GOOD NEW!!!!

I just got back from my appointment with the oral surgeon and everything is just fine.:D

He was very happy that I did not have any facial nerve damage. He told me before he preformed the extractions on 10/1 that I would have nerve damage with the molar being involved with the wisdom tooth.

I got so lucky and I guess he is very good at what he does. He told me today that he was really happy nerves were not damaged since I already had enough health problems. He knows I am dealing with the nerve damage in my thighs.

He said it would take a very long time for the extraction area to heal since I am old and I smoke.:p

The thing that I got so upset about was the stitches coming out. I thought they came loose but they were coming to the surface. For some reason my body will not absorb stitches so he cut them off. The area feels much better now but it's sore from him poking on it.

I had the same problem with my pacemaker surgery stitches coming to the surface. The mouth stitches were gross so I won't go into detail but I thought I had infection or something bad going on.

I have to stick with the warm salt water and keep chewing on the right side. I've lost 7 pounds so maybe I'll keep going and get some more weight off.:)

I don't have to go back unless I have a problem!:D YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!

FinLady 10-13-2008 05:14 PM

Kelly, also hoping you get the answers you're looking for. :hug:

Holly, Sonics is always a great pick-me-up. Hope things work out. :hug:

Sox, Glad you had fun at the festival. :)

Becky, :hug:

~~~~~~
Not too much to update right now. Dinner cooking in the oven (cheated, frozen meal thingy :D ), and took a nap earlier. My sweetie surprised me by waking me up with some starbucks when he got home from work. :)
Still supposed to be an ok day tomorrow, so will catch up on yard work then.
~~~~~~

almost midnight and I am wide awake, have tried to go to bed once and just layed there. Got up had some ice cream and decided to check in.

Hope everyone gets a good nights rest for I am thinking yabbit isn't! :(

CayoKay 10-13-2008 11:15 PM

buenos noches, Yabbitas !!

I've got to get up at the crack of dawn for wholesale veg market... but sheesh, I can't fall asleep either.

leg doin' it's jumpetty-jump thang, knitting needles trying to purl a scarf INSIDE mah pore haid, and creepy-crawlies itching their way around my torso, driving me to distraction.

think I'll fix myself a cup of hot herbal tea (raspberry zinger) with a dollop of honey and a swig of brandy.

cross your fingers, 'cause I surely need the sleep.

and sending virtual tea zooming to the great white North, accompanied by sleepy-vibes.

see ya tomorrow, sweetie pie!

that's just what my body is doing also, you can put it into words better than I! :eek:

Thanks for the tea and brandy, I am hoping it works for me too! Good Luck! :hug:

Vonn07 10-14-2008 12:50 AM

hey ... look-ey at me ... I'm up and all yous are sleeping!!:hissyfit:

can't sleep ... my head is swimming with ideas and things to do ... and can't relax .. so, I'm taking some Tylonel-PM now ... pretty dumb, but I need to catch some zzzz's ... :holysheep:

for someone spending a-gazillion hours at home alone ... all of a sudden, I have people that want to come over, spend time, go out for dinner ...:Starvin:

you'll all be so proud of me ... I stopped over at my cousin's house on the way home from the interview with the guild lady ... oh, I haven't seen him for over 3 years ... and just now told him where I live (about 15 minutes from him in the same town I use to 3 years ago) ... and when he asked how long I've been here - I said about 3 months ... and that I had alot of things to sort out and still figuring out and working out ...

but, I opened another door ... he was shocked - because no one in our family tree had or has MS other than me ... most of our family has 'heart' issues ...

okay - going to try to sleep now ... see you in the morning! :Zzzz:

Blues Girl 10-14-2008 05:46 AM

Good Morning Everyone!:)

I finally feel strong enough to sit at my computer desk.:D This last relapse really knocked me down. I'm still feeling weak, but doing much better this morning than I have in almost two weeks. Taking advantage of this time to let you all know I'm still alive and thinking of you all!

Have a great day!:grouphug:
I'll try to check back in on you guys this afternoon.

