Kelly, have fun at the get together! Feel better soon.

Von, hoping the blood tests go ok.

Sox, Gotta check out that blog. I love finding new recipies. We've got the pizza guy on speed dial here in case one of my experiments goes south.

Sandy, sorry to hear you got stuck inside with the football mania. Hope the weather is not too cold when you go in October.

Everyone,

~~~~~
Those neat little paint sample things from home depot are dangerous! We have little paint stripes in various places in the house now trying out new colors, lol!
We have a peach foyer now thanks to them and the hubby. So I can now go crazy with finding colors that compliment it now that we are committed. heehee.
Good morning all...Monday once again...I like Fridays the best, don't you?
Kelly, I wish your numbness would lessen...take it easy...
Sox, hope that DS eventually enjoys going to school in the morning...
Tricia, take it easy in prep for moving...
I had a weekend full of that darn fatigue...slept for a couple of hours on Sat. afternoon, and about 3 hrs. Sunday afternoon...I had so much trouble walking to Best Buy yesterday, my poor DH had to help me. Grrr...
My DS from D.C. has slight pneumonia...he went to the ER Sat. night, since his heart was racing and he had a bit of trouble breathing. And his gums were swollen. He'd called me before he went to the ER to ask if he was allergic to penicillin...maybe this was a sign? Anyway, his fever is down and his heart/breathing was better yesterday afternoon...we're never done being moms
And my poor dog isn't doing well at all...he hardly ate or drank at all yesterday or this morning, and this is a dog that lives to eat...he cried during the day as he laid still...and his eyes don't look right. He just lays around...my DH said to just watch him, since he's come back so many times before...his 11th birthday is this Friday. I pray he makes it, but I don't want to put him through too much pain/discomfort for my selfish reasons...
Well, after that uplifting post, I hope all of you have a great Monday...those of you in the midwest, keep warm...it's cool and windy here...sweater weather, finally!
DebbieD - Sweater weather? Don't be posting stuff like that as it is supposed to be in the 100s this week. Oh, I guess that would be "sweater" weather. LOL I just crack myself up.
Morning all! It's chilly here, temp shows 53 right now. The wind is the big culprit and it's showing it's true force. I checked the Almanac and it's supposed to be cold here this winter with less precipitation. Not sure if I like this forecast or not. But it did say we'll have mild spurts so hoping for that. Debbie, they say we'll have a snow storm around Thanksgiving. Ugh.
Kitty, enjoy the weather and hope your feeling better by next week.
Debbie, I hope your furbaby perks up soon.
Trish, happy packing! I'm excited for you!
Jenn, I need to paint my bedroom but can't find the energy!
Sox, glad your son is starting to settle into his routine.
Weave, glad you had a good time this weekend.
Vonn, I remember when I went to college I had to have the tv sound in the background to study. I couldn't do it in the quiet. lol
Have a great day everyone and to those I may have missed and hope your doing well this Monday.
I meant to post this link in my previous message. I just learned my cousin Carole has breast cancer but she's doing well. They caught it early enough so that it wasn't at an aggressive stage yet.
www.thebreastcancersite.com
"Your click on the "Click Here to Give - it's FREE" button helps fund free mammograms for women in need — low-income, inner-city and minority women whose awareness of breast cancer and opportunity for help is often limited. Your click is paid for by site sponsors, and mammogram funding is provided to clinics throughout the U.S. through the efforts of the National Breast Cancer Foundation."
I had a busy weekend of running around and cleaning because my "little" brother who just got back from Iraq is coming to see me. He will be here around 8 PM tonight. I'm dying today after all of the weekend activities and I don't think I'm going to have time to take a nap.
I have to go to the funeral home before he my brother gets here because one of my best friends' dad died on Saturday. He was a dear, sweet man. I've known him for about 18 years now. It made me sad to hear that he had passed, but he has been quite ill for a couple of months now.
Dang I'm tired....Do you think anyone would notice if I fell asleep at my desk??
I read everything and promptly lost it all in my fog of exhaustion. Hugs and anything else anyone needs to get through the day to all.
Sandy ... when I study - I have the boob-tube on or the radio .. when I actually TAKE the exam ... I play instrumental piano music ...
I think I did okay: 8 out of 12 correct ... and now waiting for the grading of the 4 essays ... I think they were 30 pts each ... the course is halfways over and I'm still hanging in there with an A ... (even with all these doctor appts and blood tests) ... whew!!
UPDATE:
just got back from giving 2 more viles of the red stuff ... next monday - I'll be gone ALL day with 2 doctor appts and meeting my cousin for lunch afterwards and to show him my quilts ...
OH - his sister (and her husband) know very well the guy that owns the Barn ... and I should be able to get in there to put on a community art gallery show next fall ... and they all know this guy that they were matching me up with ... no, he hasn't called yet (but he's the first guy that EVER asked for my number)
working on the website ... have a great day!!
Beautiful weather here today! Painters are still repairing and prepping to get started painting. SO all windows are open and the breeze feels good! Now the bugs on the otherhand...yuk!
I tried to catch up and remember, but cog fog is really bad today. Hugs to all who need them. Prayers too.
Sox... I love Pioneer Woman's site. I got my vegetable bed idea and instructions for building it from her. Wish I had her writing talent!
Kitty, I hope ya'll are getting these nice breezes and sunshine! Enjoy your outing with your friends tonight!
Barb, the soup sounds good! I hadn't thought of using the lemon pepper noodles in soup...sounds good!
Afternoon, all...
Well, I drove over to the place where I work out, sat in the car, and decided I was too weak and fatigued to even get out of the car. This has hit me like a mac truck...nothing is getting done around the house except laundry...it's a dirty mess, but I really don't have any energy...I have to get my winter coats over to be cleaned...I usually get more energy after 3 pm...so I'll try then.
Sandy, I hope the Farmer's Almanac is wrong about a storm here at Thanksgiving...this year we're celebrating Christmas then, so we need the airports and roads open!!
I just want to curl up in my afghan and watch the wind blow the leaves around...
