I see another tropical storm between Western Africa, and the Eastern coast land, and Island areas. You can see this other storm in the "Intellicast-Atlantic Satellite in the U.S. BF:hug::hug::hug:

I guess parts of Indiana got some rain today.

I am not in that part.

But that doesn't mean it wont come later.

models

Hi, Bizi,

Yes, the models are odd this time.

I am hoping that it stays weak.

The storm covers a large area. We are still getting rain and will throughout Monday.

Dear Bizi,

It might not matter exactly where the storm hits because it is huge.
A large area across several Gulf states might get rain, floods, wind, and tornadoes.
(Right now the storm is raining on the Bahamas, Cuba, the Florida Keys, Orlando, and Tampa.)

I am still hoping that the storm remains weak. :circlelove:

That other storm looks like it's disappearing in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. The storm was large about a day ago,but not anymore. It may break down.
BF:hug::hug::hug:

Mari 08-27-2012 11:34 AM

We could use a break.

Isaac is pounding us with thunder, rain, and wind.
We are under a flood watch --- not like am I going out on the roods or anything.
I am feeling discouraged.

7 year anniversary of Katrina September 29

Hi,

The politlcal ramifications are huge for Isaac hitting New Orleans 6 years to the date that Katrina hit and doing so while the convention is being televised.
Strange stuff.
Some web sites are calling this storm "Hurricane Karma."

Dear Bizi,

Stay safe. I pray for the people on the Gulf Coast.

Mari 08-28-2012 12:06 AM

I send good thoughts to people in affected areas

Hi,

I hope people evacuated.
There is potential for a huge storm surge because the storm is 400 miles in diameter.

M

Brokenfriend 08-29-2012 02:25 PM

The storm may flush out some oil sediment left over from the BP oil spill from a couple of years ago.

It would be a good idea to be careful to drink bottled water, and to be careful to not eat seafood from the area until the oil settles down.

This may be a good thing, because it will cause more of the oil to be exposed, and it will break down. This may cause the oil to further decompose, which can cause purification of the coast lines, and water canals, and rivers. Oxidation may break down more contamination, and toxins from of the oil sediments, and treatments that where in question.

These are just some of my thoughts. BF:hug::hug::hug:

Thank you Mari. This storm could be washing, cleansing, breaking down...washing,cleansing...breaking down toxins...washing,cleansing,and breaking down...and making room for an abundance of life to retake the areas, and complex life to be fruitful, and multiply. BF:hug::hug::hug:

Autumnal Equinox

Hi,

Today is the first day of Autumn -- days and nights are more or less the same length. I am missing the summer.

Full moon after sunset today / Saturday

The harvest moon is on the rise.

For three days in row starting Saturday, a full moon will rise just after sunset, creating an unusual amount of evening light. Long before tractors with headlights, the harvest moon helped farmers work late into the night to collect their early-autumn crops and prevent them from rotting.
The moon was gorgeous tonight (Friday).
I want to remember to go outside on Saturday night as well.

Rain.

I really hate the sound of rain on my roof.
Rain all day Monday.

Rain expected Tuesday and Wednesday.

Brokenfriend 10-02-2012 01:32 AM

Hi Mari 80% chance of rain here on Tuesday also. No droughts around here. I'm sorry that they had droughts in the West. BF:hug::hug::hug:

Brokenfriend 10-02-2012 10:34 PM

We have Fog,and it's very humid here on Tuesday night. BF:hug::hug::hug:

Mari 10-03-2012 12:21 AM

Hi,

Steve, we have high humidity tonight and tomorrow as well.

I checked the weather people and saw that we are way over our average rainfall for the year.
I was happy to see that because that explains why I am noticing a lot of rain --- it is not in my head --- We Really Are Getting A Lot Of Rain.

M

Brokenfriend 10-03-2012 01:48 AM

Hey Mari.

We had thunderstorms several days ago. It rained, and rained last week. There is a slight chance of showers on Wednesday, and a temp. of 85 degrees possible. It's warming up. The humidity is 72%. BF:hug::hug::hug:

Brokenfriend 10-04-2012 12:31 AM

It was a humid day,and the temperature got above 80 degrees.

The stink bugs attacked. Several got through the door at some point when I opened the door. I flushed at least 3 down the toilet, and lightly threw another one on the ground outside. I only had a few problems with them this summer.
Fog,humidity, and then a warm day in the Fall seems to have activated them. I hate stink bugs.

I must have washed my hands twenty times even though I mostly picked them up with paper towels. The one that I got on the outside was lightly picked up,and dropped it to the ground. That one got me anyway.

They stand like a small tank, and run faster then most beetles. They fly to. BF:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

I think my hubby got bitten by one when we first moved to louisiana...I think.
I don't like bugs in my house! WE have terribly big cock roaches that magically appear and then the lizards sneak under the doors, cats find them and eat them yuck!

One amazing thing about living way out in the country is that we don't have cock roaches out here. I've seen 1 roach in 8 years. When I lived in the capital city of my state,we had roaches everywhere. We also had rats. I HATE ROACHES. I HATE RATS also. I use to deal with those type of problems at a Supermarket where I use to work. BF:hug::hug::hug:

Mari 10-04-2012 06:01 PM

Dear Steve,

I have probably seen a stink bug --- and I looked up pictures of them --- but (and thank goodness) they are not pests that we are dealing with.

M

Dmom3005 10-04-2012 07:20 PM

He decided to wait till the weekend.

Hoping the weather is good for that.

Hi Mari The stink bug phenomena during the Fall,in the last four years,is not that bad in the Mid-Atlantic States, but they are a nuisance. There smell when Injured is horrible. BF:hug::hug::hug:

It was a cold, and overcast day today. It has been raining off,and on. When I was headed home,it began to drizzle.

The pastor at the Baptist church that I go to was in a good mood. He's always in a good mood. He said this weather reminds him of Seattle,Washington. That's where he,and his wife use to live. He said that it's always raining like this, and in the 50's in Seattle,Washington. He's a good person.

It's 48 degrees at 11:02 PM. BF:hug::hug::hug:

Dmom3005 10-08-2012 01:36 PM

My yard has frost all over it. Wow, And my car at 10am had frost all over it.
Windshield had to defrost big time. Wow, first time this year.

So not sure how cold it got. But wow.

Now the rest is my son had to hope the clouds would go down last
night. So he could get his sundown picture. He got lucky the
clouds moved out, just in time to get a picture. man they were good
pictures too.
