I think that epsom lotion sucks IMO. I tried it, it didn't work at all, just felt like regular lotion.

Magnesium Chloride liquid would work better i believe.

Many of us on PN find the magnesium lotion extremely useful.

There are some MSers here using it now for muscle cramps.

The lotion really helps with nerve pain. The pain from my surgical scar on my instep goes away in 5 minutes!

If you don't have targeted areas of pain you probably just cannot feel anything. (nothing changes). But I do believe the magnesium is absorbed.

Default Magnesium

There is an ever increasing amount of positive benefit being attributed to magnesium, and I believe everyone should be taking it as a supplement.
Good for heart, brain, muscles at least. it is a vital mineral in this day of depleted food quality.
It's by far the single best thing that I have ever taken or used, and my only regret is that I didn't start on it 20 years ago!

What doses are you taking and what kind of magnesium?

Thanks.

Default Magnesium

I am taking magnesium chloride in liquid form.
It is basically refined mineral rich deep sea water.
I take 1-2 teaspoonfuls a day, heavily diluted in water, which I sip throughout the day.
You can take a stronger dose to begin with, but it's best done steadily as if you have too much at once you may get loose bowels.
You can also get a powder version, which is also good, but ignore the tablets.
Lots of info on the web and elsewhere here.
It cured my severe tight muscles and subsequent headaches which I'd had for over 20 years.

Yeah i agree with the magnesium thing, i find it helfpul. At least the non-lotion form. I sometimes take it every other day. And i take my fish oil on the days that i dont take the magnesium. and dont take my fish oil on the days i take my magnesium-Mostly due to digestive issues.

But anyways since we were talking about magnesium lotion, I was thinking about COq10 lotion. And i was wondering does anyone get INSOMNIA from COQ10? Cause i have been getting that alot lately. But If i stop it my insomnia goes away.

if only they made a supplement/drug that reformulated muscle or bodily tissue. I thought coq10 would be better at that, but it seems to be useless at least for me. I mean im not into protein drinks, but i do think a well placed protein intake combined with something that makes the protein more easily digested is good. And with Human Growth Hormone I know that helps but i can never find a doctor or get around to finding a doctor who would prescribe that, or even testosterone.

Also, unrelated, I really think taking sugar or acidic drinks with high doses of fiber helps with digestion. Or at least with me. It makes the intake of fiber easier to work

I'd say you are on the right track in concentrating on getting the gut sorted out. Without proper absorption and digestion, we can't hope to get well.
Have you been down the path of going to a very simple diet and then adding things back in one at a time?
So for instance avoid all dairy.
Avoid all grains.
Avoid all soy.
Avoid all manufactured and highly processed 'foods.'
Avoid soft drinks.
Avoid eggs.
What about allergy tests?

I think it would help absorption more if you took coq10 during a fast, such as first thing when u wake up in the morning an hour before you ate anything.

If a supplement makes you feel odd, worse, or uncomfortable,
then you should really not take it. That may be a sign that
you don't need it or some other important reason.

CoQ-10 is not really absorbed efficiently. Some of the newer aqueous forms may be, but they cost quite a bit of money, and most people don't use them.

Default Gut

You may also want to consider taking probiotics to get your gut healthy.
My daughter takes VSL#3.
