Sandy that is cool! I have thought of asking DBF to help me build one out of metal (then I get to weld.:D Haven't done that in a while). I love your idea of it being on wheels so that you can move it around easily. You'll have to post a picture of it when it is done. I'd love to see it.

Sandy- fired doc/new doc and mom
NaeNae- Follow your gut and you will be fine. Bottom line is, everyone here wants you and your kids to be happy and safe. We are here for you no matter what. :grouphug: to everyone else. My update- Had fun yesterday just hanging out with DD before she left for Mexico. She rolled off the church parking lot about 3:30 AM as tired parents stumbled back to their cars and back to bed. DD was too excited to sleep before leaving and I was too. The internet says her plane arrived safely so now I am waiting for a quick phone call from her to say they are safely at their final destination. I truly appreciate the prayer support. Did some weeding this morning. I feel a nap coming on. Hope DD got some sleep. |
lol kay has the floor dried yet, my kids do that all the time and i tell them start here end here, and do they noooooooooooooo, they have gone out the back door to get back to the living room out front a few times too many
Weave hang in there I know nothing we can say will ease your worries, you are a caring parent, like i said yesterday,I hope that this is an eye awakening expirence, that will help mold her for adulthood, hang in there mom  sandy you paint too, would like to see some of them if you wouldnt mind you can send it PM if you are not up to public viewing, I have seen some of TKS and they are really good peace |
Ok, I uploaded a small sample of the work I have done. You'll see graphic design, pencil, charcoal, mixed medium and photography. There are no paintings but will be once I get my studio up and running. Let me know what you guys think!
|
Howdy all :) Did some running around today, and took a nap afterwards. My super hubby brought me home starbuck's on his way home from work, so very happy right now.
I'm just starting to get new ideas to paint, but haven't felt like climbing the stairs to my makeshift art area. Maybe this weekend. :) Have a good one all :grouphug: |

I have a ton of hand drawings but couldn't possibly put them all on here! lol I am a darker type artist who loves cemetaries and weird art. Could you tell? lol Did you notice the two painting that were done with Tums? You read that right, Tums.
|
I love cemeteries too!!! There is a certain beauty to them that is unexplainable. Your photos captured that. On SuzyQ's site she has some cool cemetery pictures too.
The Tums were very creative. I never would have thought of that and they gave the pictures a really neat effect. It got me thinking . . .what effect would paint, baking soda, and vinegar have. |
I say go for it! All I did with the tums was mix them with water. I have an entire series in addition to the two you see. It was based on my pregnancy and losing my first child. I wanted to paint with something that was related to the pregnancy and I chose Tums because I was eating them like crazy. I know weird right? I am always looking for things around the house to paint and work with.

Sandy - I do that too. The one I am painting today . . .Last night, I went through the drawers in the kitchen looking for things to make interesting designs/textures. I ended up using a swirly plastic staw, a baby spoon (I used it when babysitting my niece and nephews when they were younger.), and the wooden fork thing from a Chinese takeout restaurant. I used them to create the design in the modeling paste and let it dry over night.
Today I painted it in pretty blues and greens with gold accents. |

I hope you feel better Trish. |
Sandy I love your work, and your photos I love working in black and white it adds a different perspective to the photos, matter of fact, we threw away an old hutch and my forgotten camera, and my old box camera and a couple other antique cameras and all my newer cannon camera and toys was in a cabinet and deb was bugging me to get it all up and running again I love photo art, winter scenes in black and white or the cementary angels those were awesome. I loved the shot of the girl holding her head with flowers that was beautiful
I have used a few diff items, shooting pictures through a binocular makes a reverse fish eye effect, shot shots off mirrors to peak inside bird nest all my filters i love working with sepia(sp?) filters too. I had a few friends call me a liar once with a shot down in Mesa and Tk can vouch for this the dry desert air the sunsets and especially the sunrise can be so awesome and colorful I have a picture of the desert and the air was orange, they all said i had to of used a filter i had to swear on my nanas grave b4 they believed me, it is a totally awesome pic, I need to find some of my old photos, packed away somewhere in garage, I have lost a lot over the years some really awesome shots, maybe I will get things working again might even help mentally too, All of you artisians on here have been slowly waking a part of me, since becoming a sole parent, had gone dormant thank you |

except... wait... "What's that SMELL, honey ??" (*sniffy-sniff-sniff*) Kay tracks the odor to the incubator on a shelf by the bathroom... ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.... Kay calls hubby to deal with problem: "Don't open it honey... just take the whole thing... " ooops, too late !! a horrific stench pervades the room, and I contemplate surreptitiously adding something special to his dessert tonight, like, maybe Ex-Lax in the brownies, for punishment... argh !! :D |
I know what you mean Frank! I am so inspired I had to put it on my mood. lol I can't wait to see your pics if you find them. I am sorry you lost your cameras. I had an old Minolta we lost when we moved and I can't find it either. I took those pics with it. I had the close up lens and filters too. Someday I hope it will show up. Digital pics are nice but I am having a hard time getting the filters and clos up lens to work with it.

