month they sent out over 100 thank yous to their nominees! I am sure funds are low now so hopefully this will help them. It is the only thing I could offer.

Dang it! I can't figure it out. lol Maybe after my nap.
