Hi,
I hope everyone is feeling great today...............I was wondering IF you get muscle cramps are they at a certain time of day? Strange question but for some reason mine start around 10pm'ish or the pain wakes me up 1-2am. I've been up since 2am and it's 10:30pm and it's starting in. I have nobody to ask. Thanks in advance for your help ![]() Heather

I'm sorry you are having these muscle cramps! I was wondering if you are experiencing these all over or if they are confined to say the legs? I do get muscle tremors/spasms but they happen randomly throughout the day, all throughout my limbs and torso. I was placed on Baclofen which has helped quite a bit. Low potassium can cause cramps in muscles so that might be something to consider. Also, if I remember correctly you mentioned your pain keeps you in bed much of the day - this might also cause worsening muscle cramps and if you aren't already doing isometric muscle exercises that might also be something worth trying to see if it helps if you can tolerate doing them. I do hope you find relief soon so that you can rest. |

Hi Heather, yes I get all sorts of spasms. Sometimes we I wake in the morning, my calf muscle contracts terribly and I stop it by standing flat foot as best I can till it breaks. During the day I get twitches in my leg . Quick small spasms that I can see. Feels likepopping popcorn inside my leg. Then, at bedtime the real fun begins . That's when I get restless leg symptoms which is maddening. Sometimes a warm epsom salt bath and /or a heating pad over my leg will help. And, I agree with Zookester. Its worse when my activity level is less than usual. Swimming helps me.

Hi Heather,
Yep, me too, and especially at night. ![]() So, I use Cal-mag, (calcium/magnesium) powder in hot tea... 1 tsp per cup. Calcium can be a bit constipating, so if that happens I use CALM which is Magnesium Carbonate. They both work well. ![]() Wishing you the best! Please keep us posted on whatever you may find that does work! ![]() ![]() Hana |

My severe cramps (and they are so painful I will start crying!) are always during the night. I also have spasms all day long anywhere on my body-from eyelids too lower legs.
One question I have is if anyone had these before developing CRPS. I have had charlie horse cramping in my calves and feet for quite a few years before CRPS. Judie |
