Don't be afraid, it will be OK. Even if you have a blockage, which may be the trouble. Yes call your doctor, but in the meantime, I would consider using one of those small bottles of solution and put this inside you. You know whay I am talking about. this will remove the blockage, and then your system can start to work properly again. YOu may have to do this more than once, to remove the matter that is stuck inside. It is not so bad to do. Then after that, start eating a large bowl of oatmeal EVERYDAY. It takes awhile for this bulk fiber to go through your body. the intestines are really very long, and there may be stuck matter along the way. Don't feel bad bobby, it happens to us all who take these medications. I had to be given this enema in the hospital by someone else, and that was quite embarassing. It will be ok. Try this dear, and I am sure your doctor would agree with this approach. It is not fun when our bodies don't work right. You need to get yourself regular again so that this never occurs again. [try not to think of the worst possible senario. It may just be a stubbon blockage. Try what I said. Send someone to the drug store for you while you wait for your doctos to call you back. Everything inside you intestines needs to move freely. It will be OK Bobby even if your doctor feels you need more help than what I suggested. I will be here to talk to you. bobby the miralax takes a few days to really work, but you will know when it does because your stool will be like soft globs. try doubling up on it again until you are happy with your results. Like I said there is no over dosing on this stuff. You may want to take a bottle of mag citrate to fully clean out your system, have you ever taken that before. It is a bowel prep and really works.
I am sorry that you are scared. one more thing to worry about.

Yes Bizi, there is that on the market too. She has to get rid of the blockage before she will be OK in that dept. I recommened something similar for immediate relief. Once she is clear, that oatmeal will increase the bulk in her diet and hopefully this will never happen again. I am praying for her too bizi. Hi Bobby, I had terrible blockage and, even tho I took Miralax, the most that came thru is called "ribbon". Because of the blockage, these are thin like that might get thru.

I found an article on the internet that is of great help. The article mentioned constipation from narcotics is not the same that other people not on narcotics have so it has to be treated differently. First, was to break thru the blockage and that is to take a10 oz bottle of Magnesium Citrate. I got the Crape flavor. Taste is not the greatest; but you need to drink all of it. Then start dosing with Phillips of Magnesia - 2tbls. evening and 2 tbls. a.m. From then on take the Phillips 2 tbls. daily (whatever time is best for you) I frequentily take late a.m, and can help during evening. If I start to feel some blockage, I go back to taking the 2 tbls. a.m. and p.m.

Should the blockage occur again, you will need to take another Magnesium Citrate. I had to take that over a period of a few days twice to get things working. Did the lemon flavor; didn't like at all; but neither taset great; but need to be done. I thought there might be something worse going on as well. The blockage was sooooo bad. Now every day, faithfully use the Phillips. I do keep a bottle of the Magnesium Citrate in the cabinet should I need it agaiin. Unblievable what these meds can do. I even had some blood mixed during the first few days after using the Citrate because things were getting unstuck. The blood was only temporary. (other then my hemmorids; but you know the difference)

Good luck. Tho it is upsetting, things will come out in the end (punn intended).

A few months ago, my brother was so blocked up, he had to go to the ER where they broke up with gloved hand. I did not want to do that, so like it or not, I drank the Magnesium Citrate.

Bobby, forgot to mention, drinking at least 8 oz. of water after taking the Phillips is a must.

this has been going on for a few months. i think homeopathy worked for a while. i am not sure. mag70 worked. I haven't tried that recently. on saturday the first day after i took miralax it worked then nothing. the doctor still hasn't returned my call. i just called the doctor who does colonscopies and am waiting for a return call from her to set up an appointment. I think I should definitely have one. right now i am making oatmeal. on saturday it didn't seem like a blockage. all i have been trying to do is sleep and escape

no i have never tried that. on saturday it was like soft globs. i have been taking it twice a day since friday. i don't feel as if i have to go. do you really think i haven't given it enough time.? I don't feel as if i have to go. it has taken me so long to decide to take a colonscopy i think i better.
