I decided to check this site out and EVERYONE is here!!!:hug: Glad to see everyone. I'm a little slow, I guess.
|
OMG so sorry kathy if I had known you didn't know we moved here I would have told you!! But so glad you found us!
Kayo- so when do you know if you passed inspection.....did u have to show them your rabies shot and obedience school diploma??? |
Hey Kay ... any type of excursion is going to tucker you out for awhile!! glad THAT's over with!! can you stay?? :Mexican:
I don't know what happened to Renee's package??? don't think there's anything breakable ... and replaceable .. just have to make more mice! still holding A's in my classes ... actually, the stats class is fun ... wish I would of went down to Milwaukee and worked for the Brewers back in 1977 ... I designed out a 'lonestar' pattern ... and have most of it together ... I have NO idea why I have all these books and patterns .. I make up my own - do it MY way! LOL I think I'm going to venture out to Alpena, Michigan in October - been wanting to go there for the past 10 years ... Lighthouse Festival ... I'll go and pick up Bannet so she'll leave her mailbox for a few days!! thinking about going out to the Twin Cities in mid-May:Viking: ... and down to see Sandy&Jim this summer ... let's see - oh, yeah .. Renee's got room out in VA ... that's if she's still speaking to me with this package mis-hap!:Dunno: okay - nite all :thud: |

it's hard to tell how long the approval process will take, because they keep amending the rules, and adding requirements.... we turned in our application early last summer, and it's still pending! after one year of living here (without leaving) one can apply for "Permanent Residency" which involves providing proof of income, bank statements, local and Interpol police records, a full medical exam, blood tests, marriage and birth certificates, and showing land deed and tax receipts. Quote:
:eek: :( :eek: they'll let me stay, but I want the "Residency" so we can: 1. cross the border without fees 2. get a permit to sell our produce at the market 3. vote in local elections 4. STOP having to go and renew our Visitor's Visa every month ($200 bucks!) Quote:
:shocked: :Zzzz: :Hum: :Zzzz: :shocked: they took my phone number, and said they'll call us in three weeks, for yet ANOTHER appointment! gack, I wish this part was OVER, so I could RELAX in my hammock, and watch my ducks do their fabulous splash-landings in my pond... :rain: :icecream: :rain: |
I should have gotten up and chatted with you Kayo unfortunately I felt like poop warmed over. I started coughing and having trouble breathing yesterday evening,was up all night hacking my head off,aching,and running a fever..YAY...still feel like doody today. Worse I have to go out this evening to buy groceries because I have to have my van in the shop all day tomorrow to get my lift installed. And to add insult to injury it is freezing here and hubby came in 10 minutes after he left this morning to tell me his tire blew out on his beemer, so he had to take my car today. Add getting new tire to list of things to do tonight! SOOOOOO LOL I am no beacon of sunshine today! Quick someone make me feel better!
:Sick: |
AWWW (((Renee))). You are not starting you day off very well. I hope you start feeling better. Are the kids going to have a day off today? Instead of a snow day, a mom's sick day? Can hubby help out when he gets home? You know go to the store for you? etc.
~~~~~ I have to bring kitty back to DBF's tonight.:( I will miss her. Although I do get to visit her on weekends as well as DBF and his dog. Oh, how sad. I just realized I don't have ANYTHING planned for today. This very rarely happens. Usually I have something going on. Oh dang it! Now I have to think of something. My brain is not opened up enough to read today. Too complex. I am downloading dictation to type right now so I know I have to work in a little bit. But after that, ummmmmm, oh it will be nap time.:D |
Hi Renee, remember me? its soxmom. :Wave-Hello:
Im sorry you are feeling cruddy and are having a cruddier day. Good luck shopping, its hard when you dont feel well, especially if you are dragging young ones. Im glad I found my way here, its really great. Sox |
:Wave-Hello: :wink: :Wave-Hello: :wink: :Wave-Hello: :wink: :Wave-Hello: :wink: :Wave-Hello: I got me a full rain-suit yesterday, bright yellow overalls, and a hooded jacket. and high white rubber boots, for that special finishing touch! to cheer you up, picture me waddling and hobbling around in that flashy get-up at dawn, passing out the animal munchies. it was just getting TOO darn hard to maneuver with buckets, pails, and sacks, AND carry an umbrella, AND watch out for bugs and snakes, AND keep the bunny pellets dry, AND not slide in the mud! lol, I think I need windshield wipers for my glasses, it's raining so hard! got my helper using woodchips and sand and gravel to make me a couple new pathways, and now he's wearing my lovely new outfit! that's when I realized how SILLY it looks! :icon_rolleyes: :ROTFLMAO: :icon_rolleyes: |
Good Morning Everyone! TGIF! We are up to 10 degrees here; I imaginge it still is even colder for all of you up north. I do not have a lot planned for today. I am meeting a friend for lunch. I just got a call from the secretary in my department; they are planning our teaching schedules for next fall. I do not want to think about next fall already!
