Tricia .. you're probably gone already ... we're praying all across the nation (and globally) that she is okay ... and you, too ... this is very stressful - breathe, breathe!!

Sandy - did you feel like you weren't in 'kansas' anymore?? when the winds start blowing I start singing the song (when the house is swirling in the tornado part in the beginning of Oz) ... glad that you're okay and that you were there for Jim ...

I have a little 89 year old next door to me - that takes out her hearing aids at 9pm .. I asked how will anyone get her attention if there was a fire or something and who has a key ... she told me who does - but, will probably be on her life-line call list eventually .. and for those 'unexpected' moments ... otherwise, I said to her yesterday, I'll just climb out of my window and go to the room where she's not and break it in, then get her up from the other room ... we laughed ... like I was spiderman or something on the first floor rescue!!

hot and humid here ... hmmmm, Alaska is looking pretty good!!:p

SandyC 08-05-2008 01:32 PM

Trish, oh honey I am praying hard for her and for you! I know your scared. :hug:

FinLady 08-05-2008 01:49 PM

Adding my prayers as well, trish:hug:

NaeNae 08-05-2008 01:51 PM

You've got my prayers Trish! I hope the poor girl gets some answers soon!

Sandy you know you were looking for an excuse to jump poor Jim's bones! LOL I tried calling you while in town earlier, but the old eyes aren;t what they used to be and I called my cousin Susan instead!

Jodylee 08-05-2008 02:12 PM

Tricia, prayers and thoughts are heading your way :hug: 's.

I am here but leaving to go see Batman around 5pm. Jim's taking a nap right now as I sit surfing.

Get this, I am starting to find information that methadone may be related to urinary problems. I am going to ask Jim's spinal cord doc to look into this. I am not finding hard pressed scientific evidence of this but have found several patient sites where they are talking about their problems. Some say when they quit the methadone, the urinary problems left. :confused:

Interesting.

weegot5kiz 08-05-2008 03:15 PM

Trish I am late in wishing prayers and hope she is better real soon, try not over stressing mom.

Sandy it was like a war zone around here last night, trees everywhere, branches everywhere it got pretty nasty we all got our phones shoes car keys ids and money in our pockets got dressed in case we had to make a dash for it, when i posted last night non stop lightening and thunder i was not exaggerating ten minutes later we got hit with another nasty outburst, like i said we got to the dark purple brown color here last night on the radar map

everyone take it easy, i didnt really read anything yet i am slow to say the least today.

this infections getting the best of me bladder kidney and back pains to boot, no i have not gone to ER and dont really want to so.... I shall deal with it drink plenty of water and try to flush it out of my system....

I am glad everyone weathered the storm last night and are doing well today

hope you all have a good day

sabimax 08-05-2008 03:46 PM

prayers too TK...hugsss

Sandy, Nae Nae beat me to the punch line...but was gonna also say...sureee there was a tornado...just Sandys excuse to have some extra jump on Jim time..hehehehe glad you guys made it thru the storm...

Just home from work, well also my mom picked me up at work to go to a late lunch...late bday lunch together..hehe...

It is quite warm here, not going to push today with house stuff...although lots to do before vacation....

hugss all, sarah

SandyC 08-05-2008 04:21 PM

Frank, ummm, let's see, how do I put this nicely? Please do not play around with the kidney thing, please. I have seen first hand what it's like to watch your husband go from one extreme to the next. Having a doctor pull you aside to ask what your husband's last wishes are nothing I ever want to go through again much less my close friends here at NT.

It's probably nothing but a change in meds but it's not worth chancing it. At the very least, please call your doctor and let them know how your still feeling. :hug:

Don't make me come up there. :mf_swordfight:

sabimax 08-05-2008 04:39 PM

ummmm confused here...any advice...

ok the drs assistant called, and was calling after hours..so making it quick..nice of her to call though...
first I realized the pharmacy didnt give me the right amount for prednisone..for the way she wants me to take it..tapering down then 2mg a day....as I asked her why I dont have any that are 2mg worth...pharmacy gave me 20mg and 10mg doses..duhhhh gotta see about not being charged then for right dosage right...

ok then she says, she talked to my dr..and she is doing a referral for me to see a endocrinologist...so I said ok cool....(actually thinking of immunology as she mentioned maybe before) then I told her I also want the referral to this other neuro hubby is talking about..so she said sure.

so I got off phone..and read about what the heck a endocrinologist is....and wonder why send me to one...????

