My theoretical to do list is getting longer instead of shorter as more stuff goes on it. Or I do stuff not on it, like the dentist, lol. Oh, btw, the ENT is today. The dentist is next week. :) I might have a reasonable (ish, hehe) excuse to hold off on job-hunting for now. But the excuse will still require tasks that ultimately help me get my hands wet. All that to say I'm probly going to have to take this computer in to the shop becausee the keyboard has a problem -- it doubles letters occasionally. It is getting annoying and I'm still under warrranty. I can either live without internet while this machine is away ( no internet? what?? who can livve llike that?) OR I can set up Linux on the old one. That will be something of a hand-dampening exercise, and, if I have enough space after wiping data, I could set it up as a Java dev platform, which would be the hand-wetting. First, I have to call the shop and see how they'd proceed with my keyboard problem. waves |

Mari. Aha! Makes sense. I may have been confused, too.
Thanks for posting the article. I'm curious and will read that later. I am trying to get myself to bed (HA! RRight), and if I read that stuff now I'll get too excited (:rolleyes::cool:). waves |

waves who broke down and is reading the article  |
Seems like this is being imported from Britain.
I think in many, if not all, of the "unusual" places where "ish" is starting to be used as a word, we would routinely use "sort of"/"kind of" to say the same thing. Also, "I guess". |
So I lost count, but I believe you crossed off 5 things on your list.
Wow, I love that. Especially number 1 and 2 priority. The meds, shower and dinner are all necessities too. So now to just figure out someway to do so job stuff. Get it to baby steps. Make a different list, cross off one thing a day maybe. Really have a happy dance if you do two. You are doing great right now, Donna :grouphug: |
ENT was a success
ENT did an endoscopic exam... nothing evident which explains my sx. He ordered a CT scan. Said if that is all clear the next step is see a neuro. Given the one eye watering, he anticipated that it looks like craniofacial nerves.
Although a sinus problem would have been preferable, a nerve issues seems more likely to me also. It would better explain the lateralized burning, salivation, corner-of-mouth sensation, and problem intermittency of severity. Anyway, he was very nice and explained everything as he went. Also commented on some other chronic issues that were present but which don't explain my sx. This guy was thorough. If the CT doesn't turn up anything, I will be satisfied that nothing was missed. waves |

trying to narrow things down
I guess I need to narrow things down some.
My single biggest problem is my joblessness together with my feebleness in attempting to remedy that. Having an income is fundamental in "doing life". My lack of employment increasingly limits every aspect of my daily life. I don't understand why I am not more aggressive about it, or how I can become more aggressive. I discussed the list and what I did from it the one day, simply to illustrate my general problem following through on priorities. I dont have a problem establlishing them, but I don't follow through. My most neglected priority is job hunting and related activities. That makes it a big problem right now. Even now, I've been staring at my old machine, and contemplating finding the Linux CD to put on it. I keep contemplating and not doing. It feels like I have to be too noisy -- entails shuffling through papers. It is late. When it isn't late there are other "reasons". There are always "reasons". OOh and most of the time it's late, besides, becausee I'm awake at night. Another counter-productive aspect, on top of the bad prioritization. I've been tyring to fix that too, and failing miserably. waves |
