I thought I would record here the last time that I over drank, it was on tuesday august 10th.
I am back on my diet and have just finished a liter of diet tonic water, am pretending they are gin and tonics. I love the way it tastes by itself.
I had scrambled eggs and salsa in a wrap for lunch and wonderful catfish for dinner that my hubby fixed. and a small side of red beans and onions, peppers, creole style, they were good!
good luck to all who follow!
I hope we can learn to treat our bodies well and eat good meals and exercise as we are able.
It is all about healthy living.

thank you mari!
I made a commitmanet to not drink for a while, until we go on our little trip to pensicola...I put on a few pounds over the last month and measured myself and can see the extra weight gain in my abs and hips. I had stayed steady for 2 months...sigh...
This is a long process and I need to be patient.

Pensacola!
I love those beaches. :) :) :)

Pres Obama and family are supposed to be on the Florida Gulf Coast. I wonder if I can find the date.
It might not be a fun town with lots of reporters there while you are there.

I found it

Hi, Bizi,
He and his family are going to Panama City Beach this weekend.
It was a lovely beach the last time I was there.
I'm sad about the oil.

Panama City Beach, where the White House has announced the first family will be staying Saturday and Sunday, was spared the worst of the BP oil spill, sullied only by sporadic tar balls that were easily cleaned up.
Huffington Post has a picture of the oil getting cleaned off the beach before the visit.

I think it is about 80 - 90 miles from Panama City to Pensacola.

very nice, Bizi! :)

tonight my mom made chicken breast filets without flour and without any butter - for the first time in years i think. she marinated it lightly first and then seared it on high heat. it was very tasty and the balsamic vinegar i guess gave it enough "color" for dad, who wants everything 'browned' - translation: floured and sauteed in oil and butter. which drives me batty. mom doesn't use much butter, but it ends up going in a lot more things than i would put it in :o)

anyway since he ate it, hopefully she will do it again. (and hopefully he will eat it next time, too... sigh.)

we are taking lecithin in granules for our cholesterol. it's kinda ooky tasting and have to have a spoon of it with at least 2 meals. after we finish the box i think we might switch to the capsules. they are more expensive but we are getting icked out with these granules. we've tried eating them, swallowing them with liquid... :Noooo:

it's almost time for my yogurt + zoloft (+ lecithin:rolleyes:).
