Frank...after reading your few updates throughout the night I'd say you better simmer down and fly right. Coding is not cool. They need to figure out what's going on and get it fixed. Before you leave the hospital!!

Please take care and follow the doctor's orders. Sorry for all the noise (and your idiotic roommate )....so get better quicker so you can go home!! :D

weegot5kiz 10-21-2008 07:07 AM

think this might border on rabies :yahoo:

hollym 10-21-2008 07:14 AM

Well, Frank, you take care of yourself. I'm glad you are OK enough to post and keep your sense of humor and sarcastic wit. Keep that attitude and you will be fine! Now get better.

weegot5kiz 10-21-2008 07:22 AM

my wit is gonna get me a double smack

weegot5kiz 10-21-2008 07:57 AM

havent slept chest still hurts no more blood, which is good, coughing is not nice when it starts, and as far as my sarcastic wit, I already told deb even when I am gone, and they are viewing I want my arm in a position and my finger hooked so when yall bend to pray or cuss, my crooked fingers snags you blouse tops:yikes:

Well I managed to get everything done on yesterday's to do list before falling into bed last night. :) Today's list includes some clothes shopping for the kids, and decluttering another section of the current room I'm working on. Ugh and double ugh. Better get moving. Ugh.

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

Frank, totally understand that. I hate hospitals and I've always felt nutty when I had to stay in one. Sorry you had to get the one clueless guy on the floor as your roommate.

Sorry it's been a scarey time for you and Deb. Take care of yourselves. Still praying for you guys.

tkrik 10-21-2008 08:47 AM

Frank - Hang in there and get better soon!!! I hope you are resting now and your sweet roomie stopped snoring. Saying prayers for you that you heal and get better soon.

Hi everyone else! Hope you all are doing well.

It's been so crazy around here lately and by the time I come on here I am too fatigued to even think straight and post.

I got a couple more paintings finished, got Mt. St. Laundry done, closets cleaned out, etc. Phew! Thanks to the MS, it has only taken me over a week to accomplish the big clean out of the closets.

Yesterday morning, I noticed the wall by my dishwasher bubbling a bit. Now, I had to sit here and think . . ."Has it always been like that?" LOL So I ran the dishwasher then while it was mid cycle I got on the floor to see if I could see any water. Sure enough, there is a leak. UGH!!! The great thing about living in an apartment is you just call the office and it's taken care of. I will have a new dishwasher by tomorrow.

I got financial aid applications (my part - DDs did their part) done for each daughter (did one for dd17 just in case she wants to go to summer school). Our estimated family contribution was $0.00! Yahoo! Both girls will get the full Pell Grant for school. What a relief! We still have the state grant program to apply for but DDs need to do their part.

FinLady 10-21-2008 08:50 AM

Trish, that's great that they get the full Pell Grant! Glad things are looking up for your DD's. :)

Vonn07 10-21-2008 10:31 AM

well, well, well ... you're not stubborn like I am? are you, Frank?? oh, that's right - we're strong-willed ... no throwing stuff at your snoring-roomy! being related to my family - there is no sympathy or concern ... that's why I have a hard time with my sx and spending time with family ... getting picked on all my life, why should it change even when I'm sick (don't do that right either!) LOL

so, Frank, being picked on ... you're loved ... but, apparently according to all the posts .. YOU are picking on everyone! *tsk tsk* ... ah, whatever makes you feel good! *maybe we can get some of those palm leaves and fan ya!*

how's our swamp-momma, Kay-girl??

Sarah - hope they learn something by going to a specialist!

hey Trish - those of us from the nort-woods uses alot of duct-tape! (come-on, I bet Sandy does too!)

well, today ... nothing much, just quilting ... run an errand later ... whoo-hoo ...

p.s. I betcha Frank will play games all day!

SandyC 10-21-2008 10:38 AM

Frank, stop it right now! Bite me! Get better! Throw your jello cup at the other guy and claim it slipped off your tray!