I'm glad everyone seems to be finding this site. Hopefully, we do not get "kicked" out of here:mf_swordfight: Cayo, I would like to see a picture of that rain outfit. Renee, Hope you are doing better soon. My legs and back are feeling a little better today. Shelia, what are you reading now? :OuttaHere: |
Hey all! Good to see everyone here. last night I didn't do much of anything. Well, Ok, maybe I did. I cut the dogs nails, swept the floors, cleaned the kitchen, packed a bag and threw everything into the bathroom...lol
Today's job...clean the bathroom. BTW, -6 degrees here. Yay for us! |
Kay - You have to have dh take a picture and post it. I gotta see this. LOL.
Barb - That's great! Finally, huh? I am so glad you are on the mend. Let's hope it continues. Sandy - So, you're a bathroom stuffer. LOL. A few of my friends are "stuffers" as we call them. I am a "stuffer" when company is coming over. Bad thing is, after everyone is gone 2 things: 1) where the heck did I put that and 2) it's more work to unstuff as opposed to just putting it where it belongs. LOL I'm cleaning my bathroom today too! After I worked a little this morning, I went to the store to get baking soda to make my cleaning solution. Now, I better get to work 'cause nap time is coming SOON! |
LOL A stuffer? Never thought about that! I guess I am a stuffer.
Hello, my name is Sandy and I am a stuffer. |
Lord Sandy I wish I could get as much as you when I'm doin nuthin!!
Kayo-pics we must have pics!! Sox-of course I remember you silly! But I do need your addy again! Tkrik-one day with nothing to do sounds like heaven! And no the kiddies don't get a sick day! So no more kitty babysitting? Barb- what are YOU reading right now? Still the suspense novel? Just think it's the countdown till SuperTuesday! My update- so wish I could entrust the shopping to hubby! As if the day couldn't possibly get too much worse we finished homeschooling early today, and I came upstairs and Dayton was lying on his bed crying...now HE is sick! Fever,headache,nausea. Praying Olivia isn't next! |
Oh Renee, that just plain sucks. Why don't you write hubby a list and see how it goes. It's better than nothing. I hope Olivia doesn't get sick.
|
good afternoon guys,
My feet r still zapping. :( and I havent been able to do much.. I am kid free this weekend. thank goodness. My MIL wants to have a superbowl party,but with both of us not feeling well,I told her that we'll will come,but lets make it simple. she agreed with me on that. she has neuropathy in her hands and feet. so she feels my pain. I told her bout neurotalk,and that it might be able to help her out. she said she would peek in and see... we're suppose to get frezzing rain this weekend,but last I seen its going further south of Miami. Thank goodness. ok im going lurking for a bit. ttyl..:hug: |
I just finished "The Doctor's Wife" -- described as a psychological thriller. It was kind of creepy but I found it interesting. Guess that says something about me:eek:
Now I am reading "Dead Men Do Not Get The Munchies" a silly murder mystery. I am dealing with a bit of vertigo today. I realized it when I lost my balance for the third time.:( Have a good weekend everyone! |
hey all, just checking in...
laundry, baking cookies soon...did yoga yesterday and today with dvds...yeahhhhhh on a workout mission hehe hugsss,sarah |
Ummm, Sarah, running after all those little ones is a workout!:eek::p
Good job on starting the yoga. It is so helpful. |
I send mi esposo to the store, and he comes back with *everything* that's NOT on the list... especially if he finds something chocolate !! the rain finally stopped, and the sun popped out... built a little hutch for Gwynneth (the goose on a nest) so she doesn't get soaked while she lays eggs. something raided her nest, and smashed and gobbled the two eggs there, but LUCKILY we had snitched two and reserved them for the incubator, so it's not a total loss... and Gwen laid another this morning... I sooooo can't wait to meet the little goslings! our neighbor grows Chinese cabbage, and today he brought over a big bag of the outer cabbage leaves for our bunnies and guinea pigs. I was spreading the leaves out on a big screen, (to keep them from rotting), and suddenly, I was doing a HOT JIGGETY JIG! "OUCH!" (slap) "HELP!" (jump) "OUCH!" (stomp) mi esposo looks over from the duck yard, and says: "Honey, step OFF that red ant nest!" :D :eek: :D |
Kayo-LOL is it a bad thing when you have so much burning from MS you don't realize you are standing in a bed of fire ants??
