Well I picked up a meeting tomorrow with a family. Ive been talking
to for a while. We will see what happens. Ugh, I hate last minute
meetings. But its life. I knew it should be coming but I really
wish they would schedule and tell sooner, this particular one isn't
getting that scheduling so late isn't good for me.

Well Dan had an good day at court yesterday. He goes back
on April 1st and as long as he has been good. They will drop
the charges. So he and my husband were both so happy.

I had a conference that I thought went pretty good. We will
see. The one for tomorrow. Well my parent can't get off work,
so I will not be going either. They technically should be cancelling
but the parent can just look at what they decide and say yes or no.

Its going to be interesting how they think they can meet for what
they are doing without her. Even having her ideas.

Today is my son Devin's Birthday, I need to make sure I get
him his birthday card and money. He is my hardest kid to
buy for. And I have no clue what to get. So money it will
be.

I believe he is 34 today.


I pick Derrick up for the Christmas holiday tomorrow.

How long do you have Derrick for the holidays?

Honestly as long as he and Dobey want.

But I do know that he will go home the 30th for a couple days.

The 31st he is going to the celebration party he goes to every year
with his friend Grace and Shannon who is the one that takes them.
Which is great because we have nothing for him to do out here.

I'm having trouble locating the adapter for his computer so
I'm contemplating getting a back up computer or chrome.
But have to decide.

I still am debating if I should just get him another chrome book. He really
loves his. I'd love to get the stupid adapter but its still on back order so
I'm worried we wont be able to get it. I am planning to get two if
we can just in case it really is a long lasting chrome book.

No clue about someone else. We have been working through
Amazon as far as I know.

It was the only one that came up on line.

Sorry, I seem to have been awol for a while again.

I didn't get back to tell everyone. It got ordered I think on Friday.
We had been to Best Buy and checked all the other places around
the area before even trying online. Even a place called Lafayette
Electronic because it was on Back order. You have to realize
this is a very very little piece that is at the end. None of the
adapters go this small, that is the reason we were having so
much trouble.

So we are getting two of them at this time, just in case the
chrome last a while.

There is a good chance it will be at delivery point today.
Derrick's house then today too. I had it delivered to my
friends because I planned originally that he would be here.

He is home. I was supposed to go to Kokomo to pick
my mom's car up that we bought yesterday. But my
back was in pain Sunday, and its been bad since. Heat
is my best friend right now. Just life sometimes. But
normal for me. I am hoping to feel well enough to get
the car on the weekend.

And I didn't do anything to the back, its just a sore back.

I haven't tried aleve because it takes more than 2 in 12 hours. So I take
just tylenol. I keep forgetting that ibprofen works better for the back
for me than tylenol. So I need to do that.

Also to let everyone who has been trying to help us. Derrick got
both the adaptors today. So he is back on the net. Yah.

Now for the interesting news, My sister has lost the title to my
mom's car. She is all over the place at times. And doesn't remember
were she puts things. Guess this is one of those.

Oh well she will have to do some looking. She even called to ask
if Dale had taken it with him. As if he would know where it was.

I use heat vs. ice, too. There's nothing like a heating pad when you need it. I just bought a huge one for Corey and he's pretty much glued to it.
I hope that between that, ibuprofen, and rest you start feeling better soon (((HUGS)))

I hope that your sister finds that title soon. Under normal circumstances, if you lose your title, you can request a copy from the DMV. If it comes down to it, she may be able to get a copy there if she shows a copy of your mother's death certificate. IDK... you would have to call the DMV to see what you need.
Hope she finds it so nobody has to deal with that mess.

Heehee, She will be dealing with it. Luckily the car is still in the garage
at my mom's house. It wont be moving till they find or get a title.

I have no problem with that. And we will get the money back with
no problem either. So that is nothing either. Guessing the check
wasn't even cashed yet either.

Yes, Derrick is pretty much a happy camper. Also he is ready to
go back to work on Monday. And found out that he will need to
make sure he can get the right bus home on Monday. They are
changing his route. Ugh, not a good way to start his day. Or
mine for that matter. But its life. Doby hopefully goes home tomorrow.

Just haven't felt like trying taking him on my own. Think hubby and
I are doing tomorrow. Unless he decides he wants to tonight.
Which would probably be fine with me too.

I hope everything goes okay with Derrick's bus route when he goes back to work. It sounds like another potential headache neither one of you needs.

How is your back?

