I am ok people....in some small part of me I knew he would pull this crap again, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt...this time I am more at peace with everything and finally ready to move on with our lives, even though I still think about what a big jerk he is, LOL He informed me I could not take our daughter over state lines without the judges permission or it could be considered kidnapping, I assured him that I do not know where he gets his info but that I have sole custody of the kids and can go where I damn well please! However I am staying here, well not here here at mom's but you know. I have 4 job prospects one being my old job! So we will see where it takes us meanwhile, I need to save money cause I need bedroom furniture!
|
Renee, I know your going to be just fine. You will gain your strength from those babies. Be glad this is finally over so they don't have to go through what your going through. They will be raised by someone who will teach them how to be strong and survive in this not so nice world.
I woke up this morning with a tummy ache but I think I'm OK now. Jim has nausea. I hope we're not coming down with a bug. We are supposed to go to the Cubs game tomorrow. Oh, the beds will be here Tuesday! Have a great weekend everyone. |
My cousin will be green with envy...she has been a massive Cubs fan her whole life! I had a tummy thing yesterday myself......hmmmm phone germs?
|
Frank, Glad you enjoyed your dinner. How much weight did you gain back? Just kidding!:D Did you ever hear back from your doctor on LDN?
Sandy, Hope you make it to a cubs game. That sounds like so much fun. I have never been to Wrigley Stadium. I have seen them play the Cardinals two times in St. Louis. It is closer to me. Renee, I am sorry. I hope one of the jobs works out for you. Give your kids a hug for all of us. Sarah, I am glad the neurontin is helping you. Once you get used to it you could probably have a wine cooler occasionally. I will have a glass of wine or a drink (about twice a month) and I have not been too loopy. At least I don't think I have.:D Maybe my friends are just too polite to tell me. I was feeling better yesterday so I went to Champaign with a friend to do a little shopping. I bought 3 shirts; one at Coldwater Creek and two at CJBanks. We went to Red Lobster for lunch where I blew all of my points for the day. We also went to Meijers to buy fruit and fresh veg's (I want a Meijers) because our two little grocery stores here suck! And I hate Wal Mart's produce! Hope everyone has a good weekend! I am going to do laundry and take it easy today. |
Barb I hear you on Walmart. I am getting sick of them and want something new like Jewel or Domincks or Meijer. Walmart's produce seems to spoil so fast it makes you wonder how long it is on the shelves.
Red Lobster is awesome! I cheat on their biscuits. lol |
Renee, Sorry to hear this happened again. But it sounds like you've got plans to move forward too, which is a good thing.
Sandy and Frank, I was rolling when I read about Nic and Starbuck's. What a great surprise, with Frank's influence. :) Sarah, Glad you're feeling a little better. That med is definitely a one glass of any alcohol then done. learned that the hard way on it. It seems to double up the effects of the alcohol. ~~~~~~~~ Morning, morning. Trying to wake up. Forgot to call neuro yesterday, so making myself a reminder. Of course, depending how the weekend goes, it's either going to be just a regular checkup or a "hey, I've felt like this...:deadhorsebeat:..for almost two weeks" I understand feeling this way during the heat wave since MS and heat don't mix, but would've thought it would be gone by now with the break in the weather.:Hum: :hissyfit::ranting::Soapbox::Bawling::thud::Bang-Head: Ok feeling a little better now that I've vented, LOL. Thanks guys. :grouphug: |
Jenn, Jim is feeling like there is no break lately. to you.
|
Sandy, I love those biscuits, but I only ate one this time. They are 4 points each, which translates to about 200 calories.
|

Vonn, it's great to see you so involved with stuff again! Way to go!
Frank, LOL - you sound like my hubby. If I worked for Sears, he'd be thinking of the discount too. Barb, Glad to see you had a good time. ~~~~~~~ Just finished up a painting. Once it dries, I may post a pic. Depends on how I feel about it - LOL. Never quite sure if I like what I've done until I've been away from it for about a day. The joy of abstract art. Hoping this means a turn for the better. Got in a couple of small chores too. ****crossing fingers**** |
Frank, we sit up in the third level under the rafters so you wont see us. We used to sit right behind homebase and rub elbows with the big wigs like Ryne Sandburg...hehehee But, it gets too hot with no cover so we now sit up above. It's nicer up there because people can't walk in front of you or stand. It was 15-16 years before Jim was able to see a home run without people in front of him.
Jenn, I wanna see it! |

