Hate to ask, but could you guys keep me in your prayers? Having an issue right now (embarrasing to me, so won't go into it). First tried natural means to fix. Now if the OTC stuff I got doesn't help within the next couple of days, will definitely need to get checked out. :(

My Update:

Had to take my golden retriever to the vet - she has a football size tumor on the side of her neck / front shoulder that needs to be removed and she has a kidney infection. He wants to take her tumor off soon since it has grown to that size in about 8 months.

Oh Char....I hope your dog's going to be okay. When will they operate?

frank suprised me with the most enjoyable afternoon i've had in a long time ... we went to long grove ... a small rustic town with lots of old houses and lots of small ma and pa type shops ... antiques, homemade candy (no didn't buy any this round) wind chimes that sounded like church bells, an irish shop (got some soda bread and found some wedding rings - celtic design bands that we like ... am thinking 10th anniversary is coming up ... hint hint hint), a mexican restaurant that the smell was devine ... frank says next time we will have to stop in and have lunch .... the weather was crisp and windy and the trees colors were awesome ... it was a perfect day ...
we got home and frank layed down and took a nap ... good ... he needs rest as he still sounds like crud ...

Dragged myself to my art group's meeting tonight even with feeling bad, but am so glad I did. Confirmed I'll be in an art show the weekend after the elections. Also signed up to show pieces at a place that supports local artists in April. Also have a couple of more shows to look into - so that's looking up. :yahoo::Head-Spin::Dancing-Chilli:

Of course, it is cold out, so snuggled in a blankey sipping some starbucks that I got on the way home.

LOL, Deb! Ahh, if I had a Dunkins Donuts nearby, I'd have a choice. But alas, we only have one in the area, it's about 10 minutes from us, and it's not very good. :( But we have two Starbucks real close by. Weird, huh?

We also have to travel almost an hour to get to the nearest Denny's. :eek: We miss their hash browns, LOL.

I wish I had either close...I just had a Starbucks and it is over an hour away. It does't have half what most of them make...I had to settle for a Mocha Latte...and the guy didn't know what white chocolate macadamia was!!:eek:

just got home from a work McD party for the three stores our owner owns....fun halloween party..many dress up..and costume partys..prizes...trivia with prizes...this year they had a pumpkin pie eating contest....a wrap a mummy contest...best wrapped person in the 5 min won....etc...lots of fun. Plus the place it is at..oh and dinner...the place has four bowling lanes on other side of the bar...so yeahhh I did bowl some with some of the crowd..and did a few kareoke songs....lol...

Sarah we had some of it in the air today, and its gonna be a wee bit chilly tonight 28 yowsers,, hush Kelly and Vonn lol got one cant wait to build an igloo and another that wants snow for xmas in Georgia. this is always the bummer part of the year the leaves fall and the darkness of winter is to set upon us. with a promise of rebirth comes spring, but losing the wonderful colors of the autumn leaves, always saddens me. the oranges and reds the golden aspens in the mountains shimmer like a golden wave.

Jenn prayers to you girlie although as I sit here at almost 1;30 with snot coming out of what seems like every orifice, Franks question almost made me choke laughing so hard! Of all people for that one to come from! I know Deb told him to say it but still!

Its been cold as hell here too, now add sick on top of flare and overworked and I'll be a joy by the end of the week! I have a bunch of stitches to remove tomorrow but my doc said if my tremors are too bad she would help me.

We got the names of three additional senior citizens to sponsor for Christmas this year. One lady and two men. Their lists are short and include basic necessity items (one man asked for warm socks and the other asked for a pair of shoes)...nothing extravagant. We're going to do this project this year instead of buying for each other. We're all excited and will probably continue to do this each year from now on.

I need to do laundry today and make some spaghetti sauce and chili to freeze.

I have to go this afternoon for the rest of the neuropsych testing. Yippee! Sounds like fun. I've had so much fun lately with the balance testing and the neuro-opth.:rolleyes: I am being totally sarcastic, of course.

I never posted anywhere about the neuro-opth, so I guess I will now:

I spent about 4 - 5 hours there last Thursday. The optic nerves are good. Occular motor tests not as good. She said I was interesting. Have I said before how much I hate being "interesting"??

I have occular dysmetria as well as dysmetria in general with other motor tests. I have torsional nystagmus when looking right and a back and forth nystagmus when looking left. I also have a convergence insufficiency which explains my problems with reading when my up close vision is technically quite fine. She said that was a neuromuscular control problem.

She said it all fits with me having MS. That is when I explained that my neuro doesn't really know if I have MS or not and that he calls it atypical MS or CNS demyelinating disease. She said she could just call it demyelination then, but that she sees all of this with MS. She said it seems like they have ruled out almost everything else that would cause these issues.

She reviewed my MRI's with me and she agreed that my newest MRI is much improved over the one a couple years ago. She showed me one big lesion that is completely gone and others that have faded. She really went over the cerebellum looking for damage because of the dysmetria and she said that just because we can't see the lesion doesn't mean it isn't there. She was pretty certain there is something going on in the cerebellum.

She said that she would highly recommend that I go forward with the IVSM treatment the neuro rx'd because that would be my best hope for resolving most of this.

She also said the Baclofen I've been on for the last few years for spasticity helps to dampen the eye sx and also that the Klonipin will help, too. She also wants me to pick up a pair of the lightest readers and come back in for her to put some prisms on them to help with the convergence so that I can stand to read again.

Thanks Everyone! She has to do 2 weeks of Antibiotics to clear up a kidney infection and then we will schedule the surgery. I took this picture of her a couple weeks ago when I was taking the pictures of the fall leaves. Since then it has grown about another inch.

Good morning everyone! I just finished getting ready for my last class so I tried to catch up on all of your posts. It is chilly (mid 40s) but sunny here. We are discussing child custody and the law today in class.

We seem to be having some type if intestinal virus going on here. I hope I can avoid it.

Kelly, Spaghetti sauce sound good. Do you make a meat sauce or meatballs? I use lots of mushrooms in mine.
