Good job on the weight loss, Barb. Keep it up!! It's taken me a couple months of counting points, but I've lost 15 pounds and went down 2 sizes. I still have another 15 - 20 pounds to get into that "ideal" range, but I am happy to wear smaller sizes and look better.
It's perfectly normal to forget your ABC's, right? It took me at least 5 or 6 tries this morning to get from E to H. I just couldn't make sense of it. I was trying to figure out how we got from storm Earl to Hermine. I kept thinking J came after F, so I kept skipping G, H and I. I got pretty frustrated. I finally figured it out, but not before I felt pretty stupid. |
Good Morning everybody! :)
Barb and Holly....congrats on the weight loss! Isn't it amazing how losing a few extra pounds can make you feel so much better?! Sox, I'm so glad you checked in. I've been thinking about you and praying that your little guy started the school year "tear-free". Anxiety is such a hard thing to overcome. Especially for a child who doesn't have alot of experience with coping skills. I'm so glad to hear that he started off on a positive note. I'm praying now that your phone stays silent all day and he comes home brimming with good news and positive reports! Sandy, how's your Mom? I've kept her in my prayers and hope she's able to continue to look after herself. I wish she'd consider an assisted living community if that is feasible for her. She might like the socializing it provides. It seems like Monday to me. I'll be a day "off" all week now. We had the most gorgeous holiday weekend here. The weather could not have been more perfect. Supposed to heat up a little more this week but I know the end of the heat is in sight. Everyone have a good Tuesday! :grouphug: |
Morning! My futon is finally being delivered today. It was forgot and left on the dock last week. Other than that, nothing planned today but putting that together.
The Bears Steve McMichael is opening a new place in Sandwich and we'll try to go to that Sunday. A new place to eat! These small towns are moving up! haha Kitty, she's OK. But with every seizure she is getting worse. The dementia worsens, I should say. Sis is going to talk to the doctor today. They blew her off all weekend. Argh. I am going to ask sis to ask her primary for a referral to a neuro that helped her friends mom. We need to stop these before mom doesn't know herself. :-( |
Good morning everyone...hope everyone survived the weekend!
Sandy, I'm sorry to hear that your mom's condition seems to be worsening... glad you survived your weekend get-together too...you're a dear to host these shindigs. Barb, not sure why they charge so much...I'm fortunate that DH knows how to install stuff. And that I have a couple of strong sons nearby... Wiz, hope the day went well yesterday...keep the bug in your boss' ear about management. Sox, so glad to hear all the kids are doing well...and your little one is doing better... Holly, isn't it nice when we get good news like that? Hope he can get some intrinsic motivation to do well in school...a lecture about 'using the gifts given' might get through...oh probably not:rolleyes:kids don't get that kind of talk... Sarah...take care sweetie... DH and I went up to DD's Sunday morning through yesterday after dinner...DH helped SIL start their unfinished downstairs bedroom. they got the electricity in, a closet framed in and most of the drywall put up. DD and I went and bought laminate flooring and underlayment since it was on sale...we'll probably head up there over another weekend to help finish...SIL is willing to learn, which our DSs don't seem to care enough about...it's cute to see them work together... It's nice to be back home though, although it's windier than a politician outside;)...but it's home...I have some cleaning to do, and finally taking down the extra tables in the front room and dining room from the remodel...then I can start heavy cleaning. I want my house back together by the weekend... Hope all of you have a wonderful Tuesday!! :):) |
Teaching, reading, grading here in Il. I made flight reservations yesterday for Christmas in Austin with my sis, bil, and adorable, smart, crazy niece. I am also getting my mom a ticket to fly in from Ohio.
Soxmom -- I hope the day went well for your little one. Sandy -- I hear you about small towns and few restaurants. We are down to two Mexican restaurants, one Thai, two Chinese buffets (yuck) one mom and pop restaurant that is not open for dinner, a few fast food places, and pizza, pizza, pizza. Oh -- and lots of bars. We have had about five restaurants close in the last year. A sign did go up this summer for a "Weiner World", but I think they spent all of their money on the sign as it has not opened yet.;) |
ok who votes for Wiz to take the Christmas tree off her status thingy.. heheheheeee just teasin ya...
hey all... two more work days thru pain... then hoping to get massage on friday.. as sat and sunday hubby and I golfing in a tournament... hoping my stiffness/pain this week goes away by then.... we are taking the weekend just the two of us too.. woohooooo November will be 20 year anniversary... wow... does not feel that long so must be a good thing;) Kids started back to school today... all go now.. as even little one goes to the learning center (disability preschool) Ciara went last few years now Maddie will go.... speech delayed too... guess I do not let them talk lol well not much... other than wondering what to do for this pain stuff other than the hydrocodone... hugsss all, sarah |
Seems all I do lately is pass through and wave at ya'll. :winky:
Fatigue, muscle spasms, twitching lips and burning feet have come to visit. Thank goodness I have a neuro appt next week. I have slept so much lately, but when you have to, you do. I tried to read the last couple of days posts, but I can't seem to retain any information... so hugs to all who need them. :grouphug: |
Good morning folks:)
pam...I hope you are feeling better soon. barb...Christmas with family sounds nice.:) sarah...sometimes you have to take what you need so you can "live". If it takes some hydrocodone to get you on the golf course then so be it. Have fun!! deb...enjoy being home!! Sandy, wiz, holly, Kelly, tricia, moo, fin..everyone have a happy hump day!! Well, yesterday my youngest had a great day! He seemed truly happy. Today was another story...no tears...just not wanting to go. We start some anti anxiety meds in about two weeks. We wanted to wait until a few weeks into school so we could figure out what was anxiety and what may be side effects. My dd11 loved middle school!! Yay! I am happy to report my scale budged. I am down 65 pounds. I am really unable to do any excercise so its basically from cutting calories. It has taken a year and a half to lose it so it wasnt a fast process. I would be very pleased if I could lose about fifteen more.:o Well, I am off to do the grocery shopping. Love to all!!:grouphug: |
Morning all! No big plans today, just some laundry, showers, the usual suspects. Hope everyone is enjoying their hump day!
 to all. |
Afternoon everyone...
Pam, sorry you're having trouble... worked out this morning, then did some unnecessary shopping:rolleyes: dog toy/treats, some mums, bird seed, fall fertilizer, that type of stuff...not used to working out...I am ready for a nap!! so I think I'll go take one...hope everyone has a great afternoon...:) |
