i thought the oatmeal could sooth your stomach and your whole body. i wonder if it works as an antiinflammatory. weird thought.
well, i haven't weighed this much in over a year. eeks..i really did a number these past two weeks with the two pints of ice cream, the four packages of dino's nuggets, package of licorice etc etc. i think i can watch it now. to lose weight now is difficult and i am not sure how i will do it. I seem to be regular now so i won't try that all protein diet.
I am really curious what is going to happen tomorrow with my therapist tomorrow and trying to build on the list. it is such a great idea. thank you so much waves. I really think we should have one for the group.
love

or maybe not so weird!
excerpt from WebMD - Heartier Benefits Seen From Oatmeal:

Curb inflammation. Lab tests show that antioxidants in oats have anti-inflammatory properties. It would be impractical to try to eat the amount of oatmeal needed to get the antioxidant levels used in those tests, but smaller doses over time may have benefits.
well, i am eating rolled oats daily... for the moment.

well there are different kinds of diets. i too am a little disheartened because after that peak of stress caused me to drop 4.4 lbs, 2 of them came back and the scale hasn't budged since just as it didn't budge for an entire year after that last bout with Zyprexa. it is soooo frustrating!

anyway.............. as far as dieting and health, honestly, i would just try balanced, healthy eating. The trick to losing weight is if you can manage to eat just a tiny bit less than you need every day, with considerations for the diabetes of course. you mustn't starve yourself or your body will try to preserve weight. and i would say once or twice a week having little extras, or main meals that may be a little richer than your typical "healthy" food... even pizza from time to time... it's not all bad - bread cheese and tomato... just watch the quantity in that case. same with Chinese, if there is something fried, or you get noodles or whatever. Just be moderate - and drink green tea with it to help clear the fats out of your system. It depends too on the restaurant - some use more oil, some use more water and cornstarch to make the sauces.

i started behaving with food yesterday. i have started drinking green tea a few days ago. i have one with blueberry and i forgot what else...it is good.
yesterday i didn't go to the center so had spinach and eggs and i forgot what else.today i will have eggs too. last night i was on the phone with barbara and she was eating a muffin and i almost asked her if she had another. i still obviously am not in diet mode. I am still high from the rent control decision.
love

Heart

But you did not ask her for another muffin! so good for that.
We are allowed to talk about food though, modderation is the key. When you are not very active it is even harder to lose weight. know that you are doing the best that you can do right now. just take it a day at a time. I want you to feel good about what you are doing, about yourself.

Dear Bobby,

Even though the rent control issue was settled happily, it probably takes one a little while to celebrate the release of anxiety.

I hope that the therapist appt. went well.

Barbara called up yesterday and said she was by the muffin place and what kind did i want and i immediately said pumpkin and she said if they didn't have pumpkin, i said cranberry. how is that for will power? I didn't get it last night but will get it today. i got on the scale this morning and i was down two pounds. she mentioned she is eating salads....chef salads with a lot of ice berg lettuce which has no value except bulk. when i order today from fresh direct i will order ingredients for chef salad. right now i don't feel good about the impending pumpkin muffin but i want it. i do feel good about the coffee i am drinking.