Blues Girl 10-14-2008 06:18 AM

((((Sarah)))) Sweetie, I'm so sorry for your loss. Know that you and your family continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.:hug::hug:

FinLady 10-14-2008 06:47 AM

Tara, :hug::hug: Sorry to hear this flare has been a dozy. Glad you checked in.

Vonn, way to go!

Char and Kay, :hug::hug: Hope you guys got some rest last night.

~~~~~~
Morning all. Sun is coming up, and I'm sitting here drinking my usual cup of coffee.
Hoping to get some yard work done later this morn. It's a jungle out there, LOL.
Hope everyone has a good day. :grouphug::grouphug:
Girlie Girl 10-14-2008 07:05 AM
Good morning everyone! Well...hopefully it is a good morning for those who were having troubles getting to sleep! Char and Kay!
Tara, I'm glad you are feeling a little stronger. Hopefully you get a little more relief each day!
Congrats Vonn! Good luck at the meeting.
How's that cup of coffee Finlady? Mine is just so yummy! Only wish that I was at home on the couch instead of at work at the computer.
I did take a half day yesterday and did the house work and laundry. I roasted a nice chicken for my huney and had a candlelit dinner. Decorated for Halloween and went to DS's hockey game.
Nothing exciting planned for today. Just work and then whatever I have energy left for.
Have a good day All!!! :hug:
yeahbut 10-14-2008 07:59 AM
Good Morning Everyone!
Tara it is good to hear from you, I have been wondering how you were doing. :hug:
Vonn great job, baby steps are good! :hug:and nothing wrong with them!
Jenn good luck today. It is cold and rainy here don't over do it! Remember it will still be there tomorrow or next week if you have to.
~~~~~

I finally got to sleep around 3ish and then BF alarm went off at 4:30. I did go back to sleep after he left but not before he said something that rattled my chain.... He said he slept like a rock how about you, I told him that I didn't sleep was out on the computer till 2:30 and finally fell asleep after 3. Then he said "you need to change your sleeping habits." Then got up out of bed and got ready for work. Nothing about why? are you ok? was it your MS? Doesn't he know if I could I would, I certainly didn't want to be up most of the night with the crap that was bothering me.... MEN! sorry Frank but just sometimes!

ok, sorry to crab just had to get it out!

soxmom 10-14-2008 08:08 AM

Good morning people!!

char..........Im sorry your hun was so insensitive. men:(....sometimes
I think if they dont acknowledge things they are not going on.:confused:
Hope you get a nap in and feel better later.:hug:

GG....sounds like a nice dinner in for you and your hunny.:)

fin.........good luck on the yard work. I hate doing it.:mad::hug:

Tara......glad you are feeling better.........may you continue to improve.

Kay.........I hope you got some rest.:hug:

Good morning to Vonn, barb, frank and deb, sandy and jim, becky and
Kelly.

My Update: Just got everyone off to school and am looking foreward to
some rest before I start my day. My legs are pretty sore from my busy
weekend. But I think my urinary symptoms are letting up.:)

Hugs to you all!!:hug::hug:

Girlie Girl 10-14-2008 08:09 AM

That's ok Char...get it out here! Yeah, men don't get it. I don't think a lot of people, men or women, get it if they don't have MS. Like my mom telling me "just go to bed earlier" when I am exausted! She still doesn't get it. But that is what we are here for! :grouphug:

It sure was! I love to make it a little special now and then.

I'm glad you are getting a little relief from your sx! Those bladder issues are never fun! Get some rest!

ouch!

reminds me of that Whitehouse spokesperson who said this week, (upon explaining that they weren't going to extend the jobless benefits) something about those people just need to go get a job!

seriously clueless!

if we *could* change things, we surely would!

I finally dropped off around one, but alas, the right toe-and-foot-cramps (SHA-WIIIING!) woke me at 4 am.

oh well... it was good while it lasted, eh?

I sent hubby off to market by himself at dawn, when he enquired as to why, I said "Well, unless you want to do the extra laundry involved, due to my panty-piddling... "

:D:o:D

alas and alack, when I feel cruddy, that old sx rears its annoying head...

I have four pairs of panties rinsed, and sitting in the bathroom sink, waiting for real washing, and getting hung on the line...

still, I'm happy that there were no major messes, just dribbles... (*sigh*)

and have I mentioned lately just how MUCH I despise the term "pseudoexacerbations" ??

there AIN'T nothin' "pseudo" about 'em...

