I wish you could have a few days off....just to catch your breath and rest a little. I don't know how you do it but I do admire your attitude. Everytime I pass a McDonald's I think of you!! :) Maybe I'll have lunch there today. I haven't had McDonald's in ages and even though it's not quite 7 AM here it sounds pretty good!! I know I'll probably have to catch a nap at some point today, too. Hope everyone has a good Saturday! :grouphug: |
I'm up, too. I found it hard to sleep through crazy cat at 6AM and then DH decided to have a snore fest, so I couldn't go back to sleep.
Sarah - I really feel for you. I am so lucky to have a fantastic MS specialist who treats me and takes care of me even though he says I am atypical and won't give me an official MS dx. He even sent me to a couple of other specialists recently for some additional testing. I'm sorry you don't have a neuro like that for you. For the most part, I can accept my dx even if it means I can't have std. MS treatments. At least I can get the IVSM and sx meds. I was going to type a whole update here about the neuro-opth visit on Thursday, but my arms don't want to. Maybe I will do that later. I have SOOOO much to do this weekend. I guess I'd better just get started. |

I woke up early too! same deal as usual, busy yesterday, got no nap, and crashed out early. all this water has created an epidemic of mosquitos, and I wasn't thinking (tired!), and fed the critters in a T-shirt last night... so I've got about 20 bites on my arms... woke up at 4:45 scratching like an ape... ya know what really CHAPS my hide? the MS has made me NUMB, but darn it and dagnabbit and ptooooey! WHY can I STILL feel the ITCHING !! wah wah wah! it's ain't fair... :o ransacked the medicine chest and cupboard for Benadryl, I just *know* I have some, but I can't find it... :(:mad::( Sarah, you also have my endless admiration, for keeping such a positive attitude, while hunting for your answers, working, and caring for your children... especially with all that's been going on in your life. :hug: Kelly, a burger and fries for breakfast? :D all this talk of Sonic and MickyD's has infiltrated your mind! hope you get to go back and curl up with the kitties... I can't do that, gotta feed the animals in an hour. by the way... It's RAINING here again! glad we got everything we needed from the feed mil yesterday, because the rivers are RISING again! we got extraordinarily lucky here in Belize... the damage to crops and livestock was horrible, like, 13 million dollars, just in this tiny postage-stamp country (Cayo was declared a disaster area) http://www.amandala.com.bz/index.php?id=7601 but Guatemala and Honduras are under a state of *emergency* http://www.amandala.com.bz/index.php?id=7585 they got this Tropical Depression # 16 much worse than we did, poor souls! this wasn't even a Tropical Storm, let alone a hurricane, but the amount of rainfall has been WORSE than any hurricanes in memory, going all the way back to Hattie in 1961. :eek: by the way, we're cut off from the world again. :confused: |
good morning coffee is brewing here got a few hours sleep turned off pc round 4 ish and watched some tv been up a wee bit, so all in all i got me two big hours of sleep, but I napped yesterday, first time in months I napped.

I was planning to sleep in, since DH is w/DS at a convention in Springfield this wkend, but nooooo~ that can't happen. The phone rings early and it's DH~~ Uh, whatcha doin? HUH??? Then, I try to sound like I've been up for a while. I love him to pieces, but he hates to be away. ARGHHH~ Well, yest I met up w/AMN and we hung out at her hotel "suite" and laughed our tails off. Then, we went to Applebees for a steak dinner. We had the cutest waiter that we both were having very "bad" thoughts about and could be jailed for. :D:D We are meeting up today and are going to ....... KA CHING!!!! Can you guess? Sarah~ sorry about your med woes. I went to Mayo/Rochester and it's about a 3-4 day stint of appts. and you stay at a hotel. If you ever go, let me know and I'll give you some info. Kay~ I admire you so much. You are one tough chickie. Did I say "chickie"???? How ya feeling Franko? Hope your'e doing better and that Deb got some much needed rest. Oh, and I like choccy, Kelly! Good morning/afternoon everyone. Nothing planned for the day. Jim and I should have drove up to Toad Hollow to ka-ching our retirement plan. You guys have fun and don't be flirting with the young men in there! I lost my grandma once in a ka-ching institution and when we found her she was surrounded by a group of good looking men laughing and ka-chinging! It made Jim jealous since he lost all his ka-ching and pouted all the way home. We had a good laugh over that. The women came home with ka-ching while he nursed his ego. :D