I have had thyroid test I think in past, and good...maybe just to check all my hormone levels....wont hurt to go...but wondering if this makes any sense.....help me...hhehehee

well anyhow, I got the referral thing going for the neuro so that was one of my main things to accomplish...for after vacation.....

Any of you seen a endocrinologist before? if so for what..and any info I would love thanks, sarah

weegot5kiz 08-05-2008 04:44 PM

I know deb isn't too happy with me right now, i finally mentions the chest pains i had Sunday morning that woke me from a dead sleep, just so dam tired of all the medical bs the bills the bills did i mention the bills. thank you sandy, i got a strange feeling beckys email to me tonight is gonna say pretty much same thing, get in and get looked at. I am glad to say I have more friends now then I did two years ago, sure i dont have coffee or dinner with these friends but you and jess becky kay trish my vonnie,:) fin barb DM jeannie sally twink, I could keep going and please if i didnt type your name it does not mean i do not hold a place in my heart for you,cause I do, everyone here kitty renee, you all mean so very much to me, you really do all of you, kind of afraid its actually bad timing and it is my back on top of other two issues, I am in no position for back surgery, right now, and SAndy if you would be so kind to explain to Deb this tornado protection move you put on jim I would like for her to try that here. lol yeah right she was first one dressed and ready for the house to be blown away last night, she has been through a few too many like last night, down where nae nae is, so she has reason to be scared. Everyone I promise i will do something, lol more than likely soon too .

Seriously i will get in tonight or tomorrow to ER, I would not want to cause anyone pain here at home or here at NT, thank you sandy:hug: and everyone else:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::group hug:

weegot5kiz 08-05-2008 04:47 PM

sarah i dont think doc gave you or pharmacy gave you a medra pak of steroids for ms... 20's and 10's are for chest pain and opening of the lungs to ease said pains

the medra paks are in 8 and 16 mg dose's

so wth is an endofcryingoutloudist

Kitty 08-05-2008 05:08 PM

Frank - Please go to the ER. Sandy is right....it's nothing to mess around with.

Trish - I'm praying for your daughter. I hope everything turns out good. I know how exhausting it is to sit and wait at the ER for answers. Everything moves in slow motion there when it's your loved one. :hug:

My cable keeps going out so I'm going to post this before it goes out again!!

weegot5kiz 08-05-2008 05:14 PM

yeah Kelly i am sitting here hoping she post something positive soon, trish just went through this about 6 weeks ago or so, same daughter I think, praying she is ok and its just heat related. Trish and DD:hug:

weegot5kiz 08-05-2008 05:23 PM

hmmm deb just informed me we had an F2 hit within 6-8 miles of us hmmmm knew it got a bit breezy last night.

sabimax 08-05-2008 05:33 PM

funny frank, the pharmacy goofed up...the meds...suppose to have a vile of 10mg ones and a vile of 2mg ones....so that first two days I take 30mg..which I did, and next two days 20mg, which was done..now two days of 10mg..but then 2 days of 5mg..and then continue to take 2mg daily for a while I guess....

but the pharmacy, goofed..as they gave me the 10s (which was enough in it for the use for 30mg days and 20mg days and 10mg days) but then they gave me a vile of 20mg ones instead of 2mg ones...duhhhh good thing I am smart enough to not end up taking 20mg daily for month....:eek:

they will remake script and give it to me free...(of course since they goofed...)
finding only side effect for me with prednisone is, facial hot and flushing..I look like a blushing bride or preggo...with red cheeks...hehe

anyhow, not sure what the endowhatevermacallit is....but think from what I read about hormones....they check on thijngs like thyroid, diabetes, and anything hormone related..like for ppl who cant get preggo...we know taht isnt why I am going hahaahahaa as we have five kids..and have had the six total..haha....

I guess she said to look into my thryroid deeper, (but I passed the regular thyroid workup... and then she mentioned checking my hormones...lady hormones....)

do you think my drs are on track lmao....

frank go to the ER...tonight hun...thanks so much..

hugsss all, my face is so hot....

well got laundry and stuff to do...next couple days will be busy getting things ready for vacation...

oh vacation is going to be hot..well hot/cold...see my inlaws keep A/c running really rather cool....so that feels good..but sometimes I think worse for when you get out to the heat....oh if I hang out anywhere much..I might just need the ER too....really...hugssss,sarah

sabimax 08-05-2008 05:35 PM

oh dear Frank, remember the doc didnt give me prednisone for MS...as no dx....they gave it to me to see if helps calm down my sxs of whatever the heck I have..for 8 years....uggg drs...hugsss,sarah

tkrik 08-05-2008 05:59 PM

Oh My Goodness!!! We are all falling apart. lol.

Frank - Definitely get in to see some one soon!!!! Promise us that. Don't mess around with it. Additionally, bring Deb with you as your advocate. Very important. This past Sunday, I spent a few hours in the ER myself. I hate going, literally hate it. My bladder was in such a tight spasm and the frequency was well, I was going all the time. Long story shot, I am now on meds to calm the bladder down. They did think I had diverticulitis. It is a good thing I didn't take 2 Vicodin's while there. I told them that I had NO symptoms of diverticulitis and if I didn't have renal colic, kidney infection, or a bladder infection it was possibly female in nature. Needless to say, I left with out the CT scan. Went to my PCP the next day who actually touched my stomach and did a complete exam. Sure enough, my bladder is irritated as heck. (Possible interstitial cystitis).

Therefore, take Deb with you to fight for you.

Sarah - UGGGGGGGHHHHH! Hope it gets worked out.

UPDATE:
DD16 is happily sleeping on the couch doped up on Antivert and Valium. She has been referred to a Vertigo Clinic here in town that has been successful in treating vertigo by manipulation of the head in a certain way to get the stone back in place. I am hoping this works for her.

The good news is that her neurological exam was normal. I was so relieved.

In the meantime, we are treating it as vertigo and she will also follow up with her primary.

I have been going back and forth with the state regarding the insurance issue. One of the directors called me a little bit ago and as we were talking, they found even more mistakes. She is going to call me back. What a mess.

Joelle - I may be joining you in that B court if this continues. The state is saying that KidsCare does not retro anything from the date of application to the date of approval. Therefore, if she ends up on the program, they won't pay for today's visit. There goes another $2,000 +.

OK, not going in to that. DD16 is doing better now but will be on Valium for a few days - Yup, we are going to have many entertaining moments around here. Remember - Stressed spelled backwards is desserts - Valium induced statement from DD16's last ER visit. lol

my update, looks like the temporary bridge washed OUT again, whoopsie-daisy !!

http://www.kodakgallery.com/AlbumMen...5_884056449208

the Kendal Bridge was wiped out in Tropical Storm Arthur, and we were supposed to get a REAL replacement, but it hasn't happened yet...

so, some locals put in a "temp" with rocks and culverts, but... it's been STORMING here again, and.. bye bye bridgie !!

so, locals are boating people and their groceries across now, sheesh !!

tkrik 08-05-2008 06:01 PM

BTW - I forgot to thank you all for the prayers. Thank you so much.

Kitty 08-05-2008 06:29 PM

Trish, I'm glad ya'll are back home. Never a dull moment, huh?! Hopefully the clinic will be able to help her. I'm so relieved the neuro tests came back good....I know that's always in the back of our minds when it's something to do with our kids.

I'll keep her (and you) in my prayers that she's all better real soon. :hug:

FinLady 08-05-2008 06:32 PM

Frank, hope you listened and got checked out. :hug:

TK, glad DD's neuro exam was ok. Hope the new place can help her out. :hug:

Good and bad news following the art gallery

Bad news is of course they won't show my stuff at this point in time. :( It's too close to another artist's work they are showing in this time period. He didn't realize it, and sounded really disappointed I hadn't gotten there first.

Good news is that he does want to meet with me again later in the year when they do another round of showings. :) He encouraged me to keep trying the other galleries in the area and that I did have talent.

So bitter sweet. Got a list of some other places that encourage emerging artists, so crossing fingers.

Jodylee 08-05-2008 08:57 PM

Hi all :) Frank-Get your butt to the hospital! Yeah, I'm bein' bossy :wink: But only because I care :). Tricia- I hope you and DD get some real answers soon. I'm really happy about her neuro exam :). Don't worry about the bills right now..... :hug:

weegot5kiz 08-05-2008 09:21 PM

Trish I am glad the neuro part went well I hope she gets to feeling stable real soon and this is for you:hug: breath deep exhale.......

First let me apologize for my ignorance at taking certain pains lightly, it was foolish, to say the least. And it wasn't really nice of me to, take everyones friendship so lightly, sometimes i can get down about all this and not really give a rats patuttie about whats up with me and thats not fair to my family nor my friends and those who care about me, for this I apologize to all of you, for my ignorance in ignoring my ailments.

