Yeah COOL chart Mari! :D

I feel guilty about not eating apples. maybe i will try to get some that i like when i get out (which isn't often). i don't think i could keep up with one a day though. if we have two cooked meals that is too filling to eat between meals or tack fruit on the end of the meal for me.

thanks for the note of support Beth. :)

hey, guess what guys?

... i'm down another 1.5 lbs!

:Dancing-Chilli: Yaaaay! :D

I confess....I am doing terrible with my diet....
I have been adding french vanilla creamer to my coffee. each cup becomes 100 calories, I usually have 2 cups...
my beer that I like has 316 calories a beer, i usually have 2...
that is 832 calories on beverages that I drink on a given day.
to lose weight I was following a 1200 calorie a day diet....
(and not drinking those beverages)
the math does not add up.
Dieting is all about sacrificing....
I should look at it differently....
sigh

Dear Beth

the biggest trouble with strict diets is sticking to them.

sometimes less is more - as in removing less, achieves more. yes there have to be some sacrifices, but the more you deviate from your lifestyle, the harder it is. not only, once you reach your target weight, and stop "dieting", the weight tends to come back.

that beer is a big calorie packer. it's probably mostly from carbs. can you limit to just 1 beer? what about removing carbs elsewhere (as in bread, for instance)? alternatively if you can't have one without the second, how about every other day or, say, only on gym days -after gym?

100 calories per coffee is less of an impact, but what if you only had 1 with the vanilla creamer and 1 with skim milk?

ask yourself, in general, if there are any permanent changes you might be willing to make to your eating/drinking habits.

there are many ways to climb a mountain. ;) you can get there. don't be too hard on yourself. you've done very well.

Each of us will choose the best way to look at diet and find what works best.
I think of dieting as a journey toward loving myself.
If I am focused on myself and on my needs in the short term and in the long term,
then I make good eating choices.
I hope you are not being too hard on yourself.

Apples again. Which is biggest

Hi,

I bought hubby several types of organic apples and pears today.

He was most thrilled with the biggest apples. :D
The size impressed him.

. . . so much for my fun with taste testing.

I think that you just need a little more of your comfort foods for now
bizi. Give yourself a few days and then see if you can cut down some.

It might even be a everyother day for a while on the beer. I'm not a beer
drinker so I don't have that problem.

But I love candy so I have to be careful with buying it. I am doing good though. Till the fact taht I need chocolate hits.

I had a steak, potatoes and applesauce for supper today.
It was good.

I was the chapperone for Derrick and his lady.

Tonight is prom and after prome. He took her to Applebee's.

It was so neat, his boss stopped by today and gave him a $50.00 gift card
for Applebees. Its so nice seeing how much they like him.
