Kelly - The GTG was great. I just wish I had been feeling better. I am usually a little more lively. I still don't really feel well, but it was great meeting her and seeing Bill again. He is a wealth of information regarding drugs and local MS functions. He also always has fabulous photos of his dive trips.

I think my DH got bored toward the end and was thinking about the Steeler game. Then her DH text messaged her about picking her up before he missed much of the game, so we had to end our little luncheon. Joelle has the pics on her camera, so you will have to wait to see them until she gets back to Florida.

Thanks for asking about the dog, too. She really seems like she is bouncing back. I really hope she will continue to improve.

Gone for the weekend and look what happens, a whole new thread to catch up on. LOL.

Sandy - Hope Nik starts feeling better. Just something to think about . . .A couple of years ago both DDs had mono. DD17 faithfully drank a vitamin drink Emergen-C twice a day. DD18 didn't. DD17 recuperated far quicker and with out lasting effects than DD18. Prior to mono, DD18 was able to fight off anything within a few days, now it takes her a lot longer not to mention that she suffers from chronic fatigue syndrome. It may be worth considering having Nik do this. You can buy it at Walgreen's.

Vonn - Some times it was not the physical place that made us happiest, it is what was going on in our lives that made us happiest. Keep that in mind also.

Frank - Yesterday, I did yard work and landscaping, cleaned a 1700 square foot home including washing walls, baseboards, windows, etc., did 6 loads of laundry, made cookies, went for my 30 minute walk, and did grocery shopping. What advice would you give me? REST and DON'T overdo it.

Ok, so I really didn't do all of that yesterday but I think you get my point. Follow that advice - REST and DON't overdo it. Give yourself some time to heal. Resting is one way of helping our bodies healing.

Fin - You're being INVADED? lol How fun to have everyone with you during Christmas.

Hi to everyone else.:hug::grouphug:

~~~
Today, I am going to finish a couple of paintings that I started yesterday and straighten up my house. I went to DBF's for the weekend and DD18 stayed here with a friend of hers. I came home yesterday and my house looked like a war zone. OK, well not a war zone, but stuff was all over the place . . . clothes on the living room floor, makeup all over the counter in the bathroom, glasses all over, shoes not put away, etc. UGH!!! I was not happy to say the least.
Good Morning all! WOW! It just took me like ''forever'' to catch up. Serves me right for being offline so much lately.
It is cold here, but sun is finally out. (25 degrees!!!) No snow yet and I wouldn't care if I ever saw any!
Frank~ I was reading about your concerns and I know that IL has a program called Circuit Breaker. A friend of my Mother's was on it and got RX's for $1.00 and heat cost reductions. I remember her saying that a few times a yr, they gave out certificates for getting groceries at the local store. That's all I really remember, and they could possibly have other discounts, but thought I'd mention it.
Kell~ Reread your first sentence in your last post!! I about fell off my chair LOL!!!!! You loose woman, you!!! :winky:
Take care everyone and hug yourself for me. :hug::grouphug::hug::hug::grouphug:
Sandy sorry to hear Nik has it. I just wanted to say I had Mono for 3 months 4 1/2 years ago. YES, adults can get it and when they do it is usually worse than a teenager. I was out of work from the end of April till the first of July. DBF brother had it twice so you can even though it is very unusual. Sandy I am sending you a PM also!
good luck! :hug:
You've got my prayers!
I had to have surgery years ago for an issue and I was pretty nervous about it. But, once it was over and I realized how good I felt (hadn't realized how much of an impact it was having on me till I had it fixed!) I was so thankful I had it done.
Just consider the hospital stay a very high priced hotel with bad service! :rolleyes: Seriously though, I hope everything turns out okay for you. I'll be thinking of you and praying. :hug:
weegot5kiz 11-10-2008 09:39 AM
hey Char .. like your 'bullwinkle' moose!!
Kelly - where I'd go in Alaska .. actually has the same jet stream weather path that comes thru Wisconsin (Zone 4) ... the only drawback is that for about 2 months - the days the sun rises around 10am .. and sets around 3pm ... I can get use to that ...
Frank - sorry .. no Sonics in Anchorage, AK ... but some pretty awesome fish stores!!
thanks, Tricia ... now you really have me thinking ... REALLY thinking!
UPDATE:
my lawyer sent me a 4-page MS questionnaire to have the doctor fill out on thursday - and sign and return ... I'm going to make copies, fill out a copy ... and go thru it with her - and then have her sign it so I can get it back to the lawyer for the hearing ..
gosh - I had to mark all the symptoms except: paralysis, blindness ... and even had to add a few: sleep apnea (only 4-5 hrs/night), stress, loss of appetite, no desire to eat, don't know if I'm full or not.
added some more pics to the quilted things that I made over the last few days!!
have a great day everyone!!
