Having a hard time falling to sleep. The Olhipie hit the pillow and was gone pretty quick. Every night after he is all tucked in I read to him. Usually he can stay awake for quite a while. Lately he is quite the sleep bones. Before my surgery it was the other way around I would fall asleep reading if you can imagine that to fall asleep reading out loud. The Olhipie would just laugh at me...

Tomorrow we are having our grand dinner in the evening. My kids didn't want me to work myself to death. The Olhipie wanted me to set the alarm for 7am so he could get up and help me...I wasn't even planning on that early but I probably should...hmmmm are there any football games starting that early?

Good Morning everyone!! Happy Thanksgiving!

My turkey is in the oven roasting away. I just mixed up the sweet potato casserole and the green bean casserole and put them in the fridge till it's "oven time". Still need to make the macaroni and cheese and dressing (with sage!!).

I was chopping onions and celery at the island in the kitchen and Kevin came in the keep me company. Didn't really have a choice....he was sleeping on the couch so Jessica could have his bed and I was sort of making alot of racket in the kitchen.... Anyway, he comes into the kitchen and pulls up a bar stool to the island and just sits and chats with me while I'm chopping the veggies....it was so nice. We talked about his job and the bombing in India and the car he really wants to get after he pays the lease off on the truck and why he should at least try a bite of the green bean casserole even though it has Cream of Mushroom soup in it!! :p Just a whole lot of different stuff. It's hard to believe he's 21 already.

I've got to go shower and put my "face" on. It's just getting scarier and scarier if I don't take the time to do that!! :o

I hope all of ya'll have a wonderful day....whatever you're doing. Remember, food has no calories till after New Years!! :p

Wait! I don't think thats sage yall are smellin! Frank are you smoking the turkey???? Or is the turkey smokin?

I made my punchbowl cake last night have to make the carrot cake this morning and get started on the sweet potatos as they take forever!! The cranberry sauce only takes about 30 minutes. I have to be at moms at 2.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!! I am especially thankful that I can pop in here whenever and be surrounded by all of my freinds! And really reallllly thankful that I have Sandy to call and bounce everything off of!

We're up and drinking coffee trying to wake up. All of my cooking is done so all I have to do is get ready and pack the car. Oh and pray my pans don't get tossed around in the van. haha!

Have a very good Thanksgiving everyone. Today is a day to be thankful but we all know when family gets together sometimes it can be stressful. Shake off the stress and be blessed. I know I will have to do that since there will be about 20 people including rambunctious kids at my uncles house! :hug:
