My oldest DS took me out to lunch today. We went to Johnny Carino's (sort of like Macaroni Grill) and it was so good. Got my favorite - Bowtie Festival. It's a pasta dish that is just yummy. I brought most of it home, though, as they just give you enough for three people!

Watched a rerun of Urban Cowboy this afternoon. I just love that movie. I think it's the music.

Did a little laundry and cleaned out my jewelry armoire. Most of it was costume jewelry that I'd had for years. I threw most of it out. What little good jewelry I had left I put into a jewelry box that sits on my dresser. My son's girlfriend was looking for a stand alone jewelry armoire so I let him give her mine. It looks like a piece of antique furniture but it's not. Now I have an empty spot in my bedroom that looks weird! Guess I now have an excuse to buy something new!

Gotta go get ready for bed. If I stay up any longer the Rocky Road ice cream in the freezer that's calling my name is going to win.

LOL! Yesterday I was in an art festival, which we had to leave somewhat early to get there. Got home around 6, and zonked out around 8. Definitely exhausted and hurting after that, but had reserved this months back.

Had fun anyways. Some parents brought their future abstract artists to my tent for inspiration, which was kinda cool. Talked to those kids a bit since they are a bit shy of their ability since it isn't like still life or landscape. Also sold a painting at the last minute too. Guy came back as I was packing up and said "wait! I really want that one we talked about!"

So my day was mainly the festival and then sleeping - LOL!

I had a quiet day -- mostly reading and watching a few shows that I had on my DVR. I need to get ready for my afternoon class tomorrow. I still have five more articles to read. But I am also thinking about driving up to an outlet mall for a few hours. It takes about 40 minutes to get there. Hmmm. Which should I do -- go help out the economy by spending a bit of money or stay home and work?

Jenn -- Congrat's on the sale! There is a broom corn festival near here, but I don't think I can handle the heat or crowds. I used to love to go to it.

Hi everyone! I am tired but wanted to check in and let you know our reunion went very well. It was so nice seeing all our old friends! 20-25 years had passed and we wont let that happen again.

I'm trying to stay busy with a project here and there ... making room is not an option ...

right now (well, for the last couple of weeks) ... my stomache/abdomen just hurts all around ... right under the rib-cage ... so I try to cut for awhile, then sew for a bit ... paint a bit ... sit for awhile .. talk to you guys ... nothing seems to relieve the pain ...

tomorrow, I leave to have a CT scan done ... and hopefully learn more about the elevated liver enzymes and what's going on with my liver ... it's the waiting ... and waiting ...

I'll be fine ... just another hurdle or mogle to get over ... one day at a time!!

I've done 2 loads of laundry, swept, vacuumed, made Taco meat for supper later and talked on the phone to my friend Debbie for an hour! And I even slept until 11:30 AM, too!!

I got two cherry tomatoes from the garden last night. Several of them had been ruined by some sort of bug. There's a few more out there I want to pick before the bugs get them, too.

The canteloupe was small but I cut it and it looked and smelled good.....tasted good, too. Maybe next year they'll be larger. The watermelon is getting bigger by the day. Not sure how to tell when it's ready to be picked. It looks too small right now. It's one of those with darker green stripes.

I was going to try and take my car to the car wash and have it cleaned up and detailed today but the weather forecast is predicting rain 3 days out of five next week so I won't waste my money. I'll wait till the weather clears and have my kids do it for me!

Stopped by the drug store yesterday on the way home from lunch and was surprised at all the Halloween candy that's already out. But, then I thought about it and Halloween is next month......still seems a little early, though. Tempting, too! Those Reese's are calling my name!!

It's a quiet day here...after church, told DH I was exhausted and needed a nap. I slept for almost 3 hrs. Hope it doesn't ruin my night's sleep...but I felt so great after that nap!
We having the inlaws over for dinner and then watch the Bears play Green Bay. My DD and her DH want us to webcam each other, since they're in central Wis. and her DH is a Packer fan (how we let him into our family, I'll never understand).

maybe that's my problem ... I like my cheese and venison .... and cheese!!

hopefully they'll find out more after the CT - because I'm still in alot of pain ... and done eating or drinking until tomorrow ... well, nothing after 7am .. so, I'll drink alot of water ... will have the contrast IV, too ...

I did some reading about autoimmune hepatitis ... so, we'll see what the real doctors say! your thoughts and prayers were very comforting ... please keep them coming!!