Aly- I say skip the super bowl party,it's just juiced up men in tights anyway! Their booties do look juicy enough to take a bite out of though! :Starvin: Sarah- yoga...doesn't that require at least minimal flexibility? LOL I am out! Barb- think I am going to start on the Book of the Dead this weekend by Patricia Cornwall, there's some heavy reading for ya! Vonnie- :Thanx: I got a package today,packed with goodies from Vonn- now i get what the mice are...too cute gonna have to make those sometime! I also got a little oil lamp,a book,shower gel,lip balm, a pillowcase and doilie,and other goodies! Thanks GF!! The mailman is breathing a sigh of relief that I possibly will stop stalking him.....little does he know! |
Aly - YEAH! A free weekend. That is so sweet of your MIL. Enjoy!:D
Renee - Oh dear. I hope Olivia doesn't get it either. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Yes, sending hubby to the store can cause and issue. On my bad mobility days I send DDs. It's the same as you sending hubby. I end up with a little of the good stuff but tons of snacks and they overspent. YIKES! Hope you all start feeling better over the weekend. Kay - OUCH! I don't like those red ants. They hurt when they bite and it swells. Those boots would have come in handy today, huh? Please post pictures of the little goslings. ~~~~~ Yes, Renee, kitty goes home tonight. I'm waiting until after 6:00 to bring her back. I hate driving in rush hour traffic especially when I don't have to. DBF will be home by then so the garage door will be open. We're working on the front door so it's taped up and I wouldn't be able to get in so I have to wait until he gets home. Oh, guess what? The carpet people came to install the carpet. He untaped the front door and left the screen door unlocked. So, DBF comes home from work and they are just finishing up. They asked how he liked it and he said they did a good job but it's the WRONG COLOR. LOL. The guy showed him the paper work and DBF said that's my street name not the color. LOL. Since it is a lighter tan than what he bought he told them just to leave and to finish it up. Can you believe that? We laughed about it. Good thing DBF has a sense of humor. Of course if it was pink or purple that might be a different story. |
How are your little ones doing Renee? I hope Olivia does NOT get this.
1 week ago my children had the stomach flu and this week a horrible time with a severe cold/virus.:( yuck.:mad: On Wednesday my 4 year old had a coughing jag in the grocery store and ended up throwing up at the store. We had to leave a full(and I mean chock full) cart and go home. Poor kid. We also had shopped for more than 2 hours.:eek: For the last few days I keep thinking "Where did I put those oranges?? Oh yeah, I put them in a basket but didnt take them home:eek::eek:." Its driving me nuts.:Doh: I hope you and the kids feel better soon. I think I need to open the windows and air the place out. too much sickness. Soxmom |
I've gotten smart, and wear heavy socks, pulled up OVER my pants legs, so things can't get in... but there was a HOLE in my sock, and I was wearing Birkies... so, the invasion of the body-Kay proceeded apace! ouch, ouch, ouch! |
the biggest part of farming is the *waiting* and man, sorry about the carpet! so, you're just gonna leave it that way? |
Update, Hubby made it home and boy were we all so glad to see him ! :Dancing-Chilli:This living three hours away from each other is getting old. Now everybody say a little prayer this house sells and we can all be together. Spent the day hanging out and spending quality time.Later in the day took me to the mall and bought some new kumpy ,(comfy in Tay talk)clothes. I did have a huge episode of out of control tremors but came home untill they settled back down. Sure is good to have my fella here......:inlove:
I moved here first, and it took mi esposo over a YEAR to finish up business in the US, and tie up all the loose ends... luckily, (at least) we were still in the same TIME zone, even though thousands of miles apart, so we could still chat on IM every evening for an hour, or two, or three... :D so, when I flew up to the US, to get him and our cat (whom I ALSO missed terribly!) it was like honeymoon city! :hug: |
Good Morning all. :) Sitting here with my usual coffee in hand.
sorry didn't check in yesterday, but by the time I got home was too tired to do anything but watch a DVD before crashing. Had a follow up brain and neck MRI. Well, had four scans that needed repeated. 2 due to coughing, one due to a neck twitch, and the last one due to the MRI machine "blue screening" in the middle of the scan. LOL, me and the machine did not get along yesterday. :rolleyes: Due to the extra time, had to run to work straight from there. Work wasn't too bad, but it was a typical friday of lots of people wanting to pay bills. Tonight we're going to a friend's house. Great people who really want to understand my MS. You can tell that some of the questions they ask are from a genuine concern and a desire to know more. :) Have a great day everyone. :) |
oh, man, Finny, that's a bummer!