My back is still sore at times. But better. And yes I always miss especially
Derrick. Doby I get tired of but also miss. Dale decided to get stupid
and take his hard hat off way up in the air on Friday, and I guess he
gave himself an concussion. He of course didn't tell anyone. And took
care of it himself. Not even me till the day after. He is definitely
a man who doesn't let anyone help unless he has too.

I went to town to Walmart and Meier's today. I got tired of staying
home I guess. But bought a few things. I even got Derrick the
cookie scoop thing he tried to find at Christmas. And some other things
he needs.

Harmony's pediatrician has decided that she needs to be tested for
Autism finally. So they are working on the paperwork. We had been
asking for a while.

Saw Will at the convenience store on Friday with his other Grandma,
having pizza. He is always so funny. And was so excited to see me.
Then Dan came in and he thought that was neat too. And followed him around the store too.:hug::grouphug:

I'm glad that Harmony is finally being tested for Autism, like you have be asking for... the earlier the better. I hope that she does well during the testing tho, and the evaluator has some ideas about interventions that will make a positive impact.

My back just comes and goes with the weather I think. The cold makes it
worse. So at least I know why. Heating pad is here for when its needed.

Otherwise all is good there. Cancelled doctors appointment and town today.
Ugh, I didn't like sounds of black ice. Will wait.

Derrick and I were asked back a ways to apply for the Tippecanoe Arc, which is an organization that does activities for the disabled. Its the organization that he has been doing lots of activities with. So we put in an application each. And learned last night our applications were accepted. So he is going to an meeting tomorrow night. Luckily his provider will take him. I have an previous committment. And someone will take him home, because its probably over after he is supposed to have him back home and leave. But that is okay.

I always go to the heating pad if I have severe pain in my back or neck, too.

I'm glad that you and Derrick were accepted into that program. Can you tell us more about the activities?

Remember me talking about taking him and two others to play bingo,
they do bowling. I also took him and Grace to The dance that got
rained out that got a location change. They won 1st and 2nd place,
then Derrick won the grand place award.

They also had an Halloween party and an christmas party. And some
other things.

Ok I'm kind of proud of myself because I procrastinate on doctors
appointments that are general ones. And today I just went
ahead and made another one. Next Wednesday so lets all hope
it doesn't get snowed out again or iced out.

Me too on the second part Kay,

The first part didn't come true. Not sure how much snow. But I
had to cancel the medical alert appointment for Derrick's install
today. Because I'm home stuck because my county is on
an travel advisory watch today, which means only essential travel.

So its scheduled for 2 weeks away now. I could have done it next
week. But Derrick works on Tuesday, and I have a full day so
wont just go let myself in and do it. And I have plans with Meluvja,
wont ruin those either. And I told a parent I'd help her on THursday
had to reschedule from Wednesday thanks to doctor. So

But its life. Now for the fun, part Derrick's cell phone is not working
right now. And I can't just go get him a new one. And I can't even
make sure he has enough money. Ugh I hate this weather.

Oh well hopefully he is fine.

yes, the weather I can handle, just not enjoy or like.

I'm having lots of trouble working through the Derrick not having a
phone, but he is emailing and that will have to work.
At this point he works tomorrow and I will have Dale pick him up
to come out here. Tonight he has an provider coming and that

I'm sorry that Derrick's medical alert will have to wait so long, but it sounds like you will be suer-busy and there's no way around it.

I think I forgot to mention that the program that you and Derrick were approved for is wonderful... I remember you mentioning all the great activities Derrick was participating in in the past, especially the bowling which he seems to really enjoy :)

Dale could take Derrick and go try and get either a new phone.
Or see if they can fix his.

But they will have Doby, so I'm guessing that we will do
that hopefully Monday. Because he would have to come
home and get me to take us both.

That is a lot of work. Heehee, since they would not get here
till at least probably 6pm. And we would have to hope the
weather is holding off. And that we got back into town in time
for the place.

Yeah, 6 is pretty late to go head out to the store. You usually have to wait around at those places, too. I guess there's no big rush since he can't even use his phone at your place anyway. I know this is awful, but I hope they can't fix it so Derrick can get a new phone ;)

Sorry, I haven't been on the computer all weekend.

They couldn't fix it at all. And today he went into town.
We were snowed in and he went today to get new phone
with his dad.

Its cold and we had a mess all weekend, we were on an
warning the highest level of alert yesterday and watch
Friday and Saturday.
