is TOO !!

it's just a basic white sauce, with cream added for extra ooomph.

it's for my scalloped taters...

2 tbs butter, 2 tbsp flour, stir, stir, stir... and add a cup of milk...

keep stirring until thickened.

then, add PILES of grated cheese, stirring until smooth...

pour over thinly sliced potato rounds, and keep in fridge until turkey (well, in OUR case, a rather LARGE chicken, 12 lbs, lol!) is about one hour from being done.

grate some cheese over the top, and bake until bubbly, cheese on top nicely browned, and potatoes thoroughly cooked, about an hour, depending on SIZE of casserole.

Renee - Why are you drinking Maker's Mark this early? LOL All I could think of was a way to deal with family. LOL.

The Makers Mark is for my sweet potato casserole!!! I set it on fire and add it to the sweet potatos and let the brown sugar carmelize. YUMMMOOOO

of course you cannot open a bottle of Makers Mark without a little sampling to make sure it is good! :trampoline:

I just had a brilliant idea moment. I was going to bring everything over to DBF's to cook dinner there. Well, his kitchen supplies is about a step or 2 above camping. Seriously, I was going to have to pack up my mixer, bowls, pans to cook the turkey in, and the list goes on. LOL. I was making a list of what I need to bring when I realized it would take about an hour to cook up dinner so why not do it here? DUH!! Then I'll just bring the already made dinner over.

Off to start cooking . . .