I got very lucky a few nights ago, mi esposo made a shrimp bisque to DIE for!! Bisque is a thick, creamy, highly-seasoned soup of French origin, classically of puréed crustaceans... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bisque_(food) I was ooooohing and ahhhing with every slurp, yummy yummy yum ! then, the next night, he made THIS: Mexican Shrimp Soup http://www.divinecaroline.com/articl...an-shrimp-soup :D me so lucky... |
thanks kay its a bisque not a bistro, i knew it started with a b
and its not gooder, it morer betterer, took my one son a long time to understand neither of those are actual words Vonn gald to hear you are doing well:hug: you want to hear how she got the job, we were in line behind this other couple who picked up one of those last minute sale items at the counter and said whats this, it was oblong and had like spikes, protruding out, the manager says i am not too sure its hangs on a key chain, deb recognized it and said its a mini screw driver, which is what it was, the manager said good youre hired ,and deb said good i am looking, filled everything out that day, he never even put up the help wanted notice he had at the counter, thats cool how things like this work out. She has been busting her hump over finding a job since feb like a long time ago when i scrolled up in a chat room and copied a certain someones screen name who was asking for help on how to copy and paste, the name was about to vanish from the chat room, as this person had already left the chat room, cause no one answered them, I IM'ed this person help them out, a simple matter of 5 seconds could of changed from not getting the name to where i am today, married to said person Debbie, call it karma chi vibrations, what ever it is, even a doubting person has to see its there, something is there peace everyone |

LOL. I've debated putting up my artwork on our family's homepage. Might not be such a bad idea, but should it include the ones I call the warts? The ones that I kind of see where I was going with them, but am not sure if I like or if I don't like them. :Hum:

Frank- What cool stories you have. Talk about being at the right place at the right time to meet your wife and for her to get a job. My news- Slept in late then went to next door neighbor's house for a BBQ. Didn't really want to go but it took my mind off the fact that DD is away. Got a phone call from DD last night saying she arrived safely (Mexico missions trip) and was getting settled in. I think I'm going to call it an early night tonight. |

Hey all, just having coffee and getting ready to see the Cubs. They better win today! Jim's feeling good and I started him back on the Bactrim therapy last night. The Levaquin finished yesterday. I'm a little worried about leaving Bergie so long but I am sure she'll be fine. She's spoiled like no other. lol
Everyone have a good day and stay safe and cool. Sarah, Barb and Renee  |
okay... today is 2 WEEKS I've been without my beloved eMac.
it started blinking off on the 10th, and croaked on the 13th (happy birthday to meeeeeeeeeeeee !) I'm on "methadone" for the withdrawals (using hubby's PC - ugh) but my sensitive soul has discerned that it just might be possible that mi esposo isn't thrilled to have me mucking about at his desk... :D luckily, I usually wake up at around 4 or 5 am, which gives me an hour or two to peacefully check my email, write to my kids, and administrate the message board I run for expats in Belize. *sigh* that's not NEARLY enough time, I whimper and whine... well, it's 6:30 here in the jungle, time to go take care of my multiplying ducklings, guinea pigs, rabbits, goats (both appear to be pregnant, cross your fingers!), and check in on the geese, and the chickens, collect eggs, and pass out hay, cabbage, corn, carrots, lettuce, celery, and other goodies... |
Sandy, Hope you and Jim have fun at the Cubs game!
Kay, Sorry to hear you still have to take over hubby's computer. Have fun taking care of your animals. :) Weave, Glad you got out and had some fun at the BBQ. Glad to hear your DD got to mexico safely Sarah,:hug: It's hard and rough losing a little one. I have a few friends who have also gone through that too. Wish I had some words of wisdom. ~~~~~~~~ Good morning all :) Yesterday was a full day, and waiting to see if my coffee will wake me up today. It's supposed to be beautiful out today, so not sure what we're going to have planned. Yesterday we picked up some paint samples. The plain 'ol white on our walls is getting old, LOL. Trying to figure out what would look good in the various rooms. Well, gonna take off here for now. Have a good day everyone. :grouphug: |
Good morning everyone:Tip-Hat:

Hello Vonn have the pregame on now so should be starting in a bout ten minutes or so, I hope Jim has a good day so he can enjoy it.
|
I'm watching the Brickyard instead, LOL. NASCAR home here. ;) :D
|
Hey fin I dont watch it as much as i use to, whats with this random yellow flag? sounds actually pretty interesting
|
hey, wanna hear something weird ??
did you know... there's an OIL in the rinds of mangoes that's related to poison ivy and poison oak ?!? Surprisingly, poison ivy and oak are related to the mango tree and its fragrant, succulent fruit. In locations where mangoes grow (e.g. Hawaii), travelers with a history of poison ivy or poison oak dermatitis will often develop the same rash on their hands, extremities, or corners of their mouth if they are exposed to the skin (from peeling the mango skin with their teeth), or contact sticky mango sap (while picking from a tree). If you have a history of poison ivy/oak rashes, let someone else pick the mangoes and prepare them - then you can enjoy the flesh without an itchy, weeping red rash. ha ha ha ha... how VERY interesting says Kay, with a swollen, blistered and oozing right hand... now slathered with cream, and wrapped in gauze. well, let's try to look on the positive side here... this gets me out of mango-picking duty forever, right ? :D:p:D |
Quote:
Told ya we were NASCAR nuts, LOL. :) |
That's interesting Kay. Now I've got to come and visit ya - I think this makes reason 500 :) I'm one of the rare folks not allergic to poison Ivy or Oak. Which is surprising considering all the other things I'm allergic to, LOL
