1. As a child I was a very outgoing social girl - the life of the party, always making everyone laugh kind of person. As an adult, I am very timid and reserved until I get to know a person. I guess wisdom set in. Phew!:D However, there are people that immediately make me feel comfortable and bring out the best in me. Our Twinks is one of those people. I have often been misjudged as being a stuck up, bit**, rich girl yet once one gets to know me they find the opposite is true. 2. I too come from a large family, 10 kids. But most of you know that already. 3. I am a terrible bowler. But I once found out that the more beers I drank the better a bowler I became. Not sure how that happened. LOL 4. One of my favorite places that I have ever been to was a monastery in MO. As a family we stayed there a few times in the guest house. One time was Holy Week and it was the most amazing, spiritual experiences I have ever had. I was only 9 and still vividly remember it all. 5. I love to work with my hands - getting them right in that soil, feeling it and smelling it, working with wood and metal, painting, clay etc. |

I have to laugh...my dad has a diary that he kept when he was a kid, and when my grandparents would take him to Cedar Rapids to visit relatives, he thought it was "See the Rabbits" and in the diary he wonders where all the rabbits are, said he didnt see any the whole time he was there. |
Keep 'em coming, this is wonderful. Maybe someday they will analyze all these things and decide what causes MS!!!!

OMG, DM is from Fargo??!!?? Did I know that already??!!??
1) I was born in Fargo, St Luke's Hospital, which my father helped build. 2) I'm a kindergarten drop-out..We moved to Colorado Springs in April of my kindergarten year, so I never "graduated"..They let me in first grade next school year anyway, though.. 3) I was always the shy, quiet type when I was a kid, so people were shocked when I became a radio dj..Did that from age 19 to 30.. 4) Klaus Miene (Scorpions) sang "No One Like You" to me in German. The English version is much nicer :D.. 5) I adopted my daughter as a single parent when I was 23, got married and gave birth to my youngest (SupraKid) when I was 30 & 31 respectively (though if it wasn't for the miracle of C-Section, I'd still be pregnant).. I've had a wierd and wonderful life so far..It's fun reading about everyone else! |

***squeeeeeeee!!!!!*** I LOVE the Scorpions!!! I only have one of their cd's tho. I always have to listen to the Scorpion very loudly. I dont do that with a lot of music (well, maybe when listening to Twilight Zone by Golden Earring. That song MUST be played LOUD!) I just cant do that very often because usually when I'm driving, I've got a parent in the car, and they get all twitchy about the music being loud. My mom especially, since I keep making her turn her tv down at home (it just goes right to my brain and makes my body hurt to hear her tv blasting, especially when it's a "reality show".) But, in the car, I dont mind having something like the Scorpions on near full blast. I never have gotten to see them in concert. cool fact about me, later this summer, I'm going to go see Larry The Cable Guy in Lincoln, Nebraska on the Fourth of July. He's apparently trying to set a record for the number of people at a comedy concert. (Memorial Stadium where the Cornhuskers play seats something like 50,000 people) It's going to be filmed for cable. I'm excited! Getting a hotel room. Boyfriend is buying the tickets tomorrow (amazingly cheap...$6 per ticket!!!) |
They're one of my favorite bands, too..Crank up "The Zoo" or "Rock You Like A Hurricane", feel better the rest of the day :D..Enjoy the Cable Guy..$6 is an incredible price for a ticket. Barely get in to see a movie for that anymore!

Let's see...
I won the elementary school spelling bee for 2nd graders by correctly spelling 'janitor'. I had seen it on the closet door and remembered how to spell it. I was a fledgling pyrotechnician in Junior High. I loved to make my own fireworks and blow stuff up! When I left home for the Navy, my mom had to call the bomb squad to safely remove all the chemicals I left behind. I made it to the '100,000 mile club' with my old Harley-Davidson by racking up 100K miles in less than 4 years. Got a card for my wallet and a neat little pin for my vest from the factory. I landed on an aircraft carrier as a passenger on a military flight to Manila. That was better than any roller coaster ride! I survived six years in the military during the Vietnam era. |
I just stumbled in to the Stumble Inn-but I already feel Like I know you all bc of this thread.
1. I think animals are life's greatest blessings. And our greatest resposibility. 2. I play accordian, guitar and a smattering of piano and organ. 3. I have been married 38 years and am still madly in love with my husband. 4. I see everything through artist eyes. I take mental snapshots of things I see and paint them later; usually just in my mind, though. 5. Just like all of your parents-I have limited experience-I have only had sex once-all the rest of my kids were adopted. |