That being said lets talk about these over paid half wits they got around here at ER
I went in they checked my fluids and say no to kidney yes to uti No to any bulged disc and yes its back pain yet its over my kidney:Bang-Head: and keeps moving around out to my side??? again :Bang-Head: we stopped going to local hospitals ER cause, well honestly they suck, so we went to their outreach ER system, guess what that apple didn't fall far from the tree. again I reiterate:Bang-Head: the 60 mg of toroidal(sp?) it is easing it a bit, you know we are gonna have to pay twice for this I'll wager. cause, my instincts tell me its a stone moving around, I didn't do anything to injure my back or pop a disc and it also started around the time of UTI :Bang-Head: ugh argh ughhhh

sorry don't mean to vent its so frustrating, lately the docs personnel and all, you say you have MS they look at you like they are about to shut the coffin, or they ignore it completely when making a DX on what is going on with me, I will call nero the neuro tomorrow and let him know maybe, it isn't a stone maybe its a MS thingy this last relapse attacked my right side and this is also right sided, I am so confused, I need chocolate lol what I could go for is a Big hot cheesy garlic beef sandwich, hope im not the only one hungry now:Bang-Head:

thank you everyone

I hope you all have a peaceful evening

Sandy how was the movie

Vonn how was the sunset

Kay you got that ark built?

Sarah hope you are ok stay cool, funny you dont have MSdx yet they are treating SX with what they would use if you have MS, good luck with that one maybe you can use this fact as ammo to get the doc to make the call of whats what,

I sure hope Barb left this morning and not last night, been worried anyone know when she planned to leave out?

Fin howdy howdy bittersweet yes but promising congrats still

Kelly good evening

Trish try to rest and relax tonight

Renee I hope you are able to stay cool don't you have a second interview coming up? if so knock em dead

I am so far behind on everyone lately or least i feel like I am

Vonn07 08-05-2008 09:50 PM

hey Frank - ole buddy, ole pal ... you ain't behind ... from the sounds of it, you'd better be runnin' for the hills ... because, because, because, because, BE-CCCCAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUSE!!

that has to hurt ... I love cran-raspberry juice .... and I remember my mom *religiously* drank a simple 8oz glass (CRANBERRY) everyday since the birth of my brother because of a UTI ... and never had one after that .. but, each body regulates itself differently ...

I just wanted to play doctor ... :doctor:

Jenn - sorry about your art gallery/showing ... get back there then for the next season!! even try the library ... and write letters to the small town libraries for them to promote Ohio-artists ... you never know what you can come across (yes, I'm preaching to the preacher too!)

Michalangelo didn't sit around - he went over to the church and painted the ceiling ... now THAT had to be quite a selling option! you go girl!! :Painter:

sabimax 08-05-2008 10:07 PM

nt all..
Frank, sorry about the ER visit....these drs...ugggg yes isnt it funny how since I have had these sxs..they have put me on prednisone twice, and now neurontin for the nerve pain....although the neuros say not neurological...so why would my primary dr and I think it could be nerve pain hehehehe

hugsssss and nt to all, sarah

SandyC 08-05-2008 10:13 PM

The movie was very good and amazing in Imax! I actually felt sick to my stomach watching some of the city scenes. It was like I was soaring and gliding in and over the city! I will say the hype was over rated. It was good but not as good as I thought it would be. I went in expecting to be blown away but alas I wasn't, just amused. Keith Ledger was amazing! The guy who played Batman wasn't as sexy as he should have been. lol Ledger was kind of hot in a bad guy kind of way. lmao

Frank, thank you for at least going. I know all too well how you feel about having ms and getting that kind of treatment. That's kind of how we feel about Jim's urology problems. :hug:

Trish, glad dd is home and mending. That had to scare you so much. Your a good momma to be so concerned. :hug:

Sarah, sorry they screwed up your meds. I'd ask them to give you the rest for free.

Jenn, I'm so sorry about the show. At least he wants you in the future though! Whoohoo!

Ok, off to get Jim in bed. I have a doctors appointment in the morning. I shouldn't have ate that candy at the movies! :grouphug:

Oh and Frank? Have Deb sit next to you on the bed and then have her lay completely over you cradling your head in her arms.

*get your mind out of the gutter Frank!* :p

Fin - Try office buildings as well. Many buy them to decorate their lobbies, hallways, etc. You'll get there. I know you will as you have the talent.

Frank - Glad you got it checked. I do hope you feel better soon and nero the neuro can help you out tomorrow. You are going tomorrow right?

I totally GET you on that one, Frankie-me-boyo !!

they either know a little bit (about RARE aggressive form of MS)

or they know "too much" (about so-and-so, who has MS, but looks so good, and is doing SO well !!)

and in their ignorance of the PLETHORA of stages and forms that MS can take, seek to judge you based on their limited knowledge.

that drives me friggin' NUTZOID...

