I feel a little better today head doesn't hurt so much anymore thank God! I start the oral steroids today. Going to try going to a glass class later with a girl who is going to teach me all about using the kiln and the firing process.Darn arms don't wanna work for crap today figured I might as well do something! Will be glad when I get to start the Tysabri maybe it will help some of this!! I also have been asked by a local artist friend to create some things that she will take to a show on the outer banks and sell for me! Hope you all have a great weekend! |

Fin buy a security system they install the whole thing for a hundred bucks and it costs you like 35-39 a month! that or get a really big dog! I had that happen to me in an apartment I lived in before and they were trying to break the door in! Thankfully the police got there in time and caught them!

Just checking in. Renee I sent you my cell phone number. Mom is confused and gets mad at us when she can't do word association. The nurse says this is normal. Gosh, we hope so. I plan to be at the hospital in the morning to catch the doctor. I may have to wear my running shoes!

VONNNN so much snow...I am on my way to work...but KIDS get to have a snow day....hmmm maybe it is the 10 or more inches of snow ....and many roads didnt get plowed very fast...(when a Sunday..they arent out full force..bet overtime pay haha)
well woke up...and wow not enough sleep...and you know snow means humidity...and that means..Sarah is having issues...this morning..it is both legs are feeling burning tingling...wierd sensations....and some of my othre regular stuff....get used to it after so many years.... sorry been a downer with sxs lately.... hugsss all...OH guess what Maddie is crawling....just starting....hugssss,sarah |

It's a school holiday today - President's Day! That means I get to watch my neighbors kids jump on their trampoline all day! They all have so much energy - and giggle and screech the whole time they are playing. It's so nice to watch kids having fun outside for a change! Made it through our Daytona 500 party yesterday. It was fun. Our boy got a top ten finish, so he did ok. After a foot and a half of new snow fell last week, it was followed by the Chinook winds. Right now its 44 degrees and snow is melting. Time to put on the shorts and pretend its spring for the moment :) Should be back to cold in a few days....but the warmth is heading your way! Hope all is well in tornado country today! Yes I do Sox its been great it is 70 plus today has been in the 60's past two days, And I am on the juice! (roids) So I am currently taking a break from shampooing my carpets! I have all of the windows open and took a long walk on the beach this morning!

Yesterday was a good day. Went out to dinner at an Italian resturant for my b-day. Hubby got me a ring (combo valentines and birthday gift), and everyone's impressed so far with his choice. He does a good job sometimes ;) I'm hoping today will go ok. Not feeling too well and debating on calling off of work. :hug: Hope everyone has a good day today |

and happy belated birthday, Finny... glad you got a present you like... but sorry you're not feeling all that hot today. my update: got three ducks on nestfuls of eggs now, in da duck condos under my house. this being the tropics, houses are built up on pillars, to help keep things cool. this morning, I noticed that a CHICKEN has joined the ducks in condo-ville, and is adding eggs to the duck's nest. they're NOT supposed to be able to get IN there, but this is a small chicken, and when ya gotta lay an egg, well... ya just GOTTA! since chicken eggs take 21 days to hatch (versus 35 for the ducks) I'm going to have to CRAWL under the house (in the duck poop, :eek: ) and remove the chicken eggs... otherwise, I'll have some REAL confused critters here, baby chickens following Mama Ducky, and trying to SWIM in da pond, yikes! and it's real hard to tell the eggs apart, plus, Mama Duck can't COVER that many eggs at once... AND, I have to watch closely, for when Mama Ducky takes a break, and comes out to eat and drink. 'cause I don't wanna wrestle with her defending her nest. she's FIERCE !!! after I correct the problem temporarily, gonna have to figure out a long-term solution, some sort of segregation of the species... :cool: |

Honey I am home! Jim and I are sad to leave mom but we are glad to be home. Nik is home with us but Chris stayed in Dekalb. He is wanting to be near school right now and is over needing mom and dad. Jim has PTS from the shootings but is coming around. What a week this family has had!

