Thought I'd start a "pity party" thread so we'd have a specific place to post our gripes and whines. By no means is this to suggest that we can't moan and groan on other threads, too!

My whine is this. Several girls I used to work with are meeting for lunch at The Olive Garden today. One of them called me to see if I wanted to join them. I would......but I don't have a car. And......I'm trying very hard to stick to my bare bones budget at least until we see if we get our checks the beginning of August. And last but not least.......I don't do well with last minute plans. At least not now. Even if I did have the $$ and a way to get there I need at least a days advance notice. I can't just pick up and go at the drop of a hat like I used to. But.....I'm so thrilled they thought of me.

Just to keep with the theme of the thread......it's HOT and I wanna piece of watermelon but DS ate the last of it last night.

It's so hot that I have had to change clothes 3 times already today and it is not even 2:00. Darn doctors forced me to leave my house today.

How about this one.... the other day I took the kids to see a friend of mine and hang out at the pool. We ended up staying until almost 9:00 before the hour long drive home. My friend lives close to my mom who got off work at 8:00. She calls me on my way home to get mad at me because I didn't stop in at her house. Mom doesn't get that the heat is kicking my butt, I have 2 kids, and I really really just wanted to go home and take my pain pills and get some sleep before picture day the next day.

Then she calls the next day while I am enjoying a much needed nap after we had 122 pictures taken with the kids and gets her feelings hurt because I was not in the mood to talk.

But on a positive note, the pictures came out great. I called and apologized to my mother this morning and explained things to her so she gets it. It just annoys me.

found out the nasty secretary at the church (who I didnt know didnt like me) went behind my back and sent the church computers out to a PAID service to be fixed! I have fixed their crappy computers for 5 to 6 years FOR FREE! night or day, rain or shine, I have fixed everything they have broken and then some, only to turn and find out that they dont like me?! well, I turned in my resignation. If I wanted to be pooped on, I could call my family! I am no longer wasting what sight I have left, nor my energy time, or expense fixing their stuff. NAH!

DH had a colonoscopy last week and has had a tummy ache since. now I have been suffering with gastroparesis for years, and can really tell you what a tummy ache is, but this has become a grinding stone for him. He lays on the couch and tells me that it feels better, then worse, then better. I WANT to comfort him, but I also want to tell him to GET UP! its gas! and you are a 'bit' constipated from the procedure. Take some miralax and lets get on with the work that needs to be done. I love that man, but he can whine up a storm.

I will end on a happy note. Jack the cat hasnt needed a shot in 10 days! and we go on vacation next Tuesday! Ben and JErry's ice cream factory! yum!

Jeesh your body just won't give you a break

I don't want to deal with my ailing in laws anymore. There. I said it. Or at least wrote it... I'm tired of FIL telling me he's "mad he woke up and why won't god take him?" I'm tired of watching my MIL decline daily, and either crying about it and needing a hug, or snapping everyone's head off. I'm tired of what's going to happen next with them...I'm tired of worrying every time the phone rings. I'm tired of the increased arguments with DH over our disagreement about whether or not to move them to assisted living.

In short, I'm tired of this situation taking over our lives. I love them both, but it's wearing me down no matter how much I meditate, drink, sleep, etc.
