bobby, I noticed that you mentioned that you "lost" 4 pounds over night....that is water fluid loss, are you short of breath? are you taking a fluid pill? or a blood pressure pill?
It sounds like you have a fluid imbalance.....
what did your cardiologist say?

i took a detox pill and i will take it for ten days. it is supposed to have dramatic results.

Myra wrote me later in the day and signed her email love. that made me feel much better. i still couldn't sleep. i don't know if i was feeling fear or panic. during the day i was saying was the point in living.

thanks so very much. i guess i am really worried too. this weekend was another nightmare. I just found out that i will have the stress test and echocardiogram on friday morning.
i spent some time looking up teacup schnauzers on the internet in the new yor area. I don't know if my building would allow me to get one even if my general doctor and psychiatrist wrote that i needed one

Do you think the detox program is alright to do at this time? did you tell the cardiologist that you were going to do it?

i didn't know i was going to do it. the cardiologist is more to find out if something is wrong with my heart.......he would tell me to talk to my gp

with rapid fluid shifts you could become dehydrated and possibly have a lower blood pressure and get dizzy.....

i am concerned about this detox thing. here is why:

"detox" agents, herbal or synthetic no matter, can have a variety of effects which be unsafe for you. some may raise blood sugar, for instance, which would be a baaad thing. but another thing which could be quite problematic, is that some actually induce liver enzymes... basically speed up the metabolic pathways that process and eliminate toxins. (significant enzyme induction can occur in only 3-4 days.) unfortunately, those same pathways can be involved metabolizing certain meds... thus lowering the plasma levels of those meds. in brief... i wouldn't want for your detox pills to be kicking your meds out of your system, and it is a real possibility.

would you consult with a pharmacist before continuing this detox? please?

you would need to tell him the detox product information as well as a list of all your meds and any other supplements and herbs you take. i would advise against continuing this detox unless/until the pharmacist (or a doctor) can assure you that the product does not interfere with your meds. if the pharmacist (or doc) says they don't know whether there is an interaction, it would really be safer for you not to take the stuff. it would also be prudent to specify your health conditions and ask if there are contraindications in light of those.

finally, as bizi said, should you continue it... it is essential you drink extra water... at least 8 glasses a day, 8oz's each... and spread out, not all together. this is to avoid not only dehydration, but a potential build up of toxins/byproducts in the blood or organ tissues as they get eliminated.
