I decided 2hours ahead of dinner that I would invite my girlfriend and her hubby and daughter over for dinner. I cooked a shrimp stir fry with nappa cabbage, brocolli, snow peas, yellow squash, red bell pepper and a few asparugus, it was a kit of cut up veggies. then some lemon grass basil sauce.
I cooked some noodles with some microwaved indian spinach, chick pea dish then mixed it with some grated butternut squash. it was good. then served some focacia with cheese and pesto. It cost about $40 for five people but we were all full. they stayed about 2 hours. It was nice to cook for my friend.
She is doing better, in the day program....taking it a day at a time. really likes her nurse practioner whom she will see on fridays. So I am happy about that. She works in her regular pdocs office so she could see her instead of him. The program is 6 weeks long.

That sounds delicious bizi. Well done!
I'm glad your friend is doing so much better already.

Bizi, that meal sounds fantastic! I'm sure it did your friend a world of good to be invited and taken care of like that for the evening. It's nice to hear she is doing well with her health program.

Bizi,

I am happy to hear that your friend is improving under the good care of the program and the NP.

I apologize Bizi I can't remember: have you had your B12 status checked recently?

I know you take a multi-vitamin that probably has all the B's in it, but chronic alcohol excesses can change the stomach lining so that B12 specifically is not properly absorbed. Just thought I'd check and remind you in case you haven't had it tested.

bizi 01-23-2015 08:32 AM

thanks waves, I have never had it checked before.
what other reason could I give for my mdoc to check it...I don't feel like telling her that I drink too much as a reason to get it checked....:o
