Default Daily Insights...Imagine all the people...at NT!!

Starting up a new thread now that we're very close to the 1K mark...

It snowed for a time up here in Naperville...now it's raining. Ugh...

Went to inlaws and saw the new great grandbaby. It was so nice of sister in law and niece to drive through the snow to show them the new addition. We are blessed by wonderful family members...

Stay safe, esp those in the south and east...this winter just keeps getting more interesting...

So far the nasty weather has stayed north of here. 80% chance of rain tonight.

Hi everyone!

Been a bad few days with the hug, numbness, twitching and stomach pains. Can't get in to the neuro until the 24th so I called my PCP. I'm sick of this and it's been going on for far too long. I upped my neurontin, which is helping, and have been taking Ativan once a day. I may up that one too! I've only been taking 0.5 mg so adding one more won't hurt any and hopefully will help. After lunch today my stomach started to spasm to where you could see the outline of it. Not fun!

I know I have been under quite a bit of stress over the past month but I don't think stress can do this to a body. Plus, I've been through this before with flares - it's just a little worse this time. And, this all started when I got strep in the beginning of December. UGH!

Ok enough of my complaining. Sorry (just sick of this).

Debbie - Thanks for starting a new thread.

Barb - It is nice here. No chance of rain. It's been in the 70s I think. I just haven't been able to get out there and enjoy it.

Where's everyone else? Hope they can find us.

Have a good evening, everyone!

Hey all I found you!!!! Thanks Deb!

Trish, hope your better soon. I would start looking up the link to strep and exacerbating symptoms of ms. May be a link to both?

Got snow all day and then rain. My gutters are looking stressed from the snow and now wet combo. Yuck. Was supposed to take Jim for his botox tomorrow but canceled. The city is expecting 3-5 inches lake effect. Of course now the weather says different and we already canceled.

Anyway, nothing else going on. Jim and I are judging in a chili contest with Steve McMichael (Mongo of the 85' Chicago Bears) this Saturday. Should be fun. We got our cowboy hats in the mail today. It's a western theme. :-)

Went to the big girl, big city hosp yesterday to see the fancy neuro. He told me I am definatly in a flare and offered me steroids. I said no. He offered several DMD choices and I said no. He offered me a new MRI and I said ok, but only if you can give me better drugs. He scheudled an anesthesiologist to go with me. I asked him once again "are you SURE this is MS?! and he said "stop saying that! We dont dx by mistake or just because its convienent. we would NEVER dx you unless we were positive you have MS" *sigh* one of these days I might believe him. I dont want this stupid disease.

Its snowing...again. the cleaning girl called to resched...again. The cat isnt feeling well...again. The husband is grumbling about living in NH...again, but he doesnt want to move from here...again. its going to be one of those days...AGAIN!

Good Morning! It's drizzly and cloudy here but not cold! It's in the 50's. Don't worry, though.....another cold blast is due in here Friday. How long till Spring?

There was a little white dog running around in my back yard this morning. He kept going to the neighbors back door and barking. He doesn't live there and I could tell this was someone's pet. He was groomed and very clean. I heard a man calling him.....her I guess because he called her "Lady" and she ran off. I hope she made it home safely. I wondered why my little barn kitties were not on the porch this morning!

Sox, sounds like ya'll are ready for more snow! I'm glad your family enjoys it. Everyone here in GA just freaks out about it!

Going to try and get some cleaning done today. I need to steam the kitchen floors but just keep putting it off. It takes so much out of me but they need it so badly.

Everyone have a great day!

Good Morning! It is raining and foggy here. Most of the snow/ice has melted. Temp's are suppose to fall this afternoon, and snow is in the forecast again. Sigh! I do hate winter. I hope my students have done the reading for class today. Otherwise, I am going to be one grumpy professor.

Tricia, I'm sorry you are having a rough time. Hope you can get in to see your pcp.

Soxmom - Your kids are going to be in school until July with all of these snow days.

Kelly, Ask your son to do the floor. You do all of the cooking and I imagine most of the cleaning.

Sandy -- We want pictures of you and Jim in your cowboy hats.

Dej -- I think winter seems to be full of "those" days. It is time for you to take a vacation somewhere warm.

He's offered....and I should take him up on it. I've got to just learn to accept how others do the work. I tend to want it done "my way" and I need to get over that. Plus, it's good exercise so I might do a little and let him finish. The last time I brought it up he said right away "I'll do it" so I just need to give him the steamer and let him go!
