Women with PCOS have greater chances of developing several serious health conditions, including life-threatening diseases. Recent studies found that:
  • More than 50 percent of women with PCOS will have diabetes or pre-diabetes (impaired glucose tolerance) before the age of 40.
  • The risk of heart attack is 4 to 7 times higher in women with PCOS than women of the same age without PCOS.
  • Women with PCOS are at greater risk of having high blood pressure.
  • Women with PCOS have high levels of LDL (bad) cholesterol and low levels of HDL (good) cholesterol.
  • Women with PCOS can develop sleep apnea. This is when breathing stops for short periods of time during sleep.

Dear Blue,

I did not know how serious this condition is and now know why it is so important for you to be at a normal weight.
I promise to encourage you!!!!!

Thank you Bizi !

It really sucks... when doc told me I had that thing, I just thought, yeah, the cherry over my cake you know...

Im taking medicine for it now... and medicine sucks too ! typical... I feel nauseas, dizzy... but well...

I NEED to loose weight... I was really dissapointed last week when I didnt loose any weight... :( Hopefully this week...

Im eating more veggies and fruits... according to the table Mari gave me, I need to take 1 cup of fruit and 2 of veggies... Im still not eating that much hehe but Im progressing... :o

go blue go!!!!!
mostly eat lots of vegatables...not peas, corn or potatoes as they are really starches.
When I go to subway for lunch I pile on the veggies, use spicy mustard.
I like the flat bread it has fewer carbs and is very filling. the turkey sandwich has about 350 calories if you don't get the cheese, add 50 if you do.
It really makes for a satisfying lunch that will stay with you until dinner. especially if you are drinking water inbetween meals.
go blue go!

The medicine Im taking for the ovaries make me feel terrible... :( Doc adjusted the dosage after I told him, but still... :( Some days are worse though...

And guess what, doc gave me esomoprazole to treat my cronic gastro problems and OMG, I have never felt this tired/sleepy before !! When I thought Lyrica was the evil, here it comes Glucophage and Nexium to shut up my mouth...

My Lord... I had never hated medicines this much before !!!

Good thing is that I dont feel hungry at all... so I might loose some weight... :o

My lab coat still doesnt fit !! ugh... so annoying !

Hi blue and mojo

Thinking about all of you today, I come to this thread now and then I found dried mango from sunsweet lable to be fantastic for snacking for diet. More sugar than you need but it satisfies the sweet tooth very nicely. Hope you are doing OK. I have been dealing with family issues.:(ginnie:hug:
