I had steak and potato and a salad last night.

And I had bought a extra steak and I ate that today.

Worked out perfectly. Had cottage cheese and maroni salad
with it.

since March 11th, it has been 8 months and I am down 25 pounds.
I had to buy a couple of pairs of jeans as none of my long pants fit...now that it is getting cool I can't wear shorts anymore.
heading to the gym....am sore from planting all of those bulbs...hopefully I will still be able to stick to my work out routine.
weights and 40 minutes on stair masters now.
off to the gym!:OuttaHere:

only did part of my work out routine due to me talking to a trainer about body issues. I have not been doing any weight training with my legs...none.
which is wrong
so I need to work that into my routine...I was told that I should be able to leg press double my weight!
I talked a long time about my body shape and how I was still unhappy.
I had reached my target weight but still have ALOT of fat on my hips and thighs!!!!!!So they said I could lose about 5 more pounds and that if I started lifting leg weights that would help tone them up. Dieting and exercise is the only way to lose the fat.
ok!
I did a few weights and only 30 minutes on the stair masters....
I feel good about my session.

congratulations Bizi!

i hope the new toning plan works out for you.

some of what you think is fat might actually be untoned muscle. my golly i cannot imagine pressing 2ce my body weight with my legs.... how much muscle does that take, i don't wanna have drumsticks for thighs either

as for the "fat" you are still seeing... remember, fat gets "emptied" from the cells, but the cells themselves are not eliminated. if the body is not using them when they come to the end of their life cycle they are not "replaced." basically, you if you keep this weight, the actual adipose tissue you have "emptied" will gradually disappear over time.

i admire how well you have stuck to this plan, met (and exceeded?) your goal (wasn't it 20 lbs, not 25?) anyway... congratulations!

will you be working with the trainer periodically?

p.s enjoy those new jeans!!! :D

She said she wanted to me to keep her posted and she works there all the time...it was an unscheduled training session....quick question turned into half an hour at least!
She told me to build up my glutes to build up my buttocks, I told her that I did not want to build them up! This shocked her. now tell me who wants a bigger butt?
lol

Dear Bizi,
The leg press works the quadriceps -- these are important muscles.

You can go to youtube to check for the correct form for doing Lunges. Be careful of your knees by keeping them at the right angle. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJ95qwNaD78
Is this what that trainer talked about?

Some people want a more shapely butt. Also, a strong butt can help the other muscle groups in the body (the back, the quads, . . . . )
See this link for muscle groups for the lower body

hi bizi

Hi bizi, I responded on my thread also. Continued good luck to you in redusing weight. My col. was 247 too and is now 170. I took meds for a year to bring it down. I am on a waiting period now to see if it stays down. I did indeed change my eating habbits so I hope it does. Keep it up and know that it can be done. I did loose 60 pounds and have kept it off now for two years. I had to do it for my ankles and general health. I was at 192 at 5' 1". I feel so much better from just being a normal weight and at least looking good. I admire everyone who is trying hard to do this. Keep in touch, I am going through thyroid problems, nodes picked up on MRI. this would explain where alot of other symptoms have come from for the last few years. I see the dr, tomorrow. ginnie
