Frank and Deb left almost an hour ago or should I say Mr and Mrs Claus? We once again had a great time visiting. They came bearing fudge, two lit up pretty Christmas trees, two beautiful lights balls (I call them disco balls) and a santa sleeping on his bed. They out did themselves. Frank took pics so I will let him do the honors of how crafty these two are. They made everything themselves and you are going to be amazed at how good they are and what the trees and light balls are made of. These two have been keeping secret about their talents and they definitely need to post their stuff on marketplace, Ebay and sell at craft booths. I even let her attach my pine cones to my evergreen centerpiece! She said she was in her element so I stepped back. lol
Deb made one tree for Jim in white with blue lights and one in green for me with multi lights. The light balls can go inside or outside. I'm not sure I trust the winds by me but Deb says they can hold up. She's not kidding, one fell off my mantle and it stayed intact. Anyway, the day was a good one except for the beef I was taste testing for Xmas eve. Definitely not buying it, too bland. :D Whoops! I forgot to add that Frank parted with something so special and gave it to Jim. A signed Cubs baseball. Jim didn't want to take it but Frank insisted because he knows how much Jim loves sports collectables. Jim still doesn't know what to say to that because the ball is a very special one. |
Sandy, Sounds like you all had a fun day. Hope you do not get buried with snow tonight.
Tricia, Sorry about the MRI but lorazepam is great:) Weave, good luck! we are all sending lots of good vibes your way. Jenn, Hopefully the GI doc can help and Hopefully, it will not involve too many tests. My update: I am really tired today (still not sleeping well) and my leg is being a pain. I am also really annoyed because I found out that the State of Illinois has not payed its health insurance premiums for over 3 months. I have over $5000 in med bills pending since September. I have not been sent any bills, But when I finally reached a person to talk at Cigna to she said they have not actually sent out any payments because the state is behind. That means the state will have to pay interest on all of these premiums to the insurers. What a mess! I do owe some money toward my deductible and max out of pocket expenses. The individual at the hospital kind of laughed when I told her that I wanted to know why they have not sent me any bills. Hope everyone is having a good evening. It is warmer here too -- 40s. It is supposed to go up to 50 degrees tomorrow and then be in the 20s on Wednesday. |
Thanks for the well wishes concerning my possible job. I have a feeling I am the only one they are considering for the job. No I don't think I am that great but that very few applied. This is a tiny, niche, not for profit library. I would be working 35 hours a month. That is month, not week. I think I would be one of three paid workers, maybe four. I'll be shocked if I make more than minimum wage. Something is better than nothing and I know I would enjoy the work so that counts for something too. Doesn't pay the bills but counts toward happiness. I sure could use a little of that right about now.
Told DH about the possible job tonight. He didn't know anything about it before hand. Truth be told I was a bit concerned about his reaction. He was fine about it. Need to go flex my credit card muscle. Gotta get some nice clothes for my possible new job. Well I'm going to get some now while the shipping is free and wait until I get the job to get more just in case it all falls apart. |
Weave thats fantastic, keep the positive vibrations flowing, cool

Frank & Deb - Those are wonderful! You guys did a great job on them. I had one of those "spheres" of lights way back when I was married. They are A LOT of work to make. What a true labor of love.
I am so happy for the 4 of you were able to get together like that. That is wonderful and Frank, you are right about the warm heart full of love and joy. That is what not only this season is about but life.:hug::hug:'s to you all. |

I wish I lived closer for the GTG..... I would promise not to kiss anyone..hehehee well...my thread was about going to drs tomorrow...check me out..make sure throat isnt strep..and talk to her about mono info....more...in case this could be like a first illness of it....who knows....but feeling awful yet... work was terrible..I was embarrassed to be there, one customer I was about to take their order...and got a coughing fit...I always say..oh wow..I got a tickly in my throat...hoping they wont worry about eating at my place...but how embarrassing..... I covered my shift tomorrow...the working with customer part...I will go in at some point to do some business stuff and crew schedule...but stay on puter and when done get going...I also will call dr in AM to try to get in after work... :Dwe did however decorate the tree...Ciara was excited and Maddie loves the lights...ALL red...you know..."decorations of redddd on a greeennn Christmas treeeee wont be the same without you here with me...Ill have a blueeeee Christmas without youuuuu" well when living out East that song always got to me when I was young and first married...when we didnt get this way for the holidays...my fav color is RED too....so I tended to buy only red lights... Last night as listening to christmas music...I had a good Madeline cry...I was listening to a favorite song... Away in a Manger...and the part, The Cattle are lowly.....got me...reminded me of her and I, our talk in her bed about the cows and how loud and what is the noise they are making...she said they do that when the babies are taken away at times.... so when I heard the cattle are lowly...whatever that means..made me think of our talk....it was a good cry.....I know she is looking over us as Christmas arrives....I got teary as we got out the Christmas stuff...as my tree skirt is one she made..quilted....it was her original one for her tree...few years ago she knew I wanted one...and when she needed a Bigger one..she made a new one for her..and gave me hers....which means even mroe than a newly made one.... We decided to put an angel on top of tree, in honor of Madeline and our baby angel Sabrina....we have a old st. nicholas topper...and also angel..so we went with angel this year.....:o The holidays can be bitter sweet!! But always guys remember the sweet part...as life is always sweet..there is always something to thank God for ...to look forward to..no matter how we feel, any disabilities to slow us down....no matter what....life is sweet!! getting emotional..hehehe hugss to all.. oh by the way...DEBBIE and FRANK...I want to buy one of those trees...how big is it..?? you gotta make me one..and I will buy it...and pay for shipping...hehe are you interested let me know...hugsssss,sarah |

well deb how much you sell them for..and how big are they hehehe
lets see.....I love the green...and would love red lights...like I do my big tree ....hugsss thanks all for the thoughts...heading to bed, the kids and I were sitting up this late in the room with the tree..with the room lights off..and just the lights of the tree on..with christmas music playing....(well sounds peaceful...but then at times Ciara was upset and crying...cause she wanted light on...Maddie so cuttteeee....she saw we have a McDonald fry box with fries ornament...she kept grabbing the box and trying to take a fry out..lol...hehehehe hugss and night all, sarah |
wierd..what happened to Debbies post...I saw it I know I did...it said what color and what color lights and taht she sells them....went back to show daughter the pics of trees...and then forward to show her the post that yes she sells them..and it isnt there....(now that I type this it will be there hehehe) helpp losing it...hehe
|
I am sitting here getting ready to go to bed and I still cannot take my eyes off those light balls. They are so pretty when its dark. I had to take pics for my sister of the trees and light balls. She was saying 'Why didn't we think of that?" lol

LOL TK you obviously missed a post girl! Yes two! Now the super hot sexy guy was the black guy 6'4 and yummy...he's the one I ditched. The one I'm still batting around awhile, is cute too he's about 5'9 ......I must say I do like taller guys but anyway......he's blond and has that all american boy next door look goin and we went to high school together, hung out in the same circles, and went to the same parties....and never met! But he was a year under me and of course I only liked the older boys!! I am a little concerned about his maturity level but we will have to see how that plays out I don't want to jump to any conclusions without giving someone a chance. However super hot sexy guy I am fairly certain is a majuh playa! LOL So as much as it pains me he's history.
Funny story...I pull into my usual starbucks for my morning fix before work yesterday and the cute...way too young for me guy at the window goes WOW you have amazing eyes! Followed by.....how do you do your makeup? Yup I believe he wanted to share makeup tips possibly for his alter ego??? LOL Seriously I am having fun being single although I really do hate the dating thing and I am pretty much the kind of person who I think oh he's nice to look at have one date and I'm like......NEXT!!!!! So.....here's my new wanted sign...... Wanted: Mature, employed, if not employed then financially stable, educated, funny, HONEST, guy who isn't going to turn me into a lampshade, and if you're bangin hot thats a major plus! LOL Warren Sapp? Paging Warren Sapp? |
Warren Sap the football player....if I am not mixing up names...ahhh good choice mmmmm
I like them a bit dark..myself..hehe hubby is peurto rican...so nicely browned...we always joke..cause with ice cream and cake..hubby really only likes vanilla kind and I only like chocolate kinds.....so we joke...as I am white and he is chocolate... anyhow...heading in to work..in street clothes...to just do scheduling..and a few business things....I am still blahhh...but overnt I got to clear my nose a bit more.....maybe coming closer to an end...and maybe just a way bad cold....still thinking of calling the drs though...hmmm anyhow..gotta run, hugsss, sarah |
I think I'm getting a little better...don't feel as "blah" this morning as I have been.
I've read all the posts I've missed over the past day or so....here's a big :grouphug: for everyone. Don't think I quite have the strength right now to comment on everyone....sorry!! Deb & Frank....your trees and ornaments are beautiful! I wish I had some talent to make crafts like that. My Mom could take a stick and make something beautiful out of it. I didn't get that gene....:( I've got to sit down with all my bills and expenses today and try to come up with some sort of workable budget. Thought I had one but apparently I don't. This "fixed income" carp is really hard to get used to...especially after you've been used to earning a certain amount and getting a raise every now and then. I'm not complaining....not by any means 'cos I feel very fortunate to be getting what I am....but it does take some getting used to. I'm trying to calculate how much I need to set aside in order to be able to live on my own in the years to come. My LTD will not last forever. That being said....it's kinda hard to do that when there is nothing left at the end of the month to put away! No matter how I crunch the numbers I still have the same income and the same outgo each month. My other option is to find and marry a millionaire....... Maybe I should start playing the lottery!! We're supposed to get some rain here today, tomorrow and Thursday. We need it....at least it's not as cold as it has been. I was sorta concerned that we'd get ice but it doesn't look like we will. Everyone have a good day...stay warm (or cool depending on where you are) and do something kind for someone else today...it'll make you feel good! :) |
morning kelly:hug: glad you are slowly feeling better, hopefully that will speed itself up
we got rain too its gonna melt our white chrtistmas away, been freezing A%% cold now it warms up melts our snow then its gonna be a high of 14 this weekend:Bang-Head: kelly the trees are really beautiful, those ornaments too, those things are neat my mom has a tree in her back yard she hangs like 6 or 8 of them from it looks really cool |
Mornin' all. Well I'm sure DH spent the night planning different ways to weasel me out of my whole paycheck should I be getting one soon. I told him point blank I would help with bills but that he wasn't getting my entire paycheck. He pretty much told me differently months ago. Now he said last night he just wanted help with one bill and never said anything about taking my whole check but I know him so... Wonder how many ways me getting a job is going to bite me?
Part of my plans for my paycheck will be going back to school online for a certificate in an I- wonder- if- I'm- smart- enough- for- it- field. If that goes well I'll start putting money aside to get a college degree after the divorce. I don't plan to get a job in the wonder field until I get my degree. It will be much cheaper to fail at an online certificate than a brick and mortar college. I won't be able to go after the degree online. Okay. My agenda includes washing away the gray in my mop, housework, and homeschool supervising. Frank and Deb- I can't get the pictures of those trees and lit balls out of my head. I still say... craft bazaars! Hugs all around. Better scoot. |
one step at a time Weave, thats all you can do:hug:
ok cool i just read my weather forecast they totally changed it now we are gonna be warm 35 ish means no snow but no forzen car doors either:yahoo: |
Happy Tuesday people!!!!:)
Kelly.............I am so glad you are feeling better. frank and deb..........love those orbs/balls you made S&J. I think they would look great strung on a porch!!! Sandy........Im glad you all had fun together. good friends are something to treasure!!! Barb.......I hope you get the insurance all figured out!!! Sarah...you should see the doc........there are ways to manage CFS if that is what you have..... Weav........it looks good for the job........hang in there!!! Tricia......like your new avatar pic!!! HIya Vonn, Fin, Kay, NaeNae, DebD, and all!!!!:hug: My Update: Im going in one hour for my volunteer day at my sons school.:) After that a stop at a store and then home for the neverending laundry!!! I hope that everyone has a wonderful day!!!!!!:hug: |
Mornin' everyone!! Raining a lot here in Naperville...my DD up in Stevens Point has a winter storm warning...she was hoping for a snow day...kids in her 8th grade class are a bit antsy...welcome to teaching!! No learning gets done in Dec.
Feeling a bit better this morning...shot my other thigh, and did get a welt, but much smaller. Thanks for all the advice... I don't have a car today, so I guess I should get some homework done...blech... |

