Cheers for the advice guys.

With regards drinking I drank during the weekends as a young man (not that I think of myself as old yet!) until my early 20s then stopped completely for 5 years or so. I probably only touch alchohol 3-4 times per year so probably less than most people I know which is why I (and everyone that knows me) think the alchohol thing is unlikely.

The chiropractor thought it was compression in my lower back as when he put me in a certain position the sensations came shooting out of my big toes - however last time I was there that didnt happen leaving him confused. He also couldnt understand how it could trigger the upper body and face itchness I suffer.

I dont know how this starts with others but mine appeared to be pretty instant along with the pain down the leg and has gradually calmed down. However just some excessive lower body movment brings it all on.

Im going to get to a Neurologist I think which may help move things on as the others appear to be out of ideas.