Hey all,
Starbucks...naaaa I am about to brew some Dunkin Donut coffee...mmmmm Well, eating blueberrys here, just chilling...and I am feeling quite good...not loopy, not drunk feeling, just good...it even just rained heavy...adn I was only a bit tingling....and when It rains as it did...poured..a tree is down, next door....I am usually TINGLING painfully a LOT!! So be it luck or it is the neurontin helping the nerve pain I get :):):):):) yeahhhhhhhhhh the wrist and ankles are sore, but thought that they would be...since that isnt really nerve pain...but think they are on the mend ...although my right wrist is still rather sore...so I am keeping the apt next week anyhow.... I have taken two so far today, and might even go for the third before bed....I was surprised I was started on three 300mg dosage...as even the pharmacist asked me if I have tried the 100mg three times a day dosage...and I havent... anyhow, only downfall is, I probably shouldnt drink wine coolers with the meds huh...hehehehee Frank, thanks for the tips...for about 4 years I have always kept the notepad in my pocket, I am always writing myself reminders...then at end of shift I take that...see if anything is DO NOW>...or if not...then when home I make a new list of things to accomplish or whatever to do lists..for next day...or week.....but still having more issues than ever before. We will just keep truckin along..unless really starts affecting my work I guess. Hugsss all, gotta go..snuggle the kiddos...and play, hugsss, sarah(feeling a bit lightheaded now that said no side effects so far...also felt nausea at work today for a few moments..but it passed quick lucky) hugsssss,,sarah |
Sarah I am so happy your not in as much pain! Whoohooo! I say go for the third one if you feel like it. Wine coolers? Maybe one should be OK. lol
|
ohh Sandy said one wine cooler hehehee...I read the info online aobut the meds...it only said to avoid alcohol...as it may add to the loopiness.....hahahaa
hugssss,sarah |
sarah glad you are feeling better and sounding better... pst i agree with you dunkin all the way, we grind our own beans of it every single day, drives my neighbor nuts when she can smell it brewing she cant have it anymore
kay call me an idiot i didnt get that maybe pm me it ive read it three times, someone forgot about an animal in the incubator? if so I am sorry about that, if not, then i reiterate call me an idiot lol, hope your are able to relax the rest of your day:hug: |
OK I know yall are so over hearing this.....I got another Dear John email today from hubby...this time I am seriously well and truly done.
|
Im sorry Renee, I really am, i know how much spirit and love and soul and heart you are trying with and opening up to him with:hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug:: hug::hug::hug::hug::hug:
|
Renee, head up. He's losing out. I am not surprised but still sad for you. Goodness, that #$@&&$! is a loser and he doesn't deserve you ever! Come here
|
Yeah Sarah - I am glad to hear that the Neurontin is possibly working for you. Is the ankle pain possibly from spasticity? I get that often due to spasticity. Sometimes it is bad enough where my ankle turns in and gets stuck.:eek: That kind of pain the Neurontin doesn't do much for.
Kay - YUCK!!!! I am sure that is not a pretty smell. There is a name for this but I just can't think of it right now. They are popular here in the Hispanic areas. They are an hollowed out, decorated egg filled with confetti. You crack them open and the confetti goes everywhere. DDs made them once at a friends house. We never cracked them open, just used them for decorations. After a while my house started smelling and I couldn't figure out what it was. When I went to dust, I noticed bugs around this thing and as I got closer, I figured out what that smell was. It was horrible! No more of those things in this house. lol NaeNae - We love you!!!!! Hang in there. Saying prayers for your wounded heart.:( Frank -Finding a hobby or picking one back up is so helpful. I too love black and white photos. They are my favorite. I have an album on here of DDs photography. She did some really cool black and whites. I love the one of the motorcycle and another one I can't think of right now. Geeze, give me a break - I haven't napped today. lol Her camera broke and she is just beside herself right now. The actual lens broke. Her camera goes everywhere with her - kind of like a man with his remote or Sandy with her Wii remote lol. We are going to try to find a used one for her before she starts college in a few weeks. She is taking a photography class so we need to get cracking on that. Pawn shops here we come. :D |
Frank, Chris and Jim are cracking up that you called Nik. lmao
|
I was so nervous, i didnt do it right should of called and said " yo nik mom wants some coffee bring one home for her" and then hang up

Just in case Nik doesn't pull through . . .Here you go Sandy . . . Careful, it's hot.

