Most of us feel that way...it's our mother's fault for nurturing us so well...not really...we're just a bunch of spoiled babies...at least I am

I dont have that same air of entitlement that my sister has. I have always had a good work ethic, and never felt right about having stuff, unless I worked for it.

My sister feels that money/cigarettes/healtcare/dentalcare/oil for her house/ her house/ food/ blankets/ child care/ and the rest all should simply fall from the sky, and land in a big pile in her living room. She actually gets offended if the state doesnt offer her free programs.

We were raised by the same mom, at the same time, in the same house...how did two girls two out so different?

My sis and I are similar to you and yours, Dej...I was lucky to marry a man who has a strong ethical streak...but I also had my mom's mantra playing in my head,"Don't do anything that would make me ashamed of you."
My sis knew how to play the system well...now that she can't work anymore, she is poor as a goat and just cries so much about not having anything...before, she was making mucho bucks as a nurse (albeit lots of overtime)...then after a major heart attack she cleaned out her 401 paying for meds, etc.
My DH and I try to send her money occasionally, but she is so ashamed that she takes help from her little sis...but isn't that what fams are for? She'd do the same for us if it were reversed, I know...

I am wondering why the dogs and DD are afraid of me going to the bathroom, they all line up outside of the door to make sure I make it out safely. After I lock them all out of course

Ever have one of those days where everything sounds like lyrics to a country music song?

Didn't think so. *sigh*