last MRI for me, lived in a rural area (low demand, few appointments), so when things glitched, they just kept going! that meant I was encapsulated for over three HOURS (full brain & spine w/gadolinium), so I know how ya feel! *** and, as usual, I *completely* forgot to do MY update, in my previous post! Gwyn is laying another egg right now, and seems to like the little hutch we built her. one of my guinea pigs passed away yesterday (Patsy, while having a miscarriage) and that made me cry... will I ever get used to farming and the cycle of life? I dunno... we rose at 4:30 this morning, to hitch a ride to San Ignacio with our neighbor who sells his cabbage at the vegetable market. http://img102.imageshack.us/img102/7...gnacio1mq1.jpg http://www.goworldtravel.com/ex/aspx...xe/article.htm we carried off a week's work of produce (our truck's STILL waiting for tranny parts!) and SCORE !! a HUGE bag of lettuce leaves for my animals. http://img102.imageshack.us/img102/6...emarketdg2.jpg then, the bus ride back home (lol, the buses here are OLD (50s and 60s) school buses from the US... and as I ride, sometimes I wonder if I ever rode this particular bus as a child... that's kinda weird... http://img102.imageshack.us/img102/1...tionbelif5.jpg then, a half-mile trudge uphill on foot, to get our goodies home, feed all the animals, spend an hour unwinding at the computer, and guess what? it's only 9:30 am, and I'm ready for my NAPPY-TIME already! ;) |
I too am glad a friend told me about this site, thank you friend
so many familar faces, I feel right at home already:rolleyes: |
Theresa - So glad your honey is home. I do hope the house sells quickly! Every time we moved as kids my dad would always be away at the "new" place which was always in another state. It was so hard on my mom. I never realized that until I got older and put it all together. Single mom of 10 kids for a month or two - no thanks! I know it must be hard on all of you but things will work out soon. Hang in there and enjoy your weekend with your hubby!!!
Soxmom - OMG! LOL. I did that once but for a different reason. DDs were acting up so horribly that I just left the store. They were about 2 and 3 at the time. That was the last time they acted up in the store. LOL. I hope everyone is feeling better. Fin - Oh, that does not sound like fun. I do not like the MRI's too claustrophobic. I go sedated.:D I am glad your friends were so interested in what was going on with you. What a group of keepers. Kay - Thanks for the pictures. Sorry about the guinea pig.:(. Frank - HI! Glad you are here too! ~~~~~ Not much to update on my part. Kind of boring, I know. But it's a chill weekend for us. I have Mount St. Laundry to tackle and that will be the extent of my chores. I hope everyone has a good day! |
ooops, forgive me... I forgot to add the standard disclaimer!
the above-posted photos were NOT taken by me (my hands were too full to hold the camera!) and are "found online, via Google" type pix. love, kay2 |
Kay, still love the pics anyways. Sorry to hear about the guinea pig. :(
TK, good luck with the mountain. I know my own pile is starting to get that high. :rolleyes: |
Kay - I love them too.
Fin - It's amazing how much laundry DDs create. Teen girls.:rolleyes: They each have double the amount I do. Plus since DBF is letting us use his w/d I will do his as well. It's a fair trade off. |
Quote:
and my two sons were the same way... "wear it until it disintegrates" policy! but my teen daughter (now 29)... well, I taught her how to work the machines, and said, "Have AT it dear!" :D :cool: :D |
LOL Kay. That is so typical of some men, huh? Girls on the other hand, wear an outfit to school, then change to another one, then pjs, and then start it over the next day. Plus, they throw the in between outfit in the hamper. Once it's in there it's dirty. DD16 has a terrible habit of only using a towel once. When I finally caught on to what she was doing and why we were always running out of towels, she said it grosses her out because once you use the towel then all the skin and bacteria get on that one and you need a new one.:eek: I broke her of that habit quick, you're clean when you get out of the shower. LOL. She's gotten better. Each of us has our own color too so they don't get mixed up, now that we all share 1 bathroom. This has helped her quite a bit.
DD17 could care less about the towels and is continually forgetting what color she is. CREAM!!!! I need to embroider her name on hers. LOL |
Just popped in to Hi and post another MS related thread,can't stay long or address everyoen but welcome Frank glad you found us!
My son and I were both up last night running fevers of over 102,coughing,aching and feeling liek poop all the way around...no rest yet today as we had to take my van in to get the lift for my scooter installed. So, as soon as I am done here I am off to bed! HUGS ALL! |
hey all ... I'm having a coke-float ... and will have a root-beer one tomorrow .. had one of those from A&W yesterday ...
finally .... RENEE got a christmas present ... whew!! I was hoping I wouldn't have to go postal on the postal people ... the mice are fun to do ... all the stuff you can find on sale ... I wouldn't have it any other way!! well, got to the recycling center today ... got my disability ap in the mail with a separate letter about 'reviewing' my ap .. this time they are taking their time! well, better clean so I can move more stuff out of storage ... hugs all around! |
cool frank,im guessing u got my email right hun.
Glad u came... :welcome_sign: Ok guys,if its not one thing its another huh. My right arm is Zapping now. :rain: I got up at 11 am,and got cleaned up,and then to the bank to cash DH check. went to get cigarettes,then some snack food for clink and I. Now Im getting ready to clean up the house,and fold laundry,put it away,clean my bathroom. Then watch ghost voyage tonight at 8. So just another lazy day for me. |