:p:eek::p

:hug: to all my pals here, and Vonn, glad you had a good visit.

FranksAngel 10-14-2008 09:34 AM

just popping in to say good morning before i jet off to work ... today i am hoping that frank rests as he did too much yesterday ... the boys bedroom is ready to paint ... all the halloween stuff is down from the attic in garage and put out ... xmas is also down and on back porch for me to go through ... yard is looking good ... still have more weeds to pull but its coming along nicely ... all the winter clothes are brought in and my summer stuff is now packed away ... still need to wash the sweats but i can do that tomorrow ... all in all ... alot was done yesterday and now frank is paying for it ...

i hope everyone had a good weekend and columbus day ... i will talk to you all tonight ... have a great day:Wave-Hello:

FinLady 10-14-2008 10:04 AM

Hi all. :Wave-Hello:

It was an hour and done for me outside today. Muscle fatigue hit while doing stuff, so stopped - as much as I didn't want to. I generally love doing yard work. :circlelove: LOL, I was the outdoor kid who always came home a mess from playing in the dirt.

But at least after tomorrow it should be nice and cooler out here, so maybe I won't tire out as quickly later this week. But at least there's some noticeable improvement in that jungle, and I figured out the best way to trim a tree this winter. :)

So sipping some iced tea and sitting under my ceiling fan cooling down. Trying to figure out some simple and easy chores to fill the rest of my day. After my break, of course. :)

yeahbut 10-14-2008 10:18 AM

Deb good to hear from you - I was thinking this morning I didn't see many post yesterday but I can see now Frank was busy!!! I hope he rest today!

Jenn good for you for stopping when you knew you had to. I was the same way as a kid - grew up with 3 older brothers so I played in the dirt and mud with them! :D

Just took the dogs out back for a walk before I leave for class here soon. Wore me right out!

Have a great rest of the day everyone! :grouphug:

Char,

Tell him he's right.....you do need to change your sleeping habits. Then tell him to find somewhere else to sleep as that's your first "habit change"!! I think he'll see your point!! :D :p

Vonn07 10-14-2008 10:41 AM

Sandy,

You inspired me. I'm going to vote this afternoon at the county government center. :) Our local polling place in town is a madhouse on election day!

Kitty 10-14-2008 12:38 PM

Do ya'll have absentee voting? It saves you a trip to the polls.

except for me...

my absentee ballot hasn't come yet, so I'm going to have to go to the US Embassy in the capitol to cast my vote.

:(

I *did* get a pkg from the election dept. labelled Official Election Balloting Material.

talk about misleading, it was only an APPLICATION to get a ballot, not the ballot itself, as I discovered to my dismay... when I opened it.

which means, there's NO WAY there's enough time for this to go all the way back to California, then, for them to mail me a REAL ballot, and then, for the ballot itself to be mailed in.

so, at this point, it's just easier for me to go vote at the Embassy.

weegot5kiz 10-14-2008 02:11 PM

howdy howdy folks,:Tip-Hat: sorry not been on much kind of blah feeling plus doing what i can around here and yesterday I did too much:thud: yeah surprised me too:rolleyes:

barb02 10-14-2008 02:15 PM

I sort of like going to the polls when everyone else is there. Of course I live in a small town so I had never had a long wait. It seems like alot of people are voting early. Several of my students have told me that they have voted by absentee ballot or voted last Friday at home when we had a day off.

I think I am having a relapse or flare. I am not sure. But my head is continuing to burn which lasted for about 3 months when I had my first flare, and I am having increasing problems with my left leg.

weegot5kiz 10-14-2008 02:25 PM

ok on second thought i wont catch up:yikes: ten pages how long have I been gone 4 hrs:rolleyes:

everyone I hope this finds you all doing well maybe tonight with deb i will catch up,

Kelly i read your ldn [post, I totally understand what you are thinking, my first response to deb this morn was stay on it, hope that lesion comes to no trouble and see in 3 or 6 months with another mri if u can swing it how its going with ldn then:hug: hang in there

voting???????????? huh isnt it november the vote?

