Default Really sick, took Clindamycin, now severe PN? Reply to Thread

Hi,
I am sure it is Clindamycin. They did not test me for Mono but the sore throat is not going away and it's the worst I've ever seen. They did the strep test and it came back negative but he elected to give me an antibiotic anyway as I was SO sick. He want to try Clindamycin because he said Amoxicillian can give a rash or something like that. I really didn't want to try something I had never tried but I went with his recommendation.

Within 24 hours, my hands and feet were burning up, pins and needles and I could hardly walk. It came on very, very quick.

Is there any information out there? Will this clear up quickly? Is this permanent? It's possible I have Mono and then the antibiotic combination caused this issue. I'm not even sure what type of Dr to see?

Please let me know any info at all?
