Getting ready for the adventure to the in-law's. This is going to be fun since I'm really low on energy today. Walking has been a fun house type of event today, but got most of what I wanted done. So that's a plus!

I'll be offline for the holiday, so don't worry if I don't check in. Hope everyone has a wonderful day tomorrow. :hug:

~~~~~~~~
Tami and Debbie D, Hope you guys feel better soon. :hug:
Weave, still crossing fingers for ya!
Kay, that's cool you'll be able to help out your neighbors.
Tom is continuing to thaw in the fridge, the whipped topping is thawed, cranberry sauce is chilling, cider got tapped but not drained, Waldorf salad is made, frozen summer corn location is known, DD is baking the pumpkin pies after church tonight, DS is doing the mashed potato tomorrow... Hmm. That leaves me with pie crusts to make for DD tonight and swiss vegetable medley tomorrow. Oh and don't forget the gravy! I think that is everything. Got it all under control. I think. Wonder just how frozen the stupid bird will still be in the morning. Dang thing never is completely thawed.
When I attempt to count my many blessings I count each one of you (lurkers too!) twice. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. God be with our troops and their families. Where ever they are.
Awwww, I just had a blast from the past. One of my students found me on Facebook and is talking to me. He's done so well for himself. He works for AT&T and has his own condo in downtown Chicago. Warms my heart to see my students doing well. He even told me how much he missed me and I was his favorite teacher. Awwwww.
Thanks Frank. As for the job what happens, happens. I don't have any control over it now. The fact that she called me after my interview with a question gives me continued hope. On the other hand I'm a bit concerned what my one new reference will say about me. It is my pastor and I haven't gone to church for several months. I have spoken to him at length several times but the fact that I'm not currently a regular church attender may cost me the job. I don't know. I still have my fingers crossed though and admit getting hired there would make a fantastic early Christmas present.
A very Happy Thanksgiving to you and Deb. :hug:
I finished decorating my house for Christmas today. (And I have not graded a single paper!:D) I usually wait until after Thankgsgiving to decorate, but felt the need to do it last night and today. And I am a bit obsessive.:o Once I start, I do not want to stop until I am done. My legs seem to be getting back to my "normal".
Weave,
I wonder if they call and ask why you haven't been to church lately, what you could say...could you say you've been dealing with some family issues that have required your full attention? It would be a good idea to have some replies in store, just in case.
I can remember my first job interview after having been a homemaker for 15 yrs...I needed to get out of the house, so I applied for a part time job at a bookstore. I got the job, but was floored at how much I didn't know on my first day...so overwhelming!! It was a great decision, though. The job helped me grow...so don't be worried about your doubts. It's fear...as they say, feel the fear and do it anyway:)
in the morning, if Tom isn't thawed all the way, fill the sink with cold water and drop him in...change the water every 30 min. It really speeds it up. But check it early...good luck!!
Sarah, watch those roids...if you need them, then why don't they put two and two together and figure out why?
Enjoy the date:hug:
I feel much better this evening...my cheeks started to hurt like my forehead, so on a hunch I took some decongestants...voila...headache gone. Probably a sinus thing...
Have a great holiday...:grouphug:
Happy Thanksgiving Eve everybody! :grouphug:
My pies are made, one regular pumpkin, one regular cheesecake and one Decadent Chocolate Lover's Pie. Mmmm-mmm did the filling taste good! A nine inch pie serves 12! It's made with cocoa for the chocolate graham cracker crust, whipping cream and chocolate chips go into the filling and topping. :Starvin: I need to get a sliver of that one and the cheesecake before they're gone tomorrow.
I had my infusion today and I didn't have as much fatigue during and after. I think it's because of the Provigil. My MRI was clear, no new lesions! :) Also, something interesting, my eye doctor mailed several pages of eye test results to the neuro. He said I have damage typical for MS patients. I had a feeling my eyes might be affected, but I don't remember any symptoms screaming out at me, you know? In the past I'd always figured my eyes were the only part of me to not have any symptoms.
We're going out of town to DH's nephew's house tomorrow. For those of you having a quiet day at home, I'm sending you some extra hugs... :hug::hug::hug:
I'm thinking of ways to solve the housekeeping situation. I need to get rid of lots of clutter first and it will be easier to approach. Wish me luck! I want to be able to host dinners and company without worrying about the messes so much.
