[quote=Vonn07;221665]cute Panty Raid ... and that first picture she looks "so alluring" LOL

quick ** UPDATE **

well, I got my letter from SSI/SSDI ... I'm denied because I have a brain ...

That is awful!!

I got all the papers filled out, the ones from the Doctor and Neuro on their exam results and sent the whole thing in myself.

I got a letter from the state I was to have a psychiatric exam on this date in town with this Doctor. The letter stated if I refused the exam my case would not be approved.

I thought I did pretty good because it was four hours of match the pics game, timed test of simple math which has always been a challenge for me and conversation.

I got my approval letter two weeks later and a check enclosed with the letter for five months benefits!

Hang in there kiddo.

tamiloo 02-23-2008 04:25 PM

Vonn, that sucks...is this your first time? If it is you need to get a SS lawyer and go after them. I did...it was well worth the wait.

By the way would love to see that lighthouse...cool!!:wink:

NaeNae 02-23-2008 06:56 PM

Hey all been out all day and I am PLUM TUCKERED! Went to the mall...had to get my wedding ring cleaned and inspected at Gordons,bought Oliva a bunch of Cinderella crap at the Disney store LOL! Bought Dayton new Vans because he had to have the kind all of the cool kids have....sigh. And my hubby so comfy new PJ's at Dillards cause he is having a sleep study next Friday night whatever will I do in that big bed all alone! Then went to the BX so I could buy a "potty" jar that I filled with M&M's to try to intice Olivia into using her potty. Then went to Barnes and Noble for some "mom" stuff. I couldn't even carry the bag in my walker it was so heavy.

Oh and last night we went to Lonestar and I got silly drinking Mojito's another mom came up to me in there and said OMG can I taste that I swear I don't have any weird diseases UMMM OK!

Then today in the mall this big tall black guy walks up to me and says hi Ma'm are you Spanish???? :holysheep: I swear to God just because I have naturally black hair and an Olivey complexion does NOT mean I am Spanish! I get that all the time....I swear I am dying my hair red or something! Then procedes to tell hubby and I his whole life story...born in Honduras...26 years in the airforce actually works on the same base as hubby...nevermind we were in a town 40 miles away! Introduced us to his cute little Phillipino wife and insists we swap telephone numbers so we can "hang out" Hubby and I walked away looking at each other thinking HUH? Hubby says well I'm throwing THAT business card away LOL!

I have another glass glass on the 11th and another all day glass at the Fine Art Institute in April ( I can't wait for that one!) So thats my weekend in a nutshell, tomorrow just doin laundry!

CayoKay 02-23-2008 07:03 PM

Here's one for your kids, Sarah, and NaeNae!

half an hour ago, mi esposo heard cheeping coming from an area where we have no chickies... where the DUCK condos sit, under our house...

WAIT a minute, we don't HAVE any chickies that YOUNG right now!

looked out, and here comes a brand new, fluffed out BABY, wandering from under our stairs...

OOOOOOPSIE!

it must be an egg that one of our young pullets laid when Hannah stepped out of her nest for her morning coffee?

since chickens hatch in 21 days, and ducks in 35, Mama Duck Hannah's still on her nest..... but this baby was ready to PARTY!

we can't put it with the older chicks, that's not safe...

so, we've brought it in the house, and put it in a shoe box.

here, mi esposo is teaching it to peck for grain in a cheese box:

http://img258.imageshack.us/img258/8374/dscn4439ho8.jpg

our new baby learns to drink water from a mayonnaise jar lid:

http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/4391/dscn4441zr5.jpg

it's so CUTE !!!

SandyC 02-23-2008 10:30 PM

Hey all! Busy day here at the Champion residence. I swept and mopped the floors, did laundry, replaced Jim's keyboard on his computer, fixed the mouse and now warming up din din. I forgot to tell you guys that while we were down south Jim spilled a cup of coffee on his puter and thank goodness it dried out and it works! All I had to do was pop the battery, hold the start button for 30 seconds and wallah!, the computer works!

I am off to watch tv with Jim now. See you later gators!

PS: The dog has a UTI as suspected again. This is her third. She has entericoccus and is trying to be like her daddy. haha

NaeNae 02-24-2008 08:13 AM

When your service dog is getting sympathy UTI"S with its owner that is going above and beyond service!!

Welcome Crowley! Tell us about yourself!

Kay- should I start looking for a plane ticket????

tkrik 02-24-2008 10:16 AM

LOL, Renee. That is going above and beyond. Love the pictures. She is too cute.

Kay - Aaawwww. That is so cute.

Everyone is still asleep this morning and I am enjoying some quite time and a cup of coffee and getting a kick out of DBF cat playing outside. She's practicing pouncing. LOL. She really thinks she's a dog - call her name and she comes running wagging her tail. She was playing a game of chase this morning running inside and chasing me down the hall and then back in to the kitchen and outside. She got mad at me when I closed the bathroom door to use it. She hates closed doors plus her "playmate" was on the other side. LOL.

