1. I lived in 52 places by the time I was 6 years old because my parents had race horses. 2. I'm one of 10 siblings to a father that was a decent provider but thought children were a burden. 3. I value animal's lives as much as human's. 4. I originally quit college because I made so much money working as a cocktail waitress....went back after being diagnosed with MS. Did work as a pitch man in between at fairs across the country back when the guy from the Oxyclean commercials was known as my booth neighbor "Bucket Billy". 5. My DH was in a punk band during the 80s and we still get small royalties from their album, ok so thats his kudos not mine. Tee hee, I didn't even like punk music hard rock/heavy metal was more my bag. :D |

I kissed Eric Burden from the Animals. 5. I got to sit in Janis Joplin's car before they took it to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame--it was great!! |
Oh, I just realized I forgot one...
I'm missing the fingernail on my left index finger. Well, it's not totally missing, but it doesnt look normal. It looks like two little bits of fingernail. Completely separated from each other. It's a genetic birth defect. Never had a normal nail there. I've got a couple of 2nd cousins with the same thing, but they're both missing most of the fingernails on both their hands. (my 1st cousin's kids) It's apparently a birth defect from my dad's side of the family. I'm also missing the toenail on my left "index" toe, but that's only been missing since late January of this year, and I had put out a "hit" on it. I had the foot doctor take it off, since I didnt want to take months of medication to treat a nail fungus.. (plus, I wanted to keep my liver healthy) I think my left index toenail might have had a similar problem to the index finger, because it had always been shaped weird, and was growing kind of sideways, maybe more of a catty corner diagonal direction (my dad's sister's left index fingernail grows completely sideways too) |
You win, Erin...LOL... you and your Family are deffinately the Unique-est!!!:D

i'm sticking a comment in here. hope you all don't mind too much.
i read a couple of people's descriptions of themselves and it had to do with shyness. i can relate. i was very shy as a kid. i always got teased about my weight and can still be uncomfortable in a social situation. however, i've learned one important thing that may help. and that is...people love to talk about themselves. just ask a few Q's and be a good listener. folks will love you and not even know why. :D |

I thought I was the only one in my family with the weird fingernail. I didnt even know my aunt's was growing sideways until I learned what caused my fingernail defect. And then several years later my cousin started having kids and I was surprised when they told me the kids were being born with missing fingernails. It's weird. I had to go thru a lot of teasing in school because of it. Kids are mean! I hope my cousin's kids dont have the same problem. (they probably will, because they have more fingers involved with it) |
WOW, you all are interesting.
Let's see~~~~~ I was born 2 months premature in Fargo, ND and no, I do not have a Fargo hat, but AMN does. (true) I was also born w/2 teeth. :p I am a huge dog lover and can't bear to watch any type of animal cruelty. Won't even watch when DH has documentaries etc on, that show lions, etc catching their prey. Animal suffering really bothers me. My DS and I were in the living related donor program almost 15 years ago and he has my L kidney. I keep telling him he's in menopause now. :D I am very sentimental and nostalgic. Love to reminisce about the good ole days. AYUP, I'm a BOOMER and last night watched a Billy Jack movie that I found on TV. I cry pretty easy, ever since my Mother passed away. Heck, I can even cry at a commercial, esp the Humane Soc ones. :( |
This is pretty cool. Here are my 5...
