Oh goodness, mark, prayers to y'all in this terrible storm. I think it's only going to graze us in north Texas. Still, driving the wind and snow cannot be fun. Safe travels to you!! Should be okay once you get here, but getting here sure won't be fun.

Default 5 hours 200 miles

Praising God we made it safely to a motel in Raton NM. Have never before driven in total whiteout conditions. Determined we are to make it to the test in Ft Worth; however, it may be God's good grace which tells us it is a leap too far this time. Had our kids check the blizzard conditions and they are to worsen until 4 am [I known not how] then blizzard with high wind and driven snow until noon. 9 hours from here to Dallas FW under dry highway conditions. That last fifteen miles took us a hair pulling hour and a half with blinkers running and three cars caravaned together. Funny, no one was using blinkers until we came along and just plain could not always see car in front of us. Blinkers came on in our car, then the forward two made it so.

It was absolutely frightening, for we could not see the edge of the road on a mountain pass, let alone beyond the hood of our car. Thus, we found first motel, a decent one, and pulled off to be safe. Our kids were thrilled we threw in the towel for today. If this persists until noon tomorrow, I think we will be hard pressed to make it on in to Dallas FW.

Gonna follow the path of safety having given it our all. The remainder is up to the Lord, who delivered us safely this far.

G'night and thank you for prayers.

Oh Mark,

Your determination is unbelievable. Thank God you made it to safety. He is watching out for you; but has given you the ability of "good sense" which, at this time, may be necessary. Take heed.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

In the meantime; many prayers coming your way, as well as for dear Cleo.

Heart Day One Behind

23 hours driving time, through blizzard and around to arrive here. Forfeited the two days previous final preparations.

Feel blessed God helped us arrive. Tired to the bone. Slept three hours after test over today. Did my best.

Thank you for your prayers!
Prayin for U

Hi Mark. For whatever reason my reply to you, when you were throwing stuff in the Surburban, didn't get posted and I've just now got an email saying it hadn't been posted.
Although I disagreed with your decision to go against Mother Nature I asked The Lord to be with ya'll and bring you safely to Texas. It was blowing hurricane force winds around here and about the time ya'll would have been in the Amarillo area I saw that there were horrible horrible driving conditions, WIND and SNOW, across the Texas Panhandle. When I saw all of this on T.V. I had another talk with Our Father in Heaven cause I was really worried about ya'll being stranded on the highway out in the middle of nowhere. Thanks and praise be to You Heavenly Father for their safe passage to DFW!
Father, now I pray that you grant Mark a license to practice here in Texas. God bless and keep you and yours Mark, you are truly an inspiration to all of us butt buzzin' buddies.
With Christian love,
Larry