No work on the house today. I'm at a stand still. DBF needs to do the drywall in the kitchen and then shoot the texture on it before we can move on. I did do a little weeding in the flower beds yesterday. Since it is a rental and the renters are more than likely not going to take care of a flower bed I am going to make a rock and cacti garden in them. It will be best as they get full sun all day. The dry summer heat would kill anything else I put in there even some of the other succulents.

Hope you all have a good day!

aw man!

plane tickets are soooo 'spensive nowadays...

but I have a "guesthouse" and free lodging can be arranged for those who bring me *bribes* of chocolate...

:D

PS: welcome, Crowley.

and Barb, where IS ya?

Sandy, glad ya got so much done, I'm jealous!

how's your Mom doing?

:hug:

SandyC 02-24-2008 12:15 PM

Mom is doing better but her eyesight is still a little off. She can't even read her checkbook. She has horrible writing so this is no surprise...lol Her memory is getting better everyday so we are hopeful. She is thinking by next Thursday she will be able to live on her own. I doubt she'll be able to drive though.

Look at you go...I was lucky to get all the dishes done yesterday...now the unloading of the dishwasher. I had a horrible night last night. One of what I call my pain night...when the pain just won't quit yelling at me. Went to bed finally at 7 this morning but slept until just shy of 1...felt good and feeling better...

Sandy, I'm glad our dogs aren't mimicking Craigs stuff. Say hi to Jim for me...you take care!!:Wave-Hello:

soxmom 02-24-2008 07:55 PM

I had a very low key day as I think I overdid it on Friday.:( Yesterday
evening the pain in my arms and legs was awful. It felt like I had
run a marathon(muscle pain) but I also felt like my bones just hurt so
bad. I could hardly walk.

I put hot packs on my thighs(which made them tingle) but it felt good.:confused: I went to bed early. Today they are not as bad but
still not pleasant:mad: I guess you play you pay.

I hope Im not heading for a flair as Im starting to pee alot too. I hope
its just a flareup and nothing to serious.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend full of love, happiness, and
peace.:):hug:

Sigh!

My DD18 is SO 18! She is a senior in HS, and has a hx of making good decisions. She is currently under the delusion, however, that 18 is a magic age, and that parents no longer have the authority to make any decision for her.

The current issue is her health. She has been feeling under the weather for 4-6 weeks. She has been to the doctor multiple times. They have done blood tests, chest X-rays, and checked her stool sample.

They have currently ruled out anemia, mono, inflammation of the joints and thyroid stuff. The only reason that I know that is that my DH went along to her last appointment. She has been going to the doctor alone, because she likes to be independent. However, she has failed to obtain information about what they are testing for, etc.

They also tested for 3 additional things; netiher DH or DD understood what the nurse said, and, neither one of them asked her to repeat it.

DD has frequently missed school during the last weeks, because she is so fatigued. She has lost weight -- is a small girl, and probably down to 100 lbs.

The kicker is that she continues to believe that it is OK to go out in the evenings when she has missed school. It is particularly church (youth group) events that she wishes to attend. DH believes that "church is more important than school", so the 3 of us are arguing frequently about what she can and can't do.

DH and I are planning to sit down tomorrow evening and discuss that, along with just the general issue of her attitude that we can no longer tell her what to do, and come to some mutual decisions which we will then presnet to her.

I am so tired of this. I have always been very reluctant to see my kids grow up and move away. I am beginning to see "senioritis" as a process to help parents WANT their kids to move away. I don't know how much longer I can deal with this attitude stuff.

~ Faith

sabimax 02-25-2008 05:36 AM

Faith, my moms statement used to be...you might be 18 but if you living under my roof.....

sorry she isnt feeling well....call the nurse at dr office to check on the tests..and what they are and how its going.....

hey all..well on way to work....check in soon, hugssssssssss,sarah

sabimax 02-25-2008 05:38 AM

Thank you once again Kay.

I just love seeing your photos and I'm sure everyone else does too.

NaeNae 02-25-2008 07:17 AM

Tamiloo...aren't you always amazed at Sandy's energy??

I did laundry all day yesterday with a break to buy groceries and wash my downstairs windows...again....housekeeper just did them but someone keeps putting their noses to them!

Faith time to sit that girl down and lay the law down...as long as you live here you do as I say kinda thing! I'd definitely go with her to the next docs visit!

soxmom 02-25-2008 07:55 AM

Faith, I have an 18 year old ds. God bless you.:)

Soxmom

tkrik 02-25-2008 08:41 AM

Faith - Sent you a PM as you almost described me and DD17.

Renee - What are talking about with Sandy's energy. You did far more than I yesterday. Geez! Well, I did make dinner. LOL.

