lol, DM, I shore impressed the Vet with my skill at setting up and administering sub-cu shots.

I was on BetaSeron back when you had two vials, (draw up, and mix), and I got pretty deft at it.... the vet had the meds in bulk, and I prefilled 8 syringes in a matter of minutes.

so, the Vet asked if I was a nurse back en Estados Unidos...

now, just TRY explaining CRABs, en Espanol, to someone who's never heard of MS (since it doesn't occur in the Tropics)

yes, we've been really busy, but I feel ever so much better the last few days, except for low-level back twinges, and a background headache.

almost done with the storage unit ... possibly ONE more load to sort thru ... and then I can breathe ... I barely have room to walk the way it is - yesterday, I felt like a pinball - I kept 'walking' into corners of this, stubbing my toes on that ... and I started to laugh ... because, when I whined - I'd go have some cheese, and I felt better!

Good Evening Friends~ A beautiful day here in Ililnois. I drove about 45 mins through the countryside to the cemetary where my parent's are buried. The trees were magnificent in their colors or burgany, gold, orange, yellow~

Today is the 5th anniversary of my Father's passing, and I had a very peaceful drive while reflecting on the events of the past 5 yrs. (some good, some bad)

Hi everyone! I'll confess -- I did not try to read all of the posts. I had a good weekend with my niece, sister, and brother in law. Anya was a very cute butterfly for Halloween and a beautiful flower girl for the wedding yesterday. She actually made it all the way down the aisle:). It was a high Mass with 3 priests officiating. It lasted one hour and 20 minutes. Yes, I looked at my watch. We sat in the children's room for most of the wedding where you could kind of see and hear what was going on. The reception was fun (for awhile) but noisy. They had a mariachi band and a dj. It was fun watching everyone (from age one to 80) doing all of those crazy dances, but I felt kind of bad that all I could do was sit there and watch. We were gone yesterday for 13 hours (driving to the wedding, pictures, church service and reception, drive home) which is a very long day for me.

So my house is quiet once again now that they have flown back to Texas, which is both a good and bad thing. I am pretty tired, so I am not looking forward to school tomorrow. I was in a bit of a stupor this morning after they left and I only drank one sip of champaign and 1/2 of a glass of bad wine last night.:rolleyes:

Tuesday should be an interesting day. I have been invited to a few election parties, but I think I will be staying at home on my sofa.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. The weather is beautiful here in Illinois. It is supposed to be in the mid 70s most of this week; I had to dig out some of my capris that I put away. I have my MRI to look forward to on Thursday. I am driving my self this time (about 50 miles each way) so I am not going to take anything prior to the test. I have taken lorazepam the past 3 times. Wish me luck!

Mornin' ya'll!!! We're supposed to get into the 70's here, too, through Thursday. It does this every year...and then the bottom drops out and it gets cold.

I don't have much to do today....just laundry and I think I might clean my bathroom floor with my Steam Mop. I have too much energy this morning and I need to find something productive to do with it. I cooked last week so that's done. I wish I could start the lawnmower and I'd try to clean up the back yard......but I know I'd pay dearly for that tomorrow so I won't even think about it!

MY UPDATE: very busy weekend. had my ds19 home so we had a
bday party for him and my dh. 19 people for dinner sat.... a mix
of my family, their deceased dad's family and friends. Interesting
mix of peeps to say the least.:rolleyes:;)

I think my son has grown at college(not out , up lol) He has got to be six one at least. He is still struggling with his knee but seems in good spirits.
He said he feels better now he sees Tom Brady(qback for ne pats) going
thru the same thing as he did. He feels Tom probably has the best docs
in the world and it still got infected. I guess it just happens to some.:confused::(

Yesterday I just hung with kids and rested as I was beat up from Halloween
and the party the following day.

Today I have to volunteer in my ds5's classroom for an hour. it is alot of fun.
Then Im putting in a call to my ds16's doc for some advice. Hopefully I will
get somewhere as he thinks he is playing indoor lacross starting this Sunday
but Im NOT! signing the papers!!!!!

