OK, I'll officailly spill the beans. David won!!!!!!! I was very disappointed in Carrie Underwood. I didn't like her song and she forgot to put on anything underneath that short coat she wore. I swear there were times as she was moving across stage that you could see her undies. I remember her at Idol gives back. She was wearing that beautiful long dress and singing a beautiful song. Now she sings about getting drunk and waking up and not knowing her last name! My favorite was still Michael Johns and his singing tonight proved why he should have won it.

although boys guys were excellent singers, only one had the maturity to handle the schedule of being AI. Unfortunaltey both of them will probably have the same kind of schedule. Have you figured oout who won it yet?

On AI, I'm absolutely thrilled with the winner. My guy won! YAY! I can't wait for his CD. Kay (FFM) are you still jumping up and down and cheering? Me too.

Don't ya all forget, So you think You Can Dance starts on Thursday (2 hours). It's not Survivor, but should get us through the early summer just fine.

Hey Beth~ How did you like Simon's apology to David Cook?? DC won by a landslide. I think David A has an amazing voice, but would like to see him mature also. His Dad is so controlling, wonder if the kid got yelled at for not winning! Great show last night and loved to see veteren performers sing. Graham Nash, ZZ Top, Donna Summer, George Michael....

Yes, I did see the apology. He also said it on TV Guide Channel interview that it wasn't as clearcut watching it on TV. Twelve million vote difference is huge. I'm very happy today. BTW, you'll have to stand in line behind me for the CD, I was here first. :D

I thought you may like to know that Former Idol contestant, Luke Menard, was recently diagnosed with Stage 2 -- Hodgkins Lymphoma. Prognosis is good and Luke is reported to be with his family and in good spirits.

Read on the Idol message board that David A also was signed to a record label today. Oh, apparently itunes has a song with Michael Johns as the lead singer. I don't have an I Pod or MP3 player so I don't know anything about itunes.

Enjoyed the auditions of SYTYCD tonight. I think the first one they showed was this (he thought) Italian Stallion. So he gets up and does his thing and they are critqueing him and Mia Michaels says she doesn't think he will be very succsexful! Purely a slip of the tongue but she was quite embarresed. He was doing quite a sexy dance.

I am done watching all the season finales that I had on my DVR. TV looks like slim pickins now. I hope I can find some good movies. I had never watched
onk so I am enjoying watching that show. Maybe I need to check out Psych. I reallly don't like the 1/2 hour sitcoms. They all just seem to be about sex inn one way or another. All my regular shows seem to be the one hour crime dramas. Better watch out guys.

Have you watched Burn Notice on USA. It was on last summer and they are rerunning the series now. The new season starts this summer, I haven't seen a date for that yet.

It's an hour drama-dy, about a cute spy who gets burned, and dropped in his home town, accounts frozen, exgirlfriend who loves guns, wacky mom (Sharon Gless-from Cagney and Lacey). Lots of humor, but they always solve the crime and get the bad guy.

I've never seen Burn notice. But I have been watching USA a lot lately and that will probably be my station of choice for the summer since they seem to have new shows. I think I'm going to like the other new one about the wittness protection program. Name escapes me! Of course I alsways like all the Law and Order.

My TV guide said that SYTYCD was on tonight so I had it on and was DVRing American gladiator. My husband will watch SYTYCD with me. I think it's mainly cause he knows some of the ladies aren't wearing much. So we immediately see it's a rerun! Bummer. So I not only lose my husband to the family room where he can channel surf on the 51 inch TV but I also lose a nightof SYTYCD.

So I turned it over to American Gladiator. I don't know what some of these people enter this competition with these false hopes. One of them said tonight she didn't realize the pyramid was so big. it doens't look that big on her TV!!!! I could really see the girl that won tonight as a Gladiator. They even had a name for her 'Flame'. She has the best time for the ladies so far. As far as the guys went, one was a regular Joe and the other was a guy that was born deaf and had a cochlear implant. So he can hear now, I don't know how much. He had a mission to win and did it. I don't know anything about the implant but I know his head took a beating tonight. Of course he had the big helmet on. He got my respect.

After AG was over I turned it over to Style network and watched the last half hour of Clean House. Have they got a new host?

Well I have another of my PUVA light treatments tomorrow and then see the dermotologist on Wednesday for the first time since starting the light therapy.

I watched HK tonight, and they are now down to the final 6. I think next week they meet with last years winner, Rock, in vegas baby.

SYTYCD is on on Wed and Thurs this week. They will be doing auditions for a while, llike AI.

There has to be more reality somewhere, anyone know? I'm suffered w/d. :eek:

I'm glad I'm not so addicted to the TV b/c of the summer reruns, but they took everything away at once. Don't they know that they should WEAN us off our shows SLOWLY????? :D:D

TV Land is even going to venture into the reality world. It's kind of like America's next top model only it's for 'older' women who actually have some meat on their bones. I thiink with the amount of meat I have that I would be disqualified!

Anyone else watching Farmer takes a wife? It actually got a fairly good review in next weeks TV Guide. I forgot it was on tonight but came to my senses after only 10 minuttes had gone by so I have it on the DVR.

I hope their are some good movies on TV before all the shows start back up again. Today i watched Andromeda strain. I was so engrossed I even missed Wheel of fortune.

