Finny, I shudder to even *think* of getting on a treadmill!
I remember trying to join a clinical trial way back in the mid 90s. they had us walk up and down a hall until we couldn't go any more. I scored too high to be part of the trial... ah, the good ol' days! :D update on the wood-nymph hippie-chick au-naturel duck-nest in a tree-trunk: after I saw how hard our duck was working to make herself a natural-type nest, we decided to help her out a bit. first, Amelio cut some palm fronds: http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/1706/dscn4460bn4.jpg then, we gathered some sticks and branches... and we built a little shelter over the nest, so the duck won't have to sit in the rain. http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/904/dscn4456fs0.jpg Muscovy Ducks spend one to two weeks laying an egg every day... here's what she's laid so far: http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/2554/dscn4458dl8.jpg ducks sit on their nests for THIRTY FIVE days straight, with only two short "bathroom breaks" per day. during those breaks, they have to quickly find food, and get back to the nest, to keep the eggs warm. so... I've begun making daily corn & cabbage deliveries to the pond area, to make things easier for our hard-workin' lady. |
Hi all :) Just a quick drop in to the board today. Lots of stuff to do and warm weather heading our way for a few days. The cabin fever is getting to me, LOL :D

Me, three ... been busy ... starting 2 new courses this week ... won't know about finals and grades until wednesday ...
working at getting caught up ... with everything ... |
Me, four. 72 degrees here so I went to an outlet mall that is about 30 miles away. Supposed to get snow and freezing rain on Tuesday. Bought some more outfits for my niece and a new pair of pajamas for me. When did PJ's become my favorite clothes?

Barb was wondering myself when no makeup and sweat suits became "fashionable" LOL
|
drawstring or elastic-waist cotton pants that pull down quickly for those "hurry up" days.
pull-over cotton shirts for quick-change artistry after the usual drink and food accidents. slip-on cotton canvas shoes, to avoid "fumbling with laces" moments. white cotton undies for easy bleaching and washing out of the inevitable stains. hair sheared into a pixie cut, wash & dry in 10 minutes... no make-up, hair gel or spray, no stockings, high heels or dressy clothes... yeppers, Kay's TOTALLY fashionable!! |
And forget about bra wearing!
