Well I made it home and the good news is that I have completed all of my grading. The physical plant people did come and put sand/dirt on the sidewalk and next to my car so getting to my car was much easier.

The bad news is that we are under another freezing rain advisory until 6 am on Friday. I sure hope they are wrong. I would rather have your snow Sandy. I wish I had a chauffeur to drive me home for Christmas. I think I need to change my avatar!

When was the last time THIS thread went twelve hours without a post??? I was scared.

I'm up too. I've been up since 5:30 but sure could have used a little more sleep just couldn't get back to sleep as I started thinking about what I need to do today.

Oh, now don't throw snowballs at me, my a/c broke.:eek: (I think it's the compressor) Thank goodness today it is going to be in the 50's. That is going to be a top priority today as the weather may change. With my luck, it will be in the 80's again by next week.

hey little miss arizona (Trish, yooo hooo!!) ... we got 5 inches of snow wednesday morning ... and now were into getting 6-12 inches (depending on where they draw the line) for tonight .. if you check the weatherchannel online and enter my zip code - you can cool off that way if you'd like!:p

I finished the test - and believe that I actually did okay (okay, perrrty good!):D

working on a new quilting project ... and some painting ... and work on Christmas cards and letters ... seeing that one week from this morning, Santa comes!!

Vonn - That sunrise does sound beautiful. As soon as we get some snow in the mountains and higher elevations, I will go take pictures. It may even be today as it is rainy out in the lower elevations which means snow in the mountains.

I'm at the office and slowly waking up. We're still busy, but quiet busy, and that's a good thing. Crazy busy is ok too, but not likely to happen this close to Christmas.

I had a nice visit yesterday with Deb and Frank. Deb is a crafty and talented gal. We have lots of crafty and talented people here, maybe it's in the water, eh? ;)

I got my grocery shopping done yesterday for Sunday's party. I still have a few more things to get but shouldn't take too long in the stores. I'm hoping the snow and ice will hold off until tonight, and then be finished before morning since we have to drive into the suburbs tomorrow for my infusion.
We have to be there at 9:30am, through a snowstorm, and rush hour traffic... :eek: I think we'll leave extra early. I'll try to rest the remainder of the day, then cook and clean on Saturday for the party. I hope the roads will be good on Sunday so the out of towners can make it to our house ok.

Only 22 days until vacation, see the attached pic for what I'll be doing for a week, lol.

Schools (k-12) are canceled for a second day in a row because of icy roads. I have just about finished packing for my trip, and have loaded the trunk of my car with presents, etc. Now I am hoping that the freezing rain that they are forecasting for today is just rain. Please! We are under another advisory for freezing rain from 3 p.m. until 6. a.m. Although some of the some of the forecasts say we could have thunder storms after midnight. So my plan is to leave for Ohio tomorrow morning. The weather looks okay there. Still hoping to meet Jenn for breakfast on Saturday morning. (no flat tires on Saturday, okay: Sorry about that:(). The total drive is about 9 hours so I am planning on stopping in Columbus overnight to break up the trip

I probably will be out of touch for about 2 weeks. Since I totally screwed up my mother's computer the last time I was home (according to her) and she has dial up service, I plan on having a computer free holiday. So I want to wish you all a wonderful holiday. I hope you take the time to really enjoy your families and friends, and also take time to relax and de stress.

Sandy, that's Montego Bay, we love it there and the prices are reasonable! :) We're Jamericans, lol. A couple of our favorite waiters told us so.

BTW, that looks like a doozy of a storm doesn't it? :eek:

Don't forget to add a candle and matches/lighter to this as this can keep the car warm for hours. (In the mountains we get lots of snow and the Forest Service always recommends this).

Be careful all of you if you are out and about in this.
