Default I brought my computer with me to my infusion

So I'm sitting here, waiting for my solumedrol. I got here really early. (there's an interesting and annoying story about the moron cab driver that drove me here. I got a free cab ride )

The nurse saw me in the waiting room so she brought me back into the room early, which is really nice because there were a lot of people in the waiting room, now I'm in a nice quiet area, playing Stargate dvd's on my laptop.

I didnt even bother changing clothes this morning. I couldnt get my bra on this morning. (cant reach around to put it on) so I just came in my jammies. I figured if I'm sitting around all day, then I might as well be comfortable. I wish I'd remembered to put on deoderant tho.

Just got my drugs. (it's noon now) I just checked the bag. It's in dextrose this time. (it was glucose yesterday for some reason...? I know it was glucose yesterday because my dad saw the bag and confirmed it for me)

I just cant wait for the end of the bag. It's boring here. I cant wait till whatever did the diplopia in my eyes heals. (that's boring and annoying too)

I'll probably post more in this thread later today when I get bored again. I'm going to go watch Stargate on my laptop now.

(if this doesnt belong in the Stumble Inn...the mods can move it)

Hope your treatment is going okay for you!

When my husband was having to get weekly treatments, they would take most of the day. There were several who brought in there laptops or dvd players. Good idea!!!

Hopefully time will go quickly for you. Take Care!

I have cinnamon Altoids. They're "curiously strong"!

I discovered that garlic bread kills the taste of the steroids for me.

So for lunch, I got 3 pieces of garlic bread, some chocolate cake, and some root beer.

Sounds like a weird lunch, but it's pretty good. I should have asked for some caesar dressing to dip the bread into. (I had a caesar salad yesterday with my garlic bread, the dressing tasty with the garlic bread.) Maybe I'll do that tomorrow.

Right now I'm watching "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (Shakespeare play) on dvd. I'm still bored. I may have to watch more Stargate instead.

There's a little girl that keeps coming into the room I'm in. She's sneaking snacks from the refrigerator. I can see her Croc shoed feet under the curtain. I guess her grandmother is in here somewhere. I guess the room I'm in is where the nurse keeps all the snacks and the kid saw the nurse getting something for someone earlier.. There's a locked drug cabinet in here too. (on the other side of my curtain)

infusion is done! But there was a little left over, and my dad isnt going to be here for another hour, so I'm getting the leftovers now.

Didnt take as long as today, and I think they even had it set to run slower.

I have a b!tch of a headache, and I'm really sleepy. (didnt sleep much last night, and I get headaches when I dont get enough sleep)

I think it worked a little. The double vision that I had when looking to the right SINCE 2007 seems to have gone away.

I would really like the newer double vision to go away too. It doesnt seem to be as horrible as it had been the past few days, but it's still there. Maybe the bag-o-steroid-juice that I get tomorrow will do the other side.

At least now I can sort of tell there was an improvement. Yaaaaaay!!!!!!

I'm bored again, and sleepy...and I want my headache to go away.

On the plus side, the garlic toast I had for lunch (3 pieces!) is doing a great job of keeping that nasty flavor of solumedrol from making me gag, and the chocolate cake I had for dessert was tasty and didnt taste like solumedrol.