Soxmom - I hope you're feeling better. However, your adventures sounded like so much fun. Playing in the snow is the one thing I miss about winter from living back east.

~~~
Last Friday I realized that the MS Walk is only a few short weeks away and I am so not ready. I can do a mile but 3? I really need to get cracking.
How many of you participate in the walks?
FinLady 02-25-2008 08:51 AM
Good morning all. :) Sitting here begging my morning cup of coffee to help me wake up, as usual.
I enjoyed all your posts. So much happens when I'm gone for a day. :D It's good to see though.
Yesterday was an organization day for me and hubby. Got a lot done, but still have more to do. Still, it's great to have completed parts of a project :)
Of course I'm paying a little for it today, LOL. I'm a little cog-foggy and wobbly, but hoping that clears a little.
Hope everyone has a great day!
SandyC 02-25-2008 12:29 PM
Hey all! I went to the doc today. Pray with me that my liver levels are good this time around. Bergie is on Amoxicillin for her UTI and seems to be holding her own. I plan to do nothing today, nothing. lol
Tammy, I had a wild hair and an energy boost. It's gone now. lol
Renee, Bergie is going above and beyond the call of duty and I told her she is grounded if she doesn't kick this one! haha How are you doing?
Faith, I feel your pain. It doesn't get easier. I am finding that even when they are 19 and 21 they still do crazy things. I had to get on Chris this weekend for missing work all last week. The school shut down because of the shootings but he could have worked. Especially when we just helped him buy tires for his car. Let's see, work equals pay. Quite a concept huh? LOL It is bitter sweet to watch them go out on their own. You know you must let go but oh it is hard isn't it? Trust in that you gave her the tools she needs to do well.
TK, I love cacti gardens! I have a porch that gets full sun all day. I planted small cacti in the flower boxes with a mixture of sand and soil. They flourished and were quite nice to look at. Expensive though...
Cayo, Mom is hanging in there. She hopes the doc will release her to go home this weekend. She is at my aunts house and is getting stir crazy. They wont leave her alone...haha
Sarah, have a good day at work.
Sox, hope you feel better soon and that your not going into a flair. Keep an eye out on the frequent bathroom visits. Seems this thread like UTI's.
Koala, how about some Aussie pics? How are you doing these days?
barb02 02-25-2008 03:39 PM
I just thought I would drop in and say a quick hello! :Wave-Hello: I am still in Austin. It is about 85 degrees today; I am flying home (Il) on Wednesday. The change in weather is going to be a big shock. I wll have to dig my car out of the snow and ice at the airport.
I have enjoyed playing with my adorable, smart niece and spending time with my sister. My niece (2 years old) says I can't go home. (My brother in law is another story:eek:) I have also had some great food. There are so many good restaurants here. Tomorrow we are going to the children's museum and back to Whole Foods one more time.
Unfortunately I have been sick almost the entire trip. Went to an urgent care clinic on Friday and a few hundred dollars later, I was dx with bronchitis and a sinus infection. I am feeling a bit better today.
Hope everyone is doing ok. I have not had time to catch up on all the posts.
Has anyone heard from Shelia? (photogirl) I am a bit worried about her.
Sandy, I'm hoping your liver levels are ok :hug: You guys have been through so much.
Barb, Sorry to hear you've been sick, but still glad you had a chance to enjoy your family. Have a safe travel home tomorrow.
Kay, That beach is pretty. Thanks for the pic
~~~~

I see a urinary doc on Thurs. and I have my stress test scheduled for Friday. I will admit that the stress test is freaking me out a little. Of course my hubby tells me not to worry. :rolleyes: Still, it's my heart and I'm hoping it's ok.

Work yesterday was busy from the time I got there to the time I left. Makes the day go faster, but definitely tires one out. :)

Thank goodness for coffee. :D

NaeNae 02-26-2008 08:53 AM

Fin good luck with everything! Hopefully it all turns out fine...don't stress though LOL no pun intended! Ummm don't drink any coffee that day either I hope they told you that!

Barb-sorry you have been sick for the whole trip!

Sandy I will call u later today,speaking of which....my doc ordered a bunch of labs for me last week and I haven't had them drawn yet.....

tkrik 02-26-2008 09:15 AM

Kay - Keep the pics coming. I hope you don't mind but I shared them with DD16 last night. She was so impressed and thought they were so cool. DD17 normally would have been impressed but she was too busy taking pictures of herself for her myspace page and dealing with the teenage drama that was going on with her friend. LOL.

Barb - Sorry you haven't been feeling well on your trip. I hope you start feeling better soon. Despite how you have been feeling, I am glad you are having such a good visit.

Sandy - Good luck. I hope your liver function test comes out fine.

Fin - Don't worry about the stress test. Try to go relaxed as much as possible. Additionally, good luck with the urologist tomorrow.

LOL. I just found out about the no caffine for 24 hours prior rule. GULP! :eek: I think that's gonna be more stressful than the test.