I sure hope you feel better soon, Frank, and hope you're able to get some COHERENT answers !!

Kay you got that ark built?
nope, God hasn't sent me any construction plans... I'm pretty sure that might have a wee bit to do with my sinful past.

BUT... the animal hurricane shelter's almost done!

they're plastering the outside walls now (well, not RIGHT now, it's dark outside, lol, I meant this week...)

our neighbors brought us a rescued baby Heron to nurse back to health, and we're trying to arrange a slot at our friends' Parrot Rescue and Rehab place...

Cero and Eberaldo saved the baby birdie from a dog that had caught and injured it... it's now curled up in our tiny fenced & covered herb garden, with water, and chicken starter mash...

no answer to my email yet, cross your fingers, it's a really beautiful little bird, about 9 inches tall, and not fledged yet, just barely starting to grow feathers... and my friends do really good work with birds (owls, cockatoos, parrots, etc.) so I'm hoping they have room.

:hug:

sabimax 08-06-2008 04:33 AM

Jodylee 08-06-2008 05:58 AM

Good morning all :Wave-Hello:.

Frank- So glad you went to the er but sorry you got the same old crappy song and dance :(.

Sandy- I totally agree about the movie. It always seems like when you hear that a movie is fantastic you have really high expectations and then it's a little bit of a let down. I agree about Heath Ledger too; we just love those bad boys :p!

I made it through the attorney appointment without a scratch :rolleyes:. We gotta go back though in a week and a half with more paper work :(. I just cannot wait until it's all over with.

NaeNae 08-06-2008 07:44 AM

Going in for the big interview number 2 today!!!! Keep yalls fingers crossed!

Jodylee 08-06-2008 08:00 AM

My fingers are crossed Renee :). You'll do great :hug:'s

CayoKay 08-06-2008 08:51 AM

you GO, NaeNae-girl !!

knock their SOCKS off !!

:D

FinLady 08-06-2008 10:19 AM

Renee, good luck with the interview.

Frank, Sorry to hear about the same old situation at the ER :( Hope things get better soon.

Sarah, Hope you have fun during you time off from work. :cool:

Sandy, We saw that movie too. We thought it should've been called "The Joker" with batman as a sidecast, LOL. Heath does still the spotlight from everyone else.

Vonn, LOL. I think a ceiling would be a little big for me. Who would have that kind of time anymore? :D But thanks for the other ideas.

Joelle, I hate paperwork. Isn't it funny in this "paperless" society that they still require hard copies be held for certain things, LOL. Hang in there!

Kay, I love Herons! I hope your friends have room for it.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning all.
Thanks for your words of encouragement everyone.:icon_redface: :grouphug: It means a lot.
Woke up late today. Hmm. Tying oneself into knots takes a lot out of a person, LOL. :D
Gonna try to take it easy today and do some little stuff that just needs done. Hopefully my usual morning java will help with that. :)
Have a great day all! You're the best! :grouphug:
JustWeave 08-06-2008 10:29 AM
Trying to get catch-up on all the news around here then dashing off to today's home executive work. Hugs all around. ER trips? :mad: Job interview? Knock 'em dead!:D
SandyC 08-06-2008 10:38 AM
Hey all! How's everyone doing today? Jim's tired and can't seem to stay awake. I will be glad when the 70 degree weather gets here. The spasms are waking him up and me too. I told him this morning to stick a frickin' quarter in his belly button and look out! We both laughed and fell back alseep. lmao
I had my three month check up today and looks like I'm doing just fine. I'll get the blood work results tomorrow. He was concerned that my brother having a heart blockage in his late 30's and my mom and dad having heart attacks at the age of 49 puts me at a high risk. He said we must watch the cholesterol very closely since I am at a very high risk and told me to take an aspirin everyday. I told him I already do. lol He said he would expect a blockage after the age of 50 but not before that and it is concerning to him. He said even 50 is pushing it.
I also asked him about all the hype about Vitorin and he said he takes it and would not give his patients anything he wouldn't take so I felt better about that.
Overall, good appointment. :)
Have a good day everyone!
Renee, good luck my friend! :D You'll do just fine!
Joelle, my mom had to do that twice and she said it was hard both times. :(
:grouphug:
weegot5kiz 08-06-2008 01:27 PM
good afternoon all
nae nae kick some....... you'll do fine
sandy glad all is well with you hope you keep a good eye on the heart, sorry Jim is having a rough go, I hope he feels better real soon