No coding! I had to give Jim's last wishes when he was going down and it's not fun at all. Please stop this mess right now. I knew we should have come up yesterday. Listen, we're coming Thursday if your still in the pen so get ready. Did you see the masks Jim and I will be wearing? lol

CayoKay 10-21-2008 10:55 AM

YAY Trish and DD's !!

and YAY for Pell Grants (that's how two of mine did it.)

Frank, behave!

me, I'm about to venture FORTH into the world, we heard there IS a way out, but it's gonna be 4WD.

we HAVE to get animal feed, used the last bits this morning.

cross yer fingies, kiddies !!

Use duct tape for DDs? LOL Hey, since both were hormonal and snappy last night, that may have been a good idea. I don't know how many times I had to give gentle reminders of "Be nice" or "Rephrase that in a kinder way" last night. LOL

tkrik 10-21-2008 11:04 AM

Kay - I have complete faith in you and DH to be able to make it out. You both are survivalists and will do just fine. Check in when you get back.

Vonn07 10-21-2008 11:12 AM

funny, Trish ... I *was* referring to duct-taping your dishwasher!

LOL I know what you meant. Of course living in an apartment I don't have to worry as they take care of everything including replacing the baseboard that is so water logged and damaged, the drywall and repainting as well as the dishwasher. But, if this were my place, duct tape would certainly work just fine.:p (I think - the pump broke and that is why it is leaking water)

FinLady 10-21-2008 11:34 AM

all we need is duct tape and WD40, LOL :D

SandyC 10-21-2008 11:39 AM

Duct tape is my friend and we have a good relationship.

Jenn .. there IS a book about survival ... I think of the old guy walking around with a little can of oil and just a drop to stop squeaking of a fence, a bike ... and he was a blessing!! it's all the simple, fun things that can bring a smile to a face!

Sandy - duct-tape now comes in many colors ... (Red Green is my hero!)

tkrik 10-21-2008 11:45 AM

Sandy - Maybe you could bring some duct tape to Frank when you get together. He could use it on annoying hospital roomies that snore and keep him awake. LOL.

SandyC 10-21-2008 11:52 AM

I have it in my purse. lol

Vonn07 10-21-2008 11:54 AM

LOL wouldn't that be cute ... a bouquet of floral duct-tape!

Debbie D 10-21-2008 12:26 PM

Frank, Frank, Frank...are you acting a bit cranky? Just 'cause you're sick?:nopity:
Snap out of it!!:deadhorsebeat:

Seriously, you need to rest so that your lungs can get healthy again...get off of the computer and sleep. If it's too noisy to sleep, ask for some meds to get you to sleep...
hope that you turn the corner soon, and you're home with your Deb very soon...be a good patient...and know that we're praying for you!:smileypray::grouphug:

DM 10-21-2008 12:54 PM

Holy Cow Franko!!! Talk about a scare!! I sure hope you can get some relief today. As for the ''noisy'' roommate? If you can't sleep and the Dr orders it, you can get a private room w/o ins being billed for one. When my Mom was in the hosp for pneumonia, her roommate was a pill and had so much company, that the Dr put Mother in a private room w/o charging for it.

Now, behave yourself and try and get some much needed rest.

Even as sick as you are, I'm lmao at your posts. Bad Frank!!

Take care Deb~

CayoKay 10-21-2008 02:22 PM

I'm back!

we MADE it!!

the road from the Guatemala border has a broken bridge, and dozens of trucks are delayed there... unable to get across.

so most market vendors were unable to restock their vegetable stands with imports, and the local farmers are unable to get in from their farms due to washouts, missing bridges, and toasted roads.

we were HAPPY to get enough lettuce and cabbage and celery to tide us over until the Friday Market Day, IF I use it sparingly!

************************************************** *****

Frank, howya DOIN' dude?

I had a hard time getting to sleep last night, worrying about you.

you can ask for eyeshades and earplugs to help you get some critically-needed rest...

DON'T be shy!

