((((Sox))))) Just remember it's not the material things that make you smile as much as the memories.

I just got in from attempting to shovel or snow blow. The ice is at least 3 inches thick on my driveway so it is not happening. I went over to help my neighbor shovel her driveway and we're breaking up the ice pretty good. I am on break as we speak. haha Her son has MD and she is grateful for the help. She mentioned coming to do mine and I said no, Jim gets in the van inside the garage, we're ok. I am buying salt soon to help melt it.

Ok, off to my next shift. lol

Oh boy, Sandy, I thought when you wrote that neighbor's son has MD that he was a doctor...thought, "that doesn't give him any excuse not to help!" then thought about it for a minute...oops.
Sox, sorry you're feeling yucky...hope you feel better soon:hug:
my DH found my stash of cookies I keep for when I need a chocolate fix...left a note on it that read, "Do you really need these?" Uh, yeah, I do. I threw them out and proceeded to eat the fudge I made for xmas...

Jim was approved for the ramp! Whoohoo!

But we feel guilty. We've never taken anything from an organization and yet we feel guilty. Or is it weird? Is this a process of learning to accept from others? Either way, whoohoo!

tamiloo 12-19-2008 04:20 PM

Congrats Sandy and Jim...please don't feel guilty...that's what they are there for is to assist those of us who need it...

CONGRATS,
SANDY & JIM

stop feeling guilty ... it's pennies to what the autodealers are getting or people 'ripping' off their clients (Madoff) ..

INSIGHTS ::

well, I OD'd on cleaning - laundry - garbage - donations .... now I can barely walk - and I'm just a huffing and puffing ... so, I thought I'd check on yous for a tad ..

off to write out my cards, paint, and quilt ... but, I feel SO good that I downsized over 3 boxes of stuff .. the donation boxes are taking over my entryway!!

hope everyone is having a great day!!

Sandy & Jim - That is awesome news!!!! Do not feel guilty as you both deserve this and it is a necessity. I am really happy for you both.

Sox - Big HUGS for you.

Vonn - Whoa there, girl! Get some rest.

Sarah - How dare you do that to me! I just got up from a nap, read your post, and now I'm exhausted again. LOL I hope you got to nap some with the little ones and rested up for your next marathon.:p

DDs and I are getting ready to load up the laundry to bring to DBFs this weekend. I have some projects I want to work on while I am over there too. We have some tie dying to do and I have some painting to finish as well as finish refinishing an old, old nightstand for DD17.

Don't feel guilty!! You deserve this!! :)  I'm so happy for Jim and you too! What a nice Christmas present! :) God bless you both.

Made it to Northbrook and back in near record time today, no problemo. We didn't get as much snow as was predicted, thank goodness. Had my infusion so I'm good to go until after vacation. The neuro told me that the most recent US patient with Tysabri has died. :( I asked him about the others from overseas, if any of them were functioning well and he said no, he didn't think so. He said that PML isn't something you really recover from. I was thinking today that if I have to go off the Ty I'd probably go back to Avonex and the harpoon, lol.

I have my work cut out for me this weekend, cooking and cleaning up tomorrow then our big family gathering on Sunday. I hope the weather isn't too bad for those who travel.

I'm tired so I'll just take it easy today and try to mentally put things together for the next two days, lol. I think I might go take a nap before supper. ;)

I'm over my hurt feelings from yesterday, and if it happens again, I have a quick reply ready. Sometimes if someone sticks a knife through your heart you just don't react quickly enough you know? DH told me I have to just consider the source and try not to let it hurt me too much. He says I have to have a tough hide to be in business. He's right I know, but I also have to have some defenses, and hopefully I will next time and put that person in his place without lowering myself to his level.
