Similar to......there is a risk of death with the anesthesia during any surgery. Was Michael Jackson stupid to take anesthesia to get a good night's sleep ? Yup ! If I need an angioplasty because I am having a heart attack, I'm not going to worry about the risk of anesthesia.
If your daughter needs steroids to breathe because of an exacerbation of CF, she NEEDS them......there really isn't any alternative.

Right, I understand. But I was looking to see if there are any options. Now she has cultured something in her lungs and the medicine to get rid of it costs $4,3000. Can you believe that. This is just 1 of the meds the other 1 is high as well. We got the maufactureer to chop it down to $500 for us. My wife's insurance would not pay. It is frustrating sometimes. I hope Mr. Obama's health care plan helps.