Wow Sox, you are way too busy! But, I remember doing my parent thing at school too. Boy, that seems like a 100 yrs ago.

There's only ONE thing bad about our warm weather.... Those nasty Asian beetles are back~~ the leetle orange w/black dots on them critters!!! yuck!

Beetles are everywhere here too. Yuck! Took my niece to the park on Friday and had to explain to her that they were not ladybugs.

Morning all :) Sipping my coffee and looking at the wonderful fact it's supposed to be in the 70s today here too.

A lot of motoring around to do today for the last minute get together of things needed for the show. A variety of stores to go to. Definitely don't want to do it tomorrow. My only big plan for tomorrow is to get out and vote.

I was here then I was gone! I just got way too busy. But now I am back, trying to catch up on all the posts. That will take me some time.

I have been working my real job, starting a new little business, fighting a flare, taking my DS to hockey and soccer and planning a soccer fundraiser for our club by myself (which was yesterday).

Now soccer is finished for the season, the fundraiser is done! I can start to breathe again! Phew!

I'm glad you all are doing well and the weather for all seems to be nice enough!

Morning everyone! Busy busy posters this morning. Jim and I are having coffee and the door is open. WOW is all I can say. We were going to get out today but decided to just enjoy the weather from home and go out to get groceries on Wednesday. Why mess up a perfectly good day to walk the floors of Walmart right?

Thank goodness tomorrow is almost here! We don't see too many ads but the suspense is killing me. So far we haven't heard if we won the tickets but we heard they will be picked at random. ARGH! We wrote a long story thinking it would help. lol Then yesterday, I get a nice email to donate to win the tickets plus a tshirt. lol

Hello everybody!! Wow, can this warm weather in Illinois be any better on Election Eve? No excuse not to go out and vote now!

What a busy weekend...my DD came down from WI Wednesday night, and it was constant go, go, go!! Shopping, lunch, shopping, more lunch, she wore me out...
made me sad that she could see how stiff I've gotten...makes her worry so.

It made her cry to leave...when she was about to back out of the drive, her dad told her, "You're the bright star in our lives, honey," so of course the tears definitely fell...
She definitely brightens up a room; her laugh and crinkley eyes make everyone smile We miss her so much.
And her grandparents came over to watch the Bears game with us. They love watching a game with DD, because she yells, jumps up, claps, just like she's a little girl again, and not 24.

I got an email to print my Obamapalooza tickets this evening...can't wait to go...my first election night rally! I'm usually a technical election judge, stuck with taking the ballots to the election night counting house, but I can't sit all day anymore, so I opted out. Instead, I went and made calls for Obama this morning, and will again tomorrow.

Question: if a person has stiffness, and pain in muscles in and near joints, does Mary Jane make these problems disappear? Never met her, so don't know...:confused:

it does seem to help the tightness, or so they say lol I got to say some days it works better than the lyrica did and other days lyrica was better.... half a dozen of one and six of another....

glad you had a nice weekend Deb, sighs... about DD noticing a change in mobility, sorry about that Deb:hug:, in an odd way it answers any doubts you may of had or questions.... I went through doubt and in my case more of denial, a few times of me being slapped in the face, tends to shake me out of it. but it its hard to measure abilities and or lack thereof. and with us all being different in our SX's and Meds and Treatments.... There isnt really a set program or like a set of guidelines to go by... So it do make it hard to figure out at times.... its weird in my eyes you are given a title, but this title encompasses so many symptoms, oh and my head spins around occasionally, oh thats also a symptom of MS ok Doc......Like I said it can be a challenging trip

Jenn, the hospital where I go for MRI's does not provide headphones. Althought their MRI is supposed to be one of the best. HMMMMMM. So no music for me -- just thump, thump, thump.

I think I would stay downtown in a hotel, as traffic will probably be a nightmare. On a sad note, they are reporting on CNN that Obama's grandmother has died. It is so sad that she did not live for a few more days.

Had a last minute change of plans today. Spent some time with a friend who needed it. She's been having a rough time, so got about half of what I wanted to today. But worth it if it made her day better.

Right now have chicken baking in the oven for dinner.