Debbie, have you tried injecting in your stomach area? When I was on Copaxone and Beta I used that area and it's amazingly painfree! Could have something to do with all the padding there! I also tried injecting manually - which is no small feat for me as I am the biggest needle weenie around - and it was so easy and much less painful than that aggressive autoinjector. I knew it was going to "pop" yet I still jumped a foot each time...sometimes even withdrawing the needle when I'd jump. I don't use either of those meds any longer but I remember how much easier and how less painful it became once I did it manually (and in the stomach area). Good luck! :) |
make sure the depth setting isnt set too deep, that helps too, i have injected twice without the injector thingy and it was smoother but no way I am a bigger needle weenie kelly lol bak bak bak i went back to injector
|
Good rainy morning all. :rain: It was a little surreal checking the weather last night and having it be warmer at midnight than it was at noon. Wacky weather.
Sitting here planning my day. Today is one for clean, clean, clean. Of course, first step is coffee. ;) Hoping everyone has a great day! :grouphug: ~~~~~~~~ Debbie D, Glad to hear you're feeling better. Glad the advice about C helped a little. It takes time for those site reactions to go down. I never believed it until it started to happen to me. Weave, Renee, I had to laugh at the Starbuck flirt. I have one of those too, but he toned it down since the one time I brought hubby in. My hubby is a short italian (5'9") that looks like a cop, so I think he got skeered. :D Glad things are looking up for ya. Kelly and Sarah, glad to hear you guys are starting to feel better. |
Good morning everyone!
DebbieD - It does get easier with time. I no longer do my thighs as there just isn't enough fat there and I would have terrible reactions. The stomach is my favorite place to shoot. Additionally, like Kelly, I tried the autoinjector and had more reactions than when I did it myself. I manually inject. Warm the area up a bit before shooting and then ice it down after. Someone posted that they shower before doing their shot. I tried it and it works for me. I have been on C for almost 3 years now (3 years this coming March) and have only had 3 bad IPIRs. It does become just ordinary routine and I don't even really think about it anymore. Weave - I had to giggle at your post about the haircoloring. DD18 wanted to dye her hair darker yesterday. She is a dirty blonde and wanted to go brown. She called me from Sally's Beauty Supply yesterday asking about some color - medium brown vs. chestnut. I told her neither as they would be way too dark and since she has light skin it would make her look very pale and sickly. She went with a dark blonde (my natural color) and it worked out great. However, she had me do it and I was not having a good MS day yesterday; lots of tremors, jerking, etc. as well as a little cog fog. Needless to say, I missed a few spots. Thank goodness she has a good sense of humor, doesn't worry too much about her hair, AND it was only a demi permanent color. She now has dark blonde hair with blonde highlighting (not sure how I managed that "mistake" but it looks good) and the tips of her hair are a golden medium blonde. Oh and her chocolate Hersey's kiss (white chocolate w/peppermint) got dyed as a tremor hit and I missed. LOL. She just cracked up about that. Renee - Sorry I missed that post (or maybe I didn't and didn't remember - you know how that goes. LOL) I am glad you are enjoying being single. Have fun with it. Kelly - It is hard to budget on a fixed income. Plus, you only get that once a month. All my bills are paid at the beginning of the month when I get the SSDI check. Sox - Thanks. A couple of years ago DBF and I went on a mini vacation to a small town that he grew up in. The couple that we went with and DBF and I dressed up in all these old fashion clothes and hats and went out bar hopping (hence the Budweiser sign in the back and the color being off). It was a fun, fun night.;) Being that it is now that time of year, I changed it to my winter avatar. Hi everyone else I know I missed. Hope you are doing well today. |
Oh, I know I posted this in the Stumble Inn but thought I would post here as well just in case you didn't see this. Last night we put up our tree and while decorating it, Tux decided to hang out underneath. DD18 took this funny picture of him under the tree.

She's such a cute cat! I cannot get used to calling her a "she", though. :p

Tkrik, Oh what an adorable kitty little Ms Tux is! :D
Renee, I'm glad you're having some fun, you deserve it! DebbieD, I took Copaxone for 18 months and I used to have lots of good tips... :Scratch-Head: I did the shot right after the shower, but I didn't do any icing afterward since it just seemed to make mine get more irritated. I had to adjust the depth of the injector since I was still pretty thin at that time, especially in the arms and legs. The heinie and stomach were my easiest spots. I'd never reinject into another spot until all signs of the last injection were completely healed. I'd move a few inches over. I waited a long time to start manual injecting and wish I'd done it sooner. The site reactions were less and also the pain. It wasn't that hard either since it's a small needle. (I'd started out self-injecting with Avonex and that's an intra-muscular shot.) My update: I was very sick last night, at about 2:30am. I felt like I was going to die, DH was terrified, he kept asking if he should call an ambulance. I had an intestinal reaction to something I ate. If I have an allergy to a food that's what happens, severe illness in the middle of the night. DH was so scared... I ate a half of a pomegranate for a snack yesterday, the first time I'd eaten one... I get the same reaction if I eat shellfish. I haven't been that sick in decades from an allergy... It's a good reminder to me that I don't want to chance eating even just one piece of shrimp... I'm still sick today but working anyway. It isn't anything compared to last night... :yikes: Frank and Deb, You two are very talented. I love those trees! :) |
Sorry you were sick, Wiz. I hope you feel better....and no more pomegranate for you!