I watched FTAW tonight, there were 2 episodes. Because like Sally said:
I watched Andromedia Strain Mon/Tues nights. It was pretty good, except the end, they crammed the conclusion into the last 5 minutes. I wish the last hour was shorter, and the last 5 minutes longer. Like football. I love football (american). My Dad said it's a remake. When was the 1st one done?

Andromedia Strain was originally written by Michael Crighton (Jurasic Park) and the movie was in 1971. I didn't like the first movie...this one was better.:)

Only one more night of auditions for SYTYCD, then we're off to Las Vegas!!!!!!! Some of it I agree with and some I don't see at all.

Daisymay, I haven't left. I just haven't watched any reality shows in a couple of days. Only new show I watched was on USA 'In plain sight'. I'm not sure it's for me. It's about US Marshalls that handle people in the witness protection program. So it's got a lot of mob characters that have testified against another mob guy. I can't keep up with that kind of mob family stuff. You have to rememerb to many names. Plus it was pretty racy at times if you know what I mean.

I did have one dissapointment about a reality show. My oldest daughter could sure benifit from a makeover from the 'Mobile home disaster' on CMT. I went to their web site and you have to live in California.

The Next Food Network Star and the HGTV Decorator Search shows start this week/weekend, or was it last weekend? Anyway Dad missed NFNS and it repeats on Thursday nite so he's recording it.

The new Nashville Star on NBC starts Sunday, the host is Billy Ray Cyrus :(, but Jewel is a judge :). I'm not a big country fan, but the pickins are slim.

Is there going to be a Big Brother this Summer, has anyone heard? It usually starts around the 4th of July.

I love HK, and I'm so glad they got rid of Matt, the whiner with the ugliest facial expressions IMHO.

Design Star starts this Sunday eve and Nashville Star next week. I'm not a fan of Billy Rae, I wish he would look his age but I think I willl enjoy the show. I don't think it has ever been on a non cable network before.

I started a new 'reality show' last night. It's on, oh I forget which cable network it's on. Anyway it's called '30 days'. This guy last night lived 30 days as a coal miner. Of course he had to take 80 hours of training in order to be let in the mines. Next week an NFL star lives 30 days in a wh/ch. I don't think it's supposed to be an entertaining type reality show but one to give us more insight into how others live.

I have two shows on my DVR right now and I'll watch them tomorrow unless I can't asleep tonight then they will act like my sleeping pill for me. First 'Farmer takes a wife' then a new one on TV Land about normal every day women of a 'mature age' who compete in a model search. Our electricity went out tonight for about 80 minutes so it didn't record all of Farmer takes a wife. I'm sure I didn't miss much except Matt riding on his tractor with his shirt off.

Electricity being off also made me miss a good part of SYTYCD auditions. Tomorrow starts the Vegas round and tomorrow night it will be narrowed down to the final 20 people. I hear there were some good dancers on tonight (that I missed).

I love 30 days! The show that started it was his movie 30 days. He ate nothing but McDonalds for 30 days. It was a rule that he MUST supersize his meal if they asked him. His blood work went very haywire, and the diet was almost halted because he was getting sick from eating nothing but McDonalds for 30 days. His girlfriend is a vegan chef, and was freaking out.

it spun into a series of 30 day snippets. Living 30 days wilth illegal aliens, and 30 days as a poor family, 30 days with a muslin family. its been facinating to watch him. Morgan Spurlock has done a great job at it.

Well I finally watched Farmer takes a wife. Those poor girls. I don't think some of them have ever been in a kitchen unless it is to put something in the microwave. They had to bake an apple pie. I like Amamnda, I'm rooting for her.

So SYTYCD finalized it's top 20 tonight. I'm not sure I agree with all of them but they don't pay me to agree with them. I know they have to have dancers from a lot of different genre and some of those I don't like, like hip hop and B-dance. What I do admire is those hip hoppers that can also master the contempory and ballroom. So it makes it all right!!!! I'm looking forward to next weeks start of the competition.

AP had an article about Jeff Probst and he said that they are having some production problems for the new Survivor season. They are about a month behind.

I'm not very talkative tonight. I'm having more than average amount of neuropathy pain in my legs. Last night I took an extra Amityptaline (sp?) and cancellled my phototherapy for today. I just couldn't even think about going out in the heat and standing buck naked in that hot box while my legs felt on fire to begin with.

So sorry, Doydie. I hate the heat too...It makes me feel like a piece of grilled hamburger. Feel Better..:hug:

I just rememberd the other show I had on my DVR and watched. I just can't remember the name of it. It was about everyday women over 35 going through a competition to be a model. It was amazing what some of those women look like. There is one that is 63. I guess next week they will go more into what kind of living quarters they will have. I hope they don't have the petty arguements like on Americas next top model.

I am excited. Thank goodness I never thought of myself as an intellectual because I would be "out-ing" myself with all the reality contest shows.

Oh yeah, then there is SYTYCD and the talent show with David Hasselhoff.

I hated that show until the ventriloquist. How I would love to go to Las Vegas and see him perform. I live only about five hours away, so tempting.

Nashville Star is on right now and I think I'm going to like it.
