have fun at Yosemite!! I'm jealous!
I haven't been around much, but i've been kinda busy. We were going to move to a house, so we put our condo on the market. thankfully, it sold right away. Last week tho, I was offered a job in Nashville. Soooo now, instead of moving to the 'burbs, we're looking in nashville. and, we are out of the condo in 2.5 days. a "little" busy.

Dabbo I'm sure you must be busy. Moving is a real hassle, espcially when you are under a time limit. Good Luck!
I am doing the typically tax stuff that we all dread. My daughter, has decided on going to LIM in the fall so now it is all the paperwork and financial information. I really didn't want her inNYC but she will be only1 1/2 to 2 hour trip door to door. This is going to be sooo hard for me. I can't imagine her not being here! And my youngest goes to Kindergarten. What adjustments. Hope everyone has a great weekend! Linda |

Hi everyone! I've been quite busy too. Things are slowing down here in the mountains and ski season will be wrapping up soon, despite the fact that there is plenty of snow still and more to come tonight - about a foot they say...
This weekend Im headed to Moab, Utah (it is so beautiful there!) for our annual spring break mountain bike trip. Im getting excited and hope that my arm/shoulder holds up! |

Today I went to the hospital to visit Dad. He was admitted on the 29th of Feb, with pleural effusion. Had a vats procedure done, developed infection, and a blood clot in his lung. These complications resulted in a fight to survive. He still has a chest tube in, with never ending drainage.Antibiotics on going. I go to the hospital almost every day. All these complications and no diagnosis for the fluid. He is able to breathe now without oxygen, but any exerion leaves him breathless. My Mom is disabled so I help her through the day and in the afternoon I visit Dad. Monday when I woke up my hand was swollen and red. I always have burning and some swelling but this is one uguly looking hand. Still waiting for a wc decision from my appeal hearing. Life is rough but love and God must keep me going, because I'm exhausted!! So hello to everyone it's been awhile. May pain levels be low, and life full.

hairdresser- i'm sorry to hear about your dad. That must be so stressful. I hope and pray that they find what is causing the fluid. I hope your WC appeal goes well.
Mark- its good to hear from you!! The other day I had a tension release massage or something like that. It was pretty much a lymphatic massage. WOW! it felt great. my arm felt so much lighter and looser for a little while.

Aww sorry to hear about your dad hun , the stress sure won't be helping you at all.As for WC ,don't give up!! Hubby had a spinal injury at work in 1994, we fought for 9 long, poverty stricken years and finally got a settlement in 2003. It paid the 9 yrs of debt and now he recieves monthly, less than what he made back in 1994. But at least its something.
Pleural effusion is what happened to me after my tos surgery. I was sent home from emergency twice after being told my laboured agonizing breathing was just form my surgery grr. 2 days later i was rushed in , and they put in a chest tube and drained 2 and half litres out of my chest, my lung had collapsed form all the fluid. I have never fully recovered from it and its been 15 months.Tell your dad to keep demanding they find the reason, so they don't just drain it and send him home. I feel for him, that chest tube caused me more agony than the surgery itself and it caused alot of nerve pain on the edge of my rib cage. Istill have terrible pain and swelling there everyday.I will keep you and your dad in my prayers hun. We just got thru 6 weeks of radiation with my dad. He just finished 2 days before Easter. He had a tumour behind his tonsil,so the radiation has burnt him alot, he's doing well as far as the doctors are concerned, but it sure has been rough on him.Its been very hard to see him so sick. His treatment was 100 miles away,so he had to stay there all week and came home on weekends. We tried to go for a visit every week while he was there but the travel was very hard on me and I had another surgery the week he started, so its been a rough time. But as everyone here knows, a rough time has become the norm for most of us.Im thankful the 6 weks are over,he still has a long road ahead of him so now we are just praying that it worked. well i needed to stop typing 20minutes ago so i guess i better stop. hugs and prayers for all of you, take care ,cindy |
