Well I have wonderful news. It is all a go for my permament implant and I was told I should have a scheduled appt. in 2 to 3 weeks. I take it that is usually how long it takes to get everything together. I'm so excited!!! My pain has come back full force which I expected and I miss my tingle machine GREATLY!!! I was told that I used my unit during the trial a total of 160 hours...lol...the front desk lady said that was the highest amount of hours used on the device during the trail they had ever seen in their office and I thought to myself are you kidding me??? I had that baby on 24/7. I don't know why anyone would want to turn it off when it's giving your wonderful relief. I just thought that was so odd. Do any of you that had the trial recall how many hours you used your device if your trial was 7 days long? I'm curious if I'm a rarity again....
MARK~I wanted to answer your question about my trail placement. During the last part of the procedure my doctor did knock me out for the rest of it once she knew where to put the lead under my skin. I had been on the table for over 3 hours and she did it as a favor to me so I would feel the needle again and she knew I was exhausted from laying like that. So yes I was awake the whole time until she did the finally placement of the lead. I was only out for about 15mins at the max....it was really nice not to have to feel that last needle going in We(the hubs and I) are trying to figure out if we want to purchase another house or not. We have one in Texas that we rent out and we are considering getting another one but everything is so up in the air right now in regards to his duty station. We have no idea if we will be staying here long enough to make it worth while so even though we know this we've been checking out near by areas and houses to see what everything is going for around here....WHAT A JOKE!!! I'm shocked and dishearten about the prices here in GA and what you get or lack there of... I don't mean to rant but it's been at the fore front of my mind since we've been looking for the past several days. Oh what to do what to do...Do we wait on this property we found at a AMAZING PRICE or do we wait and risk the chance of loosing it. Why can't life be easier sometimes ya know...???? Thank you everyone for all the well wishes and prayers for my son. He was sick for 2 weeks!!! For some reason the fever just would not go away and with his school he can not attend with a fever of 100.4 or greater so what's a parent to do???? I'm just glad it's over with and he is better and finally back to his old happy go lucky self again Once I have an up date I'll be sure to let you guys know right away. You guys are always in my thoughts and prayers! God Bless you guys because you make this so much easier on me Treca

Hi Treca
Im so pleased for you that you are going ahead with the permanent implant. You wont be disappointed if you felt good with the trial lead. I do hope that it will be soon too. Its great to hear when someone benefits from the trial and its onwards and upwards from there. Im glad they knocked you out too. I was on the table for about an hour if my memory serves me right. But I was awake , well sedated but still can remember everything It wasnt that bad at all, just the actual injections...they felt worse. For the permanant implant I was awake also, but tbh I dont really remember that much about it. I was sedated but didnt realise how much until I tried to remember getting on and off the table and it was over 3 hours long so I dont remember being awake THAT long The worse part of that for me was again the injections to numb me up.....So Im sure you will have NO trouble whatsoever. Im was told for my replacement battery which is being done on Tuesday that I will be asleep...so very pleased about that So glad to hear that your little boy is on the mend. Its awful when they are so ill and you just want to take their place. We have the same rule in our school with my daughter , where no child whether its a sniff or full blown flu are allowed into the classroom. These children are very prone to all sorts of infections. Sorry I cant help you on picking another housewhich I could. But Im sure you will make the right choice. If you were here in Ireland you certainly wouldnt be thinking of selling , although its a buyers market, but the property boom which we have had over the past 15 years has taken a massive slump so what was worth a fortune a few years ago is almost 50% less now.....but good luck with what choice you make Take care Jackie |

So glad to know your Trial was a success and you have a realistic time frame in which to anticipate the setting of the date for your permanent implant! May all go well and be well with you in this and all things, especially in house hunting, as that can be a chore in itself.

Thank you Jackiey and Mark!
Yes!!!!! Jackiey the NUMBING UP WAS THE WOREST FOR ME!!! ugh...lol...that's why she knocked me out completely for the last bit of time so I wouldn't feel it anymore. But I remember everything because I pretty much felt pain through out the whole entire time because whatever she was scraping agianst when she was trying to get the leads right in my spine caused me great pain and had me crying like a baby and took my breath away. Still to this day I feel twinges of where that pain was and I think because she kept trying and trying to get it past a certain point and I was just to tight that it caused some bruising maybe??? So that is why I still feel some pain from it if I lean my back against my couch or pillows in a certain way. Your in my prayers Jackiey!!! I really hope everything gets fixed and turns our for the better for you. And here's to being KNOCKED OUT!! WOOT WOOT!! 'S Treca

Hey there gang!
OK so after waiting and waiting for my doctor's office to call me with news on when I'll become mommy robot. I called them on Thursday because I couldn't take it anymore. Even my St. Jude Rep called to see if they had called me yet. BUT I found out some AWESOME NEWS!!!! First I should be getting a call next week with a date and time but the biggest news I'm sooo excited about is MY VERY OWN DOCTOR has decided to do the permanant implant for me!!!!!!! I know that a lot of the times the person that does the trial is not usually the person who will put in the permanent so when I found that out that she decided that SHE would be doing it I went nuts!!!! LOL...I guess she felt the same way I did. I am a special case and she knows from the trial EXACTLY where my leads need to be placed. Needless to say I am SOOOO EXCITED ABOUT THIS!!!! I also found out that because she has decided this that she has decided to do it in the hospital in the county I'm in and that is why it's taking a little longer to set everything up. She is just so great to be so considerate about my needs and not making me drive an extra 45mins. She is doing this all for me and my needs and to make me more comfortable about the situation....gee...how great is that????? This doctor is AMAZING AND I KNOW how BLESSED I truly am.... I hope everyone has a very blessed weekend and I pray all of you with your SCS are doing their jobs and I pray all the ones on trials right now are working and giving you the relief that you have been seeking for years!!!! All of you are in my prayers!!!!!! Treca