had my 6-month appt with my neurologist today - and she 'understands' what I'm facing .. and she wants to work with me this summer - she wants to help me (even scripts) that will help me with energy and my 'social anxiety' ... will be an ongoing prescription for me. I'll see her again - the end of september ... I told her I got my old-goofy self back by not returning to the shrinkologist (and told her how I was treated) ... and figured I can do better without that treatment .. and I told her that I quit the z and vyvanse ... and, I told her how I'm working on making quilts for the vision-impaired - I thought she was going to fall out of her chair ... she's so proud of me - and agrees that I can't do a 'day' job .. just because I go to school for my master's.... thanks ... going into finals ... and still taxes ... keep smiling!! :) |
Hey everyone! It's soooo good to be back! My computer's harddrive got zapped two weeks ago during a thunderstorm. I've been going stir crazy! I saw that and I am sorry for not calling you Renee. I am also glad I came home Tuesday because the roads were ice last night.
Funny story. I was driving and right after Paducah Kentucky the lines in the road were rising up into the air. That's a good sign that your tired right? I pulled over at a rest stop and Jim and I slept for two hours! I only wanted to shut my eyes...lol I woke up so disorientated that I almost went back to sleep. Today I rested and took Bergie for a urine culture. Why is everyone having UTI's? I still have a sore throat too. UGH I called mom today and Aunt Mable was changing her bandage. I reminded mom that it wasn't supposed to be changed unless it gets wet. She told me it keeps falling off. I said "Well, yeah, if you keep throwing a winter hat on it that will happen." She told me Aunt Mable wrapped the tape all around her head. OMG, I can only imagine what is going on in that house! Don't forget the eclipse tonight everyone! |

I have been so busy in my own little world and I haven't posted much. However, I have not forgotten you guys and think of you often. I had a great MRI last week which showed no disease progression over the past YEAR!!!! So thrilled am I. No wonder I have been feeling pretty good lately (with the exception of losing my grip strength and vision trouble - neuro attributes it to a viral syndrome). No 'roids for me. YIPEEE! I have been busier that usual with work as well. Although sitting still for long periods kills me, my bank account will really enjoy being fed some more. LOL. I promise I will try to post more often. Like in the a.m. while I'm having my coffee and DD16 is getting ready for school. And Fin always plumps the pillows up so nice it makes it so cozy. LOL. |
Sarah, and NaeNae, you guys motivated me to dig out the pix of my kids (from way back in the dark ages :D ) when they were learning to crawl and walk.
ah, sweet memories! :hug: when the ol' MS starts foggin' da brain :winky: , it's nice to have photos to pore over, and see the kids doing things, and that brings the memories flooding back in! so, I hope you're taking lots of pix... :cool: TK, great news on the MRI there! Sandy, lol, I'm picturing your mom with a giant cartoon TURBAN of white bandages around her head... thank heaven for small favors, at least Auntie Mabel isn't using duct tape! Tara, I know how ya feel! got zapped by a zinger last year, that fried everything, even my surge protector! luckily, my husband is a computer geek, and we were able to put things back together. Finny, rest dear! and fluids! and molly-coddling galore! hope you're feeling better soon... NaeNae (again, lol), I finally managed to stop getting UTIs with a combo-attack-prevention program... involving drinking copious amounts of water (before, during, and after... certain activities) taking cranberry pills, and juice, and using baby wipes to carefully clean after going to the lavatory, and doing you-know-what. at this point, it's been almost TWO years since my last UTI, which makes Kay a very happy girl. my update: long day today, trip to the Capitol of Belize (Belmopan) for shopping... they have all the embassies there, so the stores have LOTS of interesting and useful things, like high thread-count sheets, good towels, excellent kitchen supplies, etc. very happy to have found the TILES to match our pattern, so we can finish off the last few feet of the screened porch, and the back steps... and a broom with dust-pan attached, so I can sweep without all that bending and squatting down... and at a school supplies store, I found a CORK BOARD for my postcards from y'all !! yeah, just TRY pinning up cards on cement block walls! I didn't want to use tape, as that might peel the paint... also, found some hard-to-get animal supplies (salt licks, feeders) and secure feed storage containers (we get possums, jaguarundi, coatimundi, and other night-thieves making raids, not to mention the BUGS! :eek: ) got home, and was sooooooo tired, I just sat there stunned in a daze... even had to have my hubby remove my AFOs, and bring me water... we were BOTH glad that our sweet neighbor brought over a pot of Escabeche con Pollo, and Arroz Blanco... (chicken soup with rice, lol!) as she somehow knew we were going to come back late and exhausted. now, my only problem is... without a nappy yesterday, I fell fast asleep last night at 7 pm, and am now WIDE AWAKE at 1 am! and darnitall, I missed the eclipse! (wah!) |
Kay I too missed the eclipse don't feel bad and I did the same thing...well kinda...I fell asleep at 11 and woke up at 2! Been up all night arghhhh why did I forget to take a sleeping pill?
We think my UTI's may be a tad more than UTI's I have to have an ultrasound and a bunch of labs done next week...... Sandy....thanks for the mental pic I almost covered the screen in coffee! |