That snot just came in and acted like he didn't get me a Starbucks! I told him you called and told him to get me one. He was laughing as I listened to his message and then he went out and got my Starbucks out of the car. lol
Nice voice Frank. |

|
Dang Frank! Some influence you have there. PMing you a bunch of numbers right now. lol I'm thinking Panda Express sounds great right now - sending you DD16's number. lol
No, we are heading out soon to go to DBF's for the weekend. I so need that. I think the fatigue and weakness have eased enough that I will be comfortable out there and maybe help him out a bit. (I say out there as it is on the other side of town - 30 minute drive, mostly highway). He is also going to be helping me with stretching canvas as well as some laundry.;) He does the carrying, I do the rest. |
Yes he did Frank...after I asked. lol
|
Oh Nae Nae.....Im so terribly sorry.....youve really given this everything
youve got and you can be proud you did.:( He is the one losing out.. because from here you seem like a true, loving wife and mother.:) May you and your little ones be blessed and may time heal your wounds. Chin up Renee, with your determination youve got a wonderful life ahead of you and your family.:hug::hug::hug: Hello to you all, gotta get back to the Sox and Yankees game, they are losing.:( |

TK,
hey there...yes my ankles in morning usually are achey like they feel they could break ...then when start walking around a bit they loosen up and are fine...but these past few days...they havent worked out to the fine part during day...just stayed achey...same with wrists...and the one wrist truely feels that if I am not careful with it...something could snap....so I skipped golfing now twice:( and also esentually why I called the dr office....but dont go in till next friday... but the neurontin is helping the stiffness stuff (maybe spasticity) and the tingling pain I usually get often...yeahhhhh Nae Nae, HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS and more HUGSSsss sorry, but one good think if you realize it now, and not get together for while then it starts....maybe better overall....plus as Sandy said he is the one losing out...totally losing out on a good thing..hugssssssssssss Anyhow...I didnt have a wine cooler..hehe had dinner with the kids...had some blueberrys to snack on...now having a bit of that DD coffee..since we talked about it..I had to brew some hehehehehehe hugss to all, and to all a good night, hehe, luv, sarah |

:D we'd never forget a baby bird... they're too noisy. this was one of a batch of eggs given to us by a neighbor to incubate... we put them in last week, and fired it up, on the shelf behind mi esposo's desk. 21 days in the little styrofoam thingie, and baby chickies hatch. well, one of the eggs Elito brought was ROTTEN. like, sulfurous, stinky, bad, smelly, disgusting, gross, and awfully horrid-smelling. "Last one in's a rotten EGG !!" http://everything2.com/?node_id=1720003 :p |
Quote:
usually, it only lasts for a short while, but when I'm coming down with a bug, it can last for half an hour or more, ugh !! happens when I sit too long at the desk too... so, I go and lay on the bed, on my back, with a strategically-placed pillow, and put my legs up in the air, and gently stretch my legs, alternately pointing my toes, and stretching my calves... that helps the stiff and achey fade faster, I think. if it's really bad, sometimes a warm shower loosens things up. hugs to you, dear, and have fun with the kiddos... every time I read your posts, I miss snuggling my wee ones. but they're all TALLER than me now (29, 25, and 24), and far away... :sigh: so, treasure your snuggles, dear... |

Thanks Cayo for the leg tips...yes usually goes away once I get downstairs and walk about a bit...but lately stiff and achey for a while...some even thru work....thanks for the stretchin ideas.....:)
funny, anytime I mention sxs of mine..so many here relate....but hey neuros say not neurological...hehehe and every darn dr I have had otherwise...be it a ENT, a neuropyschologist, a PT, a pcp....all will ask, hey have you seen a neuro..or hey have you been tested for MS.....oh well... hugssss, sarah |
well, Sarah, I was told that it was all in my head, and that I should get some counselling, and that reading about MS was causing me to HAVE the symptoms I was reading about.
that was from 1988 to 1992... and the doctor's attitude and opinion kept me from diagnosis and treatment for five years. five years of mysterious sx and worries was no fun, but honestly, when I finally got my dx, I was RELIEVED to learn that I really did have MS, and wasn't off my rocker. strange how that works, eh? so, what are they thinking now with you? fibromyalgia? vitamin B deficiency? Lyme? sorry I forget with all this cogfog... :p:o:p |
