Bobby

Remember, the other guy at the counter might have been taking it
for years. And its just not working right now. Or he might not be
taking it the right way.

There are lots of reason's he might not like it. He might not like
it because of its taste. I would hate any of it that has taste awful
stuff. I gag things back up. And I'd keep from telling someone I
hated it or it didn't work but they would see it in my face. But that
would be the reason, if it was a liquid.

Now the metamucil, if i take it 5 capsils like I'm supposed to daily.
I have dairhea and its bad at times. So I've slowed it down. And
only take it when I find I need it for a couple of days. And it really
works for me.

I love it for this side now. I have to admit. I used to have to take
it daily. And at one time, on my doctor's order I took it twice a day.

Just because I was backed up so bad, I was having to take a liquid
if I didn't from the doctors. I hated that one.

So good luck.

Dear Bobby,
I am glad that the doctor visit went well.
They guy at the table might have had to play around with dosing. If it doesn't work, you can let your doctor know when you see him next time.

Do your fears are mostly about anxiety? Let your pdoc know in case he has ideas about tweaking the meds.

if constipation is your only symptom i seriously doubt it. if things are not better by your next visit, it would be good to remind him also, that the meds you take can cause constipation, and about the high protein diet you observed for several months. tell him any supplements you take, also. i believe he will work with you on med dosing, different meds, and diet/fluids, first. i think the colonoscopy would only be considered if all of that is an epic failure, or if you have other serious symptoms even when you have normal bowel movements (stool discoloration, pain, bleeding, etc.) painful movements and bleeding are fairly common if one is constipated so that would not count.

I am just so down. My medications aren't working.
i'm sorry.:hug::hug: you are being really really brave facing this medical challenge. you did really well telling your doctor about the constipation, so now he can help you, and you can feel better and move on. i think you'll feel better mentally also with this problem behind you...omg, no pun intended! :o:cool::rolleyes: anyway, you know what i mean.

I have to make an eye appointment. last time he had trouble taking a reading from the back of my eye which scared me. I just seem to be scared of everything.
this is more pressure. perhaps get the physical over and then do this. one thing at a time. do you always go to the same doctor or is it a clinic and you get pot luck? i hope things go smoothly this time.

hoping that you are happy with the product.
Who is not too happy with my product right now...

i am sorry you are not too happy with your product now. boy talk about taking the basic things in life for granted. today it worked. i took two doses yesterday. i couldn't sleep all night for fear it wouldn't work and then i started thinking of the worse case scenarios. I also went to amazon yesterday and they had two kirkland generic miralax for a great price and i bought one eagerly and then thought i jinxed myself. my appetite has fled right now so i am taking advantage of it. my cleaning woman offered me a dark chocolate bar with raisins and nuts and i actually said no. i gave her a pecan raisin dark bread as a gift. she wanted me to buy it and she would pay for it. then at night after having two apples at one o clock in the afternoon i had nothing. this morning i dropped three pounds which i know is temporary but i think one is for real. i hope my appetite doesn't return. this will also make it a bit confusing about input and output. I have lost over 60 pounds. If only i could lose another fifty which i doubt.

miralax has no taste and it isn't gritty. i am still only on day two but so far day one worked. I am glad for you the capsules worked. metumucil stopped working for me. If this didn't work, I was thinking of trying the capsules. I feel so desperate and obsessed. I am glad most of your problem cleared up.
Eddie is a sharp 83 year old. I didn't ask him much about how long he tried to use it. I am sure he used it right.

I see dr. m today and lately my fears have mostly been about my constipation, eyes, and teeth and money -all real fears. He lowered my risperdal upon my request from three to two. I just didn't feel all there. I was too quiet. now i am taking all the welbutrin in the morning instead of splitting it in morning and at night. today i was so happy with the results from the miralax that i wasn't depressed.
I also have anxiety. There was a break through. My best friend who lost her husband finally gained empathy as to how i feel with my depression and no energy to do things. for the first time in her life with the tragic loss of her husband she has had those feelings. she also said in passing that normal people try to avoid negative thoughts. I said i can't. I said a friend of mine said bipolars don't have defenses to ward them off. she then spoke with a friend of hers who is a psychologist who agreed with that and now she is going to tell her friend's daughter who is also bipolar. what a break through. this friendship is over forty years old.

it is so wonderful to have you back. you say things so gently. no blood or pain. then i would be through the roof and i guess have a colonscopy. strange that the doctor didn't ask me. this is a clinic but i go to the same doctor. my other doctor retired so this is the second time i have seen this doctor. he seems nice. things are a little confusing. i go back in six weeks because i forgot to tell the front desk i was having a physical. I thought that was supposed to be written on the slip. who knows. my blood pressure was good this time. i wonder if it was because i took two clonopan before i went lol.
so i should postpone the eye exam. he is a park avenue eye doctor with a baby grand in his office who you would love. his hair is slightly longest and he is the most unpretensious doctor and inquisitive about life doctor i have ever met. I think he is sort of artsy. One time he was playing scriabin in his office.
I just don't like his new machine and he told me i am growing cataracts. yuck.
what a control freak i am. my sister just had them taken care of and said it was a breeze like being in a twilight zone. everybody says a colonscopy is a breeze. one of my friends says the high from the profonol(sp) she had when she came out it would make her want to have mine if i was scheduled for it.
i have spent so much time talking about constipation. you can't imagine the amount of time i have been obsessing about it. here i was so embarrassed at first to mention it.

Dear Bobby and folks

I sooooo know about constipation. I had that exam we all don't like eithor. After many trials of different meds, and over the counter products, I found a natural one. I swear by it, and it has kept me normal now for going on two years, even with all my medications. It is simple...Steal Cut oatmeal. If you eat it on a regular basis, I promise this problem we all seem to share will go away. You will be normal in that department. I eat a big bowl of it as often as I can, and at all different times of the day. It taste fab. much better than the ordinary stuff by quaker oats. I put some natural sugar on it, or brown sugar, and YUMMY. I actually consider it a comfort food like chocolate! It can be inexpensive in bulk at the health food store. Do you all remember the saying..."you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink" ?
I truely am on to something with this good tasting remedy. I sincerely hope that some of you will try this, and not need to spend money on pharmacy stuff. Try it everyone, bobby.....I promise it works. ginnie

Bobby

I think until you get the machine in the eye doctor's office over.
That anxiety will remain. So i would either put it off or schedule
it right away.

I am so happy the new medicine worked.