Debbie D 10-14-2008 02:51 PM

hi everybody!! Haven't been on much lately...trying to get going on the online course I signed up for...I'm scared...not sure it's the right thing for me, esp with my brain not working as well as it used to. Well, I'm going to give it a go and see how I do.
My DH, DD and I went up to Madison WI on Saturday to visit with friends. We went for a 14 mi. bike ride on a pretty level trail. It was going well, until I fell off the bike and banged my head. Had a headache until this morning...felt so stupid:thud::paperbag:

I'm trying to keep busy and not sleep during the day, but it doesn't help the sleeplessness during the night. I am so uncomfortable during the night, with the tight muscles in my legs and my knees weeping at me, begging me to replace them...then I start thinking, and any hopes of getting 8 hrs. of sleep goes out the window. Wish I had a switch next to my ear to turn off the thinking machine!:rolleyes:

It's a lot cooler here in Chicagoland than yesterday...much more to my liking...easier to work in the yard and all that!

Well, hope all of you have a great evening...

Kudos to all of you getting out to vote early!

And Sarah, you and your family continue to be in my prayers...:hug:

sabimax 10-14-2008 02:54 PM

thanks....hugssss

huggsss all...I cant keep up you guys..hehehehehe havent read thru...as I am just home from work....and stuff around house to do...plus sunny nice day...for October been nice...Sunday hubby and I golfed 9 holes...woohooo

Nice out..so might get out for walk or at least just play in yard with kids...

hugss all, sarah

SandyC 10-14-2008 06:17 PM

Wiz, the lady told us we were the 65th person to come in today! :yikes: Chicago reported thousands! I am so glad we went early. While Jim voted on his handy dandy electronic thingamajiggy, I chatted with the ladies about how as a student I helped redesign the ballots, posters and voting booths in Cook country. Yea, so OK, I bragged. It's all I got. hahahaha

Anyway, we then went to Starved Rock and saw the pretty fall colors. The last flood/storm we had did some terrible damage in the area. HUGE trees were everywhere and the ground was still soppy. Jim got stuck at one point and he came home with true indian ground mud and leaves. :D

That's it. I can't keep up with all of you! Barb and Deb :hug: to both of you.

sabimax 10-14-2008 08:00 PM

Quieter times are tough...:( gives me more time to think about Madeline...Sabrina...life..and how way too busy it is...when I try to enjoy my family my kids...work takes way too much out of me...and I cant not work...

anyhow...sorry downer night....I am ok though....

oh question..anyone who takes neurontin...had you ever developed a sore throat most the time on it??? hmmmm might have to check with dr or pharmacist.....(faster pharmacist I bet...my drs office isnt doing well with call backs on things....ugggg not happy on that note...)

I just need quiet..peace...time...tired of work..and my body hurting...my leg kept going numb and weak at funeral...my one other sister...said once...hey are you ok..your limping...I said yes..then she said, better than dead huh....and I actually answered NO....I felt comfy in the fact that If I were to go right here right now..I would be ready...to hug my sabrina...although I know....I have many little ones to be here for...so surely it isnt close to my time...but you never know in life...

ok sorry, just a bit mellow wierd mood....heading to snuggle babies..and get some sleep...hugsssss,sarah

Two words for my update......head lice.

:(

FinLady 10-14-2008 09:54 PM

Renee, Ugh! sorry to hear that. :(

Sarah, :hug:

Frank, I know we had the option to vote early here too. But I know my regular place is usually slow mid morn on voting day, or as quiet as one can hope for - LOL.

Debbie D, know what you mean about the racing thoughts as one tries to sleep. If you ever find that switch, let me know. ;)

Sandy, Glad you guys had a good time today.

Barb, sorry to hear you might be in a flare. :hug:

oh, NO !!

I remember when my DD (then 5) brought THAT lovely surprise home from kindergarten.

it may have been 24 years ago, but I remember..........

sheesh, I washed everything in the whole house, scrubbed, combed. nit-picked, and deloused us all.

I'll never forget the stench of that Quell shampoo.

UGH !!

my DD's hair was waist-length, and I told her that if she ever shared combs again, she'd be getting a butch cut.]