:grouphug::hug::grouphug:

we're all pullin' for ya, and prayin'

:hug::grouphug::hug:

sabimax 10-21-2008 02:50 PM

hey all....hugsssss

just chilling after working, sundays long day is catching up with me...very worn out...I want to get started though on finally FINALLY going thru my room of clothes..so I can walk in and out of my room...also lots of kids clothes we have to go thru and sort....

fun...

I go to the endocrinologist..on thursday ..hugss,sarah

Kitty 10-21-2008 02:58 PM

Good luck at your appointment, Sarah. I hope they can get to the bottom of your sxs.

I need to go through my closet, too. I keep hanging on to clothes that I know I'll never wear again.....and I start the process of purging and then get tired and quit. Maybe I'll set a goal of 15 minutes each day. Then maybe I can make some progress. What irritates me about this is that I know there are people who can use these clothes and I just need to make myself get in there and go through them. I'm such a procrastinator.

I had a scary incident happen when I went up to Publix this afternoon to pickup a couple of items I forgot yesterday. Matt is aware of it and is, right now, ticked off at me for my "lack of good judgment". I'll post about it later.....it's really rattled me and makes me uneasy to even go to the store alone anymore. Not like I have much of a choice unless I want to be a hermit....and I don't!! :(

FinLady 10-21-2008 03:01 PM

Ugh! Who is that murphey and how do I get him to rescind that law of his? :D

Have a part in my vehicle that went wonky. So sent it to the shop to get checked out. Appears to be a common problem, but not so much for a recall to have been done. The labor for it is way more than the cost of the part!

Of course this issue happens a few months after my warrenty ran out. And of course this happens to the only vehicle I can drive.

Hmmm. Maybe I should just get some duct tape? :D :D

FinLady 10-21-2008 03:05 PM

Kay, Glad you guys made it back in one piece. Hope the water goes down enough by Friday.

Sarah, hope the appointment goes well on Thurs.

Kelly, Sorry to hear that you had a scary incident happen when you went to the store.

Kitty 10-21-2008 03:44 PM

What Would You Have Done??

If someone (a woman) approached you in the parking lot and told you that her wallet had been stolen (with $200 in it) in the store and she needed gas money in order to get home. Would you have given her a little bit of money (if you had it) or told her sorry, you cannot help her?

This happened to me today. All I had was $2 in cash so I offered it.

Apparently this woman is a "regular" in this shopping center parking lot and is always asking for money. I've never seen her before. The manager at Publix told me this and also said that she had not had her wallet stolen in his store (I called them once I got home to let them know she was out there).

Matt says that people are desperate and willing to do anything for money. He said she is probably a drug addict. He also said that there have been similar incidents in other areas and people have been stabbed and even had their purses stolen. He said that I should have gotten in my car and left. I know he sees the worst of the worst every day but I still have that stupid naivety that there are still good people out there.

Just for the record....she didn't look like she had gotten a shower in the last few days. She looked very much out of place in this area but.....who am I to judge?

What would ya'll have done? Hindsight is 20/20 so I think I should have probably fibbed, told her I had nothing and hightailed it to my car.

soxmom 10-21-2008 03:53 PM

I think you are a good person Kelly:hug: I probably would have done
the same thing.

Debbie D 10-21-2008 04:08 PM

Kell,
Hindsight always sounds so much more intelligent to our minds...but when we're in the middle of a situation, our hearts speak louder than our minds don't you think?

I guess I would have suggested to the woman that I would go into the store with her to report her wallet stolen. That way, if it was true, you would have known by her willingness to go inside with you. If her story wasn't true, she would have been the one high-tailing it out of there!

Either way, you are one in a million for helping out...:You-Rock:

weegot5kiz 10-21-2008 04:13 PM

I'll be honest - I've done both. It always depended on the situation, and whether or not those hairs on the back of my neck went up. Been through some strange situations in the past, so I trust my instincts when they say something's not right.

It was a nice thing for you to do anyways, Kelli. If she didn't cause alarms to go off for me, I'd have done the same thing.