Sarah - I hope that with all the documentation from the other specialists, your new neuro will take a better look at things than the other neuros you have seen. Consider your trip to the endocrinologist as not wasteful but 1 more bit of documentation that it is neurological. As for the Neurontin, I am at my max. dosage (900 mg. - 1 in the am and 2 at night). The 2 times they wanted me to increase it, I became this emotional mess - crying at the drop of a hat. That is very unlike me. So no more of that. Kay - I hope you get some relief from the rain soon! Vonn - Good luck with starting your new class. We all know you will do just fine. Frank - REST, REST, REST! Forget the going to the store, making candy, etc. You need the rest right now. very good point you made to Sarah yeah it was a drive, a pain but like Trish said it eliminates one more question of possibility Sarah it is a plus for you , I hope you have everything written down like SX and or reactions to daily things heat exhaustion fatigue stress and the SX you are having. and meds and yes and no's of said meds be as prepared and strong minded yes he is the "expert" but you know what you are feeling inside, and the new neuro must and hopefully will understand this aspect I was a bit hesitant on Nero the Neuro, because of a partner in his office was my first and he was so condescending, where as Nero, he is cool. so each doc is diff in their attitudes, be firm and knowledge is your best friend, present your case with facts that he or she wont be able to ignore, if you can I know you got a busy busy life, fingers crossed:hug: |

well frank I do have a lot of it listed...sxs....what affects my body..etc..
I had made it when we travelled 4 hours away to a place called Marshfield...a medical place that I was told does like Mayo...keeps testing to find out something...but travelled all that way with my MRIs and all my info....as you mentioned... then he didnt do any new MRIs or tests...nothing..he just said oh its fibromyalgia....and sent me on my way...then he didnt have that in his report...at all.....:eek: my pcp at time....checked those areas of body that 12 spot thing...with fibro...nothing hurt at all with pressure...so she really doesnt think fibro as much as neurological...(well that waas my old pcp that moved....) but I always wonder what they truely put in reports...as noone that has said to me ..at apts....about it being neurological have actually then had that in the reports....duhhhhh anyhow....wont get worked up...as I do when I get on this subject.....I will see the new neuro in January...with my info and see... thanks all for the support...and yess I loved having this dr say what he said...just kindof expensive though to have been sent there...if he thought they didnt need to at all... hugsss, sarah (gotta get back to the kids..might have to peek into work tonight..check up on one of my managers) |

Anyhoo, hubby is outside working on my car. Fun to listen to him argue with the vehicle or one of the parts. :D Did some cleaning in the garage until hubby sent me in to take a break, lol. I have found I love 50 - 60 degree weather. :circlelove: Wish this would stay longer, and the snow and cold they predict later this week would wait. Hey all, well i am finally finished unpacking, all my stuff is hung on the walls etc. I have no curtains but that will come. I am also having a flare YAY with no ins! Gonna ha ve my dos give me some steroids Mon. Got more bad news my cousin Susan is coming over to hang out tomorrow and talk about MS, seems she has been experiencing numbness in her face and arms....exactly how mine started, she saw a neuro and told him about me and he ordered an MRI for her for next week and she is terrified.

As cold as its getting I may take u up on that Momma that way at least its warmer in GA! I ordered some fabric from MOOD for my curtains just waiting on it to get here so my real momma LOL can start sewing! She has been much more supportive since I have moved out! She cooks for us every night, babysits Olivia, comes over and cleans my house, does my laundry. Who knew? I was going to paint some today but I think I just hurt so bad my inspiration isn't there.
BTW Momma whats with the name change? U think us kids wouldn't recognize you? |

Morning!! It's cold here this morning....well, in the 40's. I love it!!
Nothing much planned for today except a trip to the grocery to get some things we ran out of. Oh, and Halloween candy! I cleaned house yesterday...took me all day long as I had to stop and rest....but I got it all done and it actually stayed looking nice since both boys were out! I even emptied the china cabinet, dusted it, ran all the dishes through the dishwasher and put it all back!! Let me tell you....it needed it!! Frank & Deb, I've eaten cookie dough before but never brownie dough (except licking the bowl). Guess I've got to try that!! I hope everyone has a nice Sunday! :grouphug: |
Kelly, if the dough has eggs in it, you probably shouldn't eat it raw.
